Observed 2 for 1 deal, yes these underworked workers did not watch the self scanning techniques, scan 2, and no scan 1, you numbskulls are loosing so much to theft. Hire 1 or 2, and add the 3 standing around watching the clock, and put them behind registers. You are pissing customers off. The worst store chain in America is TARGET - Ordered a virtual reality helmet shop target meta quest 3 128 GB + game this is the worst store I paid 530$ , it was a gift for a birthday , the parcel arrived a couple of days earlier , outside the box was Packed and in the beginning I thought that all is well , but when I tore the paper part to open the box , I opened the box and was shocked by the fact that in the box was nothing but glasses meta quest 2 , the code for the game was cut off , target sent me a box with a device which they have been stolen and returned , this store haven't even checked how much weight box , because it weighed very little , and there was to be a newer version of virtual points and the other components , I called and wanted to do a refund , I was told that will solve this problem in 5-7 days , after 3 days the answer came that they may not return me a new product or money , this is the worst attitude to his clients shop not keep what they have stolen device and just sent an empty box and then refused to send me the device which they originally were supposed to send , it turns out they just took my money and for that I am nothing but the empty boxes with the old device is not received, this is the first store in America who just stole my money, The photo shows that the parts that I tore off have the original glue and it is dry , and outside of this glue is another , another glue was poured around the edges and sealed the box , but your store employees did not check this , and even if they did , they were obliged to check the weight of the box , because if they cannot open , the weight of the box will always be as indicated by the manufacturer , but here it weighed very little read more

This review is definitely long overdue. I actually went to this Target location a few days ago, which was not really my plan. I did some things in the area, and I found the store on my way, so I decided to stop by to buy something and to check the store as well. There is ample parking. The store is big and spacious. I was even surprised to see that the whole place was not too busy. The Target near my place is always busy, which is why I seldom visit it, but this store was the opposite. I definitely liked that it was not too busy because I felt like I was able to do everything freely, it was more comfortable for me, and most importantly, I liked that the checkout was so fast. The store is clean and bright. The selection is fully stocked, and everything is well organized. I just bought a few foods that I could eat on the way, including snacks and some fruits. Speaking of fruits, they have a nice selection of fresh produce. There are also a lot of good options for snacks and fruit. I also checked their department section, which is where I found good quality and designs of clothes for kids and adults. Their selection of clothes here was really wonderful. I also checked their clearance and I could not be more amazed after seeing a lot of great things in it at a very reasonable price. I definitely had a good time in this location of Target. This is not my favorite Target but it's also not the worst. Any Target is better than no Target in my book. Still, they could improve. However, I will say that this location has gotten better in recent years. The layout is better than it used to be and they've expanded some of their departments, but the departments are often a mess. I've often come across items strewn across the floor, labels all over the floor or in other spots than where they should be, and items are more often than not unorganized. It can be hard to find what you're looking for, though I know this is in large part to customers being rude and moving things. The end caps here aren't nearly as interesting as the Glendale Heights store. Sometimes the food shelf is stocked and other times it's a handful of water additives. There's no rhyme or reason to it. It's kind of the same over in electronics, too. There's a video game that's been the same price for over a year and it's supposedly on clearance. Customer service. Lack of customer service. There are a few really nice people working there but many others seem they'd rather be anywhere else. We've come in on a busy Sunday and they have 1 checkout lane open and a huge line. They might open a second lane but it's still a long wait while you'll see 3 other employees just hanging around and chatting. And I once had an interaction with customer service when I returned an item and at the end I said "Thank you very much" and his response was "Yup..." It's hard to explain, but it wasn't as if he misheard me. He said "Yup" in a way like I was expected to give him praise. These kids need better socialization. read more

Their prepaid cellphones are defective and they didn't tell any of the customers this. I had bought a phone and they were nice. There was an employee working the service desk and acted immature. It's easy to stand there and tell customers what they want to hear but your not doing nothing about it. They should have just taken the prepaid cellphones off the shelf. I needed to make a Target trip and a Famous Footwear trip and figured these two are right next to each other, so let's just go to THIS target store. We are leaving on vacation this weekend and I needed to pick up a few last minute things: casual shorts, flip flops, a few snacks and a few miscellaneous items. I realize you have to deal with the space you have, the best you know how but I have never felt so lost inside a Target store. And to any manager of this store that reads this, please take what I have to say to heart. The store is incredibly disorganized. Hence the reason I believe it to have been like a library in there yesterday AND we went shopping at prime time 6pm. It was dead silent. I started by going through the clothing section in hopes of finding some casual shorts for our trip and the section went from juniors to ladies to maternity and completely skipped over women sizes. I actually wander around the women's section (and i know it was the women's section because of the GIANT SIGN that read WOMEN'S) could not find one item that was a "plus size", if you will. There were XXS mixed in with XL...neither of which will work for me. Shorts? Forget about it! Not one pair of shorts anywhere near my size. Gave up there..... Tried to find some computer speakers so we can watch movies on our laptop on our trip they had I believe 2 on display, the speakers blown and I immediately walked away from that section. Could not find the shoe section. Now, I'll admit, I didn't look that hard, but I guess it was because I was turned off by the whole feel of the store. I did not see one employee in any department the entire trip through the store and we were there for atleast 1 hour. Made our way over to the Automotive section for some car air fresheners cause we are driving the boyfriends car on this trip and it's a boy's car to say the least. It needs a good cleaning before we leave and we will be utilizing some air freshening devices on our 9 hour drive. The automotive section was not too bad. We were able to find what we needed without too much of an issue. I am a gal with coupons, so when we made it over to the food section because I wanted to find some granola bars I had some coupons for, but they were in 2 different aisles with about 2-3 aisles between them. CONFUSING!!! The food aisles are short, so I know they have to make due, but c'mon. Put the same items together! Hello! I wanted to grab a bottle of wine, but honestly, I glanced down the aisle and I don't know what it was, but it just was not inviting. I'll admit, I compared it to my Target in Schaumburg at Schaumburg Rd and Barrington, but I just did not even have a desire to go down the aisle. Perhaps it was the fact, and this may sound silly, that the wine I wanted was on the bottom shelf, but, hey, I had a hard day. :) Got up to the cosmetics dept., and it was just fine. No complaints. My final thought it this: when I made it up to the check out. There was one "Express" line open and one regular check out open. My boyfriend needed to use the washroom and I whined because then he would not be there to help me unload the cart, not that there was much, but he went anyways. And by the time he got back about 5 minutes later: I had not moved. What slow moving check out lines....We laughed about it, because we both were just annoyed by that point. The cashier was friendly, so that was appeasing but I felt like there should have been a self check out to expedite the process if they are only going to have 2 registers running. Overall, not going to be back there unless I absolutely need to be. Quite a disappointment. ps. when you walk through the front entrance on a sunny day, and your eyes take a second to adjust, you could almost kill yourself walking into the security detectors when the automatic doors open up. I am generally a pretty big fan of target. I don't have much in the way of complaints - other than the fact that I tend to spend more than I planned when I go to a target location. The stores in general are clean and offer a large variety of products. I can usually find what I am looking for unless it is an express Target which I try not to bother with. This particular Target did not offer anything out of the ordinary or unusual. Not a bad place to visit though. This is my local Target. It's clean and usually well stocked. Whenever I'm in a pinch for a last minute wedding gift or graduation present, this is my place. There is a Starbucks in this location that I have been to a couple of times, and it's good. My wife and I like the pharmacy here. Bathool is their lead pharmacist. She is so professional, kind, and just a great person overall. Target is fortunate to have her, as her team has taken well to reflecting her example. This Target compared to the Target in Niles on Touhy Avenue is better. The store is more clean, more organized. I had a older cashier. She was very friendly. I was shopping there during the sugar tax that failed miserably in Cook County. Even though I live closer to the Target on Touhy Avenue in Niles, I am going to try to make an effort to go back to this location instead. The Target on Touhy Avenue has a horrible shoe department for kids. Too small of aisles, completely disorganized. Styles and sizes all over. Not as good as a shoe selection for kids as it used to have. It used to be more neat and more space in the aisles prior to the renovation. My favorite Target! I have been coming here for years. Very clean and I like the layout. I utilize the "drive up, order pickup" option A LOT and in all the years I've been coming here, I've only had small inconveniences twice (both times an item was missing) but when I let them know, they were very swift in getting me my items + a small gift card for the "hassle"! All of the employees are very nice and helpful; never have had an issue. I have noticed that this Target is more quiet than other Targets, which I prefer. I shop through the app a lot, and if this location does not carry something or it's out of stock, etc., the Villa Park or Glendale Heights location (both nearby) will. I have noticed in the past couple of months, they've stopped selling certain items (like certain snacks, certain drinks, etc). Call ahead if you need something specific or check app if it's in stock at this location. Side note, if you don't have the Target app, DOWNLOAD IT! It's so user friendly. read more

This particular store has a good selection of food since they've remodeled. For some reason the food section is pretty organized but the rest of the store is all over the place. Things that should go together, don't. Other items are just kind of thrown together because they didn't have room to put them anywhere else. They definitely need to learn some organizational skills. The people that work there are usually pretty unfriendly. As a few other Yelper's have said, the manager is a jerk. He's full of himself and rude. Also, the security guard likes to follow my boyfriend EVERY time he is in the store. My boyfriend actually caught the security guard peeking at him from behind a shelf one time!! NO, he has not stolen anything ever. The only reason I can assume he would be following him is because he's young and wears baggy clothes. Either way, it's pretty annoying. Whenever I try to find someone to answer a question for me or direct me to an item, it's near impossible. The employees seem to be in groups gossiping and not really doing their job. (Which is probably the reason the store is so disorganized.) I go to this Target because it's close, but if there was another one in the area, I'd probably boycott this one. read more

Okay, Target. You get a star bump. Why? Because you're shinier and prettier than you used to be. Because I did get some good help from a pharmacy guy, who was incredibly patient with me. I guess that's the luck of the draw. But mostly because of the brand-spanking-new FRESH GROCERY section. This is genius, people. What used to be a small cold case, a small freezer case, and a couple of rows of cereal, coffee, and chips is now a whole section. There's fresh fruit, fresh meat, cheese, bread, and a lot more pantry, frozen and refrigerated stuff. It's not a full-fledged grocery store, by any stretch, but the selection is surprisingly good for what it is. A ton of Archer Farms products, which are brilliant on Target's part, seeing as a lot of the flavors and varieties simply can't be found in other national brands. There is a Jewel a couple stores down in the same strip mall, and I don't plan to ever go in there again. Whether I need a quick gallon of milk, a bag of apples or a frozen pizza, Target saves the day. read more

I'm at this Target at least once a week to pick up baby items. They always have everything I need in stock. The store is always clean and the employees are always welcoming. The only complaints I have is that the clothing sizes are all mixed up and the security device by the doors are a walking into hazard. Besides that I'll be back. read more

This Target is Utterly disgusting! I walked in and usually any other Target I'm greeted at least 3 times but not here! The only person that greeted me was a sweet girl in cosmetics named Brittany (hate to mention but she was black) she came to my rescue, and helped me find all the products i needed after 2 girls and some guy named Steve acted like they didn't have time for my little questions! Also the food section had rotten fruit and funny enough the toilet paper aisle smelled like complete shit! I really wish i could've spoken to a manager about their associates but they don't take the time to listen to customers either! So sad! This store is falling apart. It's a mess. The staff is rude and really doesn't care about helping. I was walking thru the store just today and the person I was with said the employee had greeted me, but I am deaf. About 80%. According to my assistant, the dude by he front end called me an asshole. I wouldn't know because I can't hear. 2 weeks ago I came in to buy an iPad. The guy in electronics stood and glares at me for 25 minutes while he was on a personal call on his phone. I was a regular customer of the Wood Dale Target store. I used to purchase all my Bounty paper towels there. Between home and my business, I purchase only Bounty, and only when they're on sale. I always purchase the 12=20 packs, and I always purchase 14 packs, 14 because that quantity fills the car, with no room for passengers. I make 6 of these paper towel runs per year. The last time I went to the Wood Dale Target, 8:30 on a Sunday morning. I hauled 14 packs of 12 on two carts, from the farthest wall of the store all the way up to the cash register, only to be told the register wouldn't show the SALE price. The floor manager gave me a hard time, said they weren't on sale. I ran back to the paper towel section, grabbed the SALE placard, and showed it to the manager. He wouldn't honor the SALE price, so I left the store ticked off, never to return, all because of a BAD store manager. I drove from Wood Dale to Bloomingdale, purchased 14 packs, and got the SALE price, no questions asked. read more

Call me a simple person, but the customer service that I experienced yesterday is a WOW in my book - and that is even after mistakes were made. When I walked in, the woman handling returns had an open bottle of nail polish and I jokingly asked her to paint my nails - and she did! While I was shopping, several friendly Target team members were at my disposal...and the key being friendly. There was a problem with my coupon at checkout and the manager walked over, gave me a discount that was a bit higher than what my coupon was and didnt try to make me feel like an idiot for using the coupon. This Target is ON POINT. I never knew how great a Target could be when I lived in the city (Hello Brickyard Target!) until I moved to the 'burbs and started shopping here. Service: They're on top of keeping the lines SHORT and will often have someone left to monitor the POS area to make sure no ones waiting forever to ring out their items. Their staff is also super nice, you'll get a hello at the register and if you ask for help they dont send you on a wild goose chase or give you a look like youre bothering them. (its a miracle!) Products: I hardly ever see this store have empty shelves. Products are often lined up and filled on the shelves no matter what time of day I go. And most of their clothing sections are very neat; sweaters folded, shirts lined up, socks and undies where they should go according to size and style. Their pet section (where I frequent) is always fully stocked in all the tidy brand litters I love,something that seems petty but that stores I've come across don't really have a lot of. Parking: This is a BIG issue for me shopping at some places where people dart in between parking aisles or where I have to walk what seems like the length of a football field to just run in and buy say, toothpaste. Its annoying at other places. Here I almost always find space close to the door and people that drive here are pretty tame. Location: Its right off of Irving Park so it's by a few restaurants and a gas station. Theres also a Petco and a Sally's next door that I walk over to on big shopping days. The target is always clean and organized, but man, do they have stock issues. This Target really gets the short end of the stick whenever there is a sale. Anything with a really good deal is general out of stock by Sunday afternoon. And once something runs out, they never seem to get it back in that week! I KNOW they get trucks, but apparently not with the sale items. But the day after the sale ends, lo and behold, the shelves that were bare hours ago are now brimming with items again. And this is all if they even have the item to begin with. I know it's not a Super Target, but if you're going to have a 40-50% off cartwheel sale, why would you not send the smaller stores at least a little product, if only to hold for a couple weeks? I went there a couple days ago to see if they had the items that were on sale, and a lady with one of those stock scanners was checking items for me... at least a half dozen different sale items that they didn't even carry. I tried calling to see if they had a particular video game in stock since the store closest to me (Wheaton, which has MUCH better service) said according to their system in the store (which is more accurate than their website which doesn't update enough) Wood Dale was the closest location that would have it. Wood Dale is far enough where I'm not going to just drive there without calling to make sure they have it, but unfortunately they don't answer their phone. I got disconnected twice and they let the phone ring 2+ minutes without answering it. Total pain. I'll just keep looking for another store that'll carry it and do a price match. Just went there to get a new smart TV, and asked the Tech guy a bunch of questions about a Samsung versus a Vizio and he didn't have any answers about anything. He said he doesn't know anything about Samsung and he's never owned a Samsung. Please explain to me why he is the Tech guy? Haven't been her in a while then I kind of remembered why, target staff acts too snooty/snobbish for me. Thought I'd give the self checkout a try to avoid the negative not so friendly social experience but 1 lady slipped over to "help" me check out my 4 items, she started going through the purse is bought asking her is everything okay, are you looking for something? She said "they" told me to check, but whatever I let her go through the bag as if she was looking for pennies down in the bottom of the purse flipping it and shaking it, while the Caucasian people at the other self checkout also had a purse, she didn't go looking for spare change in their bags, then I thought I shouldn't think that was but hard not to when that is exactly what happened. Of course she didn't find what she probably wanted to find so said Okay Thank You... oh now you want to be polite? You're lucky I had to go pick up my daughter or else the rest of your team and higher ups/ managers would've had to listen to me. I am planning to take back my purchase after that, still have it in a bag with the receipt just because they made me feel very uncomfortable and in front of others. Why is it that I can't walk out of Target without spending $100? I am a loyal customer of Target and I will not shop at any store that begins with "W". I cringe at the thought. Love the clothes, love the home furnishings and décor, love the food....love Target! It is awesome how Target will allow you to use a Target coupon + manufacturer coupon on items to maximize savings...plus the 5% off when you use your Target card! I'm also digging the new layouts/food/grocery expansions in non-Super Target stores. I haven't got caught up in their designer collaborations so I can't really comment about those. I do know that when I visit a day or so later after a launch, there aren't any items left so I can only imagine how launch day went. Ruined my holiday. I ordered some 4th of July gear for my 2 year-old son and only half my order was there to pick-up. I found the hat that was suppose to be in my order nearby. I placed my cart with hat outside the dressing room that had no attendees and when I came back out the cart and hat were gone but the same lady from pick-up was there. she never even looked up from her phone when I asked for help. I had a very bad experience at this store. It is just a few miles from my home but from now on I will go to the Target in Schaumburg on Golf Road near Woodfield. I went there to avoid the Wood Dale store, and lo and behold I found a friendly store where everyone knows the employees by name and it is so completely wonderful. Back to the Wood Dale Target- All the other reviews mirror my experiences there. Impossible to get help, the staff on the floor are rude and spend all their time talking to each other and ignoring the customers. You can't find anything, there are no mirrors, and it is poorly organized. When you do find someone, they don't know where anything is and tell you an aisle then walk away before you actually find your item. My worst experience was very recently when I found pajama bottoms. There were two of one item in my size with different prices. I took both to the cashier and asked which price was correct. She told me both of them and then proceeded to explain that if on item (identical mind you) came in later it might have a different price. I found this ludicrous. Then this woman proceeded to lecture me about how stores do this kind of thing, while checking out my $400+ worth of merchandise. I politely asked her to stop talking and she would not. When I went to the service desk to complain about her - and I have to tell you, I am not one of those hot-wired fussy people, this was a first for me- the people behind the desk did not apologize and they said ok thanks for telling us. It was like they weren't planning to do anything. Which gets back to my original sentences- the people there pretty much don't do anything. And I think Target corporate should send their regional manager there to do some serious investigation about price marking, customer service training, and overall store management. I really thought maybe these people are all relatives of someone in Target, how else can they keep a job here? My advice- go to the Target in Schaumburg, it is a whole different experience and much better, nicer, well organized. read more
