This review is less about the location and more about a specific employee... the older Asian lady at the self checkout area. I was scanning my things when she came up and asked if I had scanned all my items.. I said yes and proceeded to pull up my app and get ready to pay. When I paid, and I started bagging my items, she handed me my basket and took over the station which forced me to have to bag my items off the floor because I had no other place to do it... she then started using the checkout computer to pull up a copy of my receipt to double check that I wasn't stealing right in front of me?! What the actual f***. That pissed me off. So rude? Just ask to check my receipt or my bag when I'm done or look at the damn total. You think I'd be stealing 4 tubs of formula and still be paying $200 in front of you?! read more

I've been meaning to visit Target, which opened nearly a year and a half ago, and today I finally stopped by to grab some breakfast essentials--K-cups. For a weekend, the foot traffic is lighter than other Target chains, including one less than 5 miles away (Fullerton). The location is clean with aisles that are well-organized, making it easy to find items, and helpful staffs always around. This location has less produces so avoid coming here for groceries. The egg dilemma is reflected here, too!! :)) There limited groceries but household item like candles are wayyyy to much. For such a limited shelf space -- what's the deal with the candles? Staff are generally friendly and helpful when you need assistance, and it doesn't feel as chaotic as some bigger Targets in the area. Smaller Target location is organized and clean. We love that they have a large shaded area for curbside pickup so that it's less hot and the vehicle is in shade when waiting for curbside orders. Came here for First Aid Beauty cream which helps so much with dry skin. Also got some travel spray hand sanitizer from the minis baskets and it's got a barely there smell which is great. First time here the self check out was closed so the poor cashier up front was swamped with a morning rush while the person at the empty returns counter just stood and stared until the cashier asked for help. Would have been more team player like for the empty returns counter person to volunteer to help since there were 5 people waiting to buy and zero people waiting to return items. Second time here there was someone in the self care department who offered to ring us up for our lotion without having to wait in line up front. She was so helpful and nice! Overall I understand the reviews about the smaller selection but this location seems great for prescription pickup since they have a CVS inside and excellent for curbside pickup since they have the shaded area that's off to the side and not just an afterthought in the middle of a bustling parking lot like most locations. Today, was the grand opening for this location. They were giving out free tacos and a 360 Photo Booth in the store. It was a pretty cool first day. The staff greeted you when walking in which was a huge plus. It was like the total red carpet treatment. The store itself was pretty small and I was hesitant if I was going to like it or not. Surprisingly, they had all the popular brands and offered such a variety of everyday needs. They were fully stocked too which was a plus. There are only 4 cash registers but 6 self check out kiosks. I am sure during busy/peak seasons, the lines will be long. Other than that, the experience was great and I actually think this will be my new go to Target store. See you soon!!! read more

*OPENING DATE* APRIL 2nd Super excited when I found out that a mini Target was coming to our neighborhood. Located in the old Osh Building. In the Valley View & Yorba Linda Plaza. Where our local Sprouts along w Starbucks & Yogurtland is. This neighborhood Target has a Curb Side pick up also. I started frequenting this Target since I moved from East YL to West. I love that it's small and not overwhelming like a full sized Target, yet seems to have what I need. Quiet and clean. The employees have always been so nice when I shop. I wish I remembered more names, but my last trip today Lisa was ringing up the items, and she was so friendly and in a genuinely positive mood. My family and I just recently moved to placentia/yorba linda area just about a year ago. We have been shopping at this target since then. But these most recent times as my family and I with our child have been checking out at the self check out the same older Asian lady never caught her name. She wears glasses. Has watched me and my family the entire time and we have given them no reason to suspect us of stealing and after each time we have checked out only to our register she has pulled a receipt and gone over and rechecked it, it has made me and my family so uncomfortable other than that the store has been great and the employees are helpful but this one particular employee has made our shopping experience very very uncomfortable. read more

You need to know how you're going to utilize thisTarget. I mean that going both ways one as the consumer, and to as the company. I'll start off by saying I love the location and it's amazing for pick up orders. They often have some items that the local Target off of Yorba Linda doesn't have down the road. So if that's how you're going to leverage the target, I think it's a perfect way to go as a consumer and also not too bad for things that are very common items. There just isn't the stock or space to have a wide selection here. What isn't so fun is that if you're going to run a small target with limited offerings and you're going to dedicate specific space to things you need to keep those things in stock. The few times I've gone inside now since the grand opening shelves are often empty. The reading card section was essentially emptied. You've got a whole row front and back that could've been taken down to next to nothing given your stock just seems if you're going to dedicate the space you need to provide the product. The inside of the store is beautiful. Looks well done. Parking outside is brutal. There's might be a borderline three or four rating but until they can figure out how to keep their limited items in stock, I'll be using it for a drive up only. read more

I visited this location this week. Went in to get something real quick and made my way to the self checkout area. The employee was helping a customer in the middle of the entrance with a locked box. I went around as she was using a key and seemed it was gonna be a minute and 4 check out stations were open. As I passed by the employee said how rude it was and what a rush I was in I could not wait. The customer she was helping so got in it and talked trash. I will not be coming back to this location again. Very rude and unprofessional of this employee. I hope to never come across that kinda behavior again. read more

Oh, look, it's one of those little Targets. It's small, and, yes the parking is a little bit of a concern. But this is a great spot if you just need to do your drive up order. Or you need a few quick things around the house. They don't really have a full section of anything, but they have food, they have beauty supplies, they have toys, they have office supplies. Clean, small, mostly-stocked with essentials, friendly service, parking lot was mobbed the first month of opening since so many in YL were hyped to get a nearby Target store. Store traffic has normalized, if not declined altogether with the two big minuses here being the limited selection of goods and even more limited drive-up options (in fact, is this even open?). Its nice going here for the basics and also its location is great next to a Sprouts too. But as other posters have said, the Target a couple miles away in Fullerton has double the selection and more convenient pickup options. read more

Hurrah for a new brand Target! This storefront was intended to be a quick, smaller scale concept, so naturally they don't have nearly the same selection as a larger location. Nonetheless, they have most of the essentials, including electronics, toys, umbrellas, cards, apparel, bathing suits, diapers, beauty products, purses, food and more. Target is finally open!!!!! Not to many people were in the store. There was enough parking surprisingly. The store is absolutely gorgeous and colorful inside!!! They had all the things a normal target has except a small version. There even was a mini Ulta beauty store inside. There is a pharmacy, no Starbucks (there is one in the plaza across the way) there is no food court or popcorn. Plenty of electric vehicle charging stations. Quaint, carries the most popular/best selling items, carries high end cosmetics in limited quantities, parking will be difficult once word gets out that this place exists, has three types of carts, self check out and full service checkout, and very limited groceries. Shares parking with yogurtland, chase bank, and fantastic Sam. Directly across from dunkin donuts, next to sprouts, behind KFC, and behind the new denny's. Awww. Well, I've been shopping at this store off and on since they opened. Though, I actually prefer an older Target in the area. This one has always been great for those gotta have it quick trips. So, today, my adult kid and I head to get some things for her spring break trip and of course, I've got a few things I need as well. I'm guessing they've had issues with theft cause they now have dividers or whatever around the perimeter of Ulta. Sorrows. Prayers. Or whatever the Queen on Bridgerton says. I'm shopping with money so not my problem. So, it wasn't completely strange that they were activating "operation watch/demean the 53 yr old, black female engineer wearing the old navy leggings with you guessed it 0 pockets and the 'Just God' tee with you guessed it 0 pockets shopping with her college kid wearing her college joggers and baggy hoodie over Lulu tank." I'm going to be really sarcastic right now (warning). Why would they follow me, you ask ? Cause they (wrongly) think this engineer wants to lose her job and the college student she's invested 6 figures on over priced education for, that's spent 4 years of blood, sweat, and tears in college only wish on a beautiful sunny CA day is to go to Target, and I'm guessing they're thinking, shoplift? Cause, oh , as I mentioned we're black women. It gets exhausting. Racial profiling is stupid and exhausting. But, at least the young man on my back in the loud and proud shirt marked loss prevention, was helpful in pointing out the razors I asked his help finding since he was all my back and everything. And, his coworker stocking the end of the aisle was helpful with locating the one option for easy off oven cleaner I couldn't find. My handheld basket was now filled with a mix of travel size toiletries, one ulta item under $20, allergy eye drops, OTC meds, and 1 personal hygiene product. Totaled about $74 after birthday coupon discount with Target circle (yay) cause all shoplifters know to scan their personal information and checkout with a friendly cashier. Enough of my description of a day in my life in YL. I know you wish you were me. Another store I can no longer shop at. Pretty soon I'll have to order online only. Dont get me wrong I love target but I wasnt even in the plaza to shop at target and yet i still had an issue with the carts. Couldnt even get into my car to backout because the carts lock up and people just leave them everywhere. I think its crazy that your guys carts cant even make it to the other end of the parking lot without locking. Luckily I am strong enough to drag them out of the way but I have seen this happen to multiple older people halfway through the parking lot and I would hate for it to happen to someone who cant move them. I work in the plaza and have had to help 3 people on seperate occasions moving the carts because of them locking and I dont even work at target. No one is out there actively bring them back in or unlocking them and there was at least 10 carts locked I saw just today which is ridiculous when your still in the same parking as target. read more

This is the most organized Target I've ever been to. Everything was super super organized and the layout of the store makes it easy to find what I need. This area used to be a Target dead zone and I was actually hoping that Target would buy this location after the previous tenant (OSH) went out of business. It's great to finally have a Target in this area. Unfortunately, it's a mini-Target, even smaller than the other Yorba Linda Blvd Target down in Fullerton. They have the essentials, but a very limited selection of some things like food. It's not their fault that the building isn't larger, but the limited selection is why I only give it 4 stars. Overall the store was clean and the staff seemed fine. My only complaint, other than the size, is that today was their grand opening but most of the bananas looked like they should have been sold by a few days ago. read more

Be warned at pick up!! They have a very careless and lazy pick up young lady worker. I put the delivery side as my side passenger seat but she needed to see my code and chose to proceed to my driver's side instead! So i lowered my drivers window down to show her the code. She immediately dropped the heavy package onto my heavy pregnant belly!!! Of course it hurts my belly and I'm so upset and had to go get a medical evaluation after that since abdominal trauma can cause issues!!! Wtp!!! This is a five star target because of two main things, the vibes, and customer service. The vibes of the target are good it's quiet has good music and is peaceful and makes me feel like I have achieved total peace. My fiance went after work to buy formula for our baby. Mind you it's the closest target that was open by the time he got off work so he went to the Yorba Linda location, usually we go to the one in Chino or surrounding areas closer to our home. He was trying to use a coupon we got from the Manufacturer of Similac. The cashier was nice but couldn't get the coupon to go through so she called her manager. Managers name is "FLOR" she was super RUDE and non professional!!!! She said the coupon doesn't work at their store that they don't take any coupons then she said they dont Take WIC either! Like first of all what does WIC have to do with a manufacturer coupon for the formula, second of all your insinuating that we use WIC like it's a bad thing. Thirdly I could hear your tone of voice was super rude and you basically just didn't want to do YOUR JOB and provide customer service! You should learn from your cashier at least she was polite. I would like a call back from an actual manager that knows what they are doing and isn't racist or likes to stereotype customers. I was so excited that Target came to Yorba Linda.My two daughters are on spring break so I decided to treat them to a Target trip. All the moms at my daughter's school were raving about how nice the new location was. So we went, I am an avid Target shopper and have been for years and I have NEVER had an experience like the one I did today. I was racially profiled while shopping in the store,followed. My 15year old wanted to check out the Ulta section they had but she quickly wanted to leave after her letting me know that she felt uncomfortable and like the employees were watching and following her down each isle. Our Target trip ended fairly quickly due to us not feeling comfortable in the store and being followed. On top of all that when we checked out the register was having problems accepting Targets RED CARD. So the cashier had to turn off her light for her line and call a manger and after many failed attempts due to their stay it being up to par I had to complete the transaction through the Target app. I have being living in YL for many years, my kids go to school here & I have never faced or felt so uncomfortable and unwanted. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS LOCATION AGAIN,I will stick to the Brea or Anaheim Hills location! read more
