Elizabeth Anna's is a diamond in the rough. Tucked away on a strange little driveway off 8th Ave,…read moreyou would never expect to find ducks, chickens, and a goat strutting around, sunning themselves in a beautiful garden where you can pick your own greens, just across the street from Fiesta and a bunch of shut-down pawn shops. I have been a few times to pick up gardening supplies, but this is so much more than a garden store. It really is like a tiny farmer's market for just one farmer. On Saturdays, Elizabeth Anna has a small table set up with local produce, organic foods, and the day I went, even homemade pretzels and honey mustard. I had a great snack, a delicious kombucha, and picked up local squash, arugula, and tomatoes for the week. Saved myself a trip to the grocery store and made for a delightful morning! Elizabeth Anna is a great resource and can answer your gardening questions, and is a lovely person to chat with about most things local and natural.

After 20 years of a roller coaster ride with cancer, I returned to my hometown and stumbled upon a place where I've found, not only an unspoken peaceful understanding of my intricate and strange struggle, but a wealth of knowledge about natural and healthy ways of coping with my ever-evolving condition; as well as, fresh healing foods, helpful information about my community and classes about how to cook for my condition! I get chills every time I think about this lovely woman, Elizabeth Anna, whom I never met, yet who experienced my struggle so intimately and crafted such a peaceful place to heal. I marvel at all the courageous love that she and her friends and family put into this one-of-a-kind wonderscape; and I'm continually blown away by the courageous love each of the folks, who continue to nurture her dream, convey each time they welcome new and old neighbors from near and far into both a poignant work of art and nourishing landscape. Kudos to James and all his crew for keeping the faith and continuing on with a bountiful vision for the City of Fort Worth and beyond!
