    Haddock Dinner

Had lunch at Village Kitchen, chose to order the Haddock Dinner and it was cooked to perfection. You got to choose your own sides and how haddock was cooked. 10/10 recommended. Service is always great.

Stopped in for lunch. Meatball calzone was ABSOLUTELY delish. Onion rings alone are worth the trip . Great service and great food.

The food and service is nothing special. The dining area was not the cleanest. We will not be back.

We love their pizza, but they don't offer curb side pickup, forcing us to go elsewhere:(

We almost couldn't hear each other across a small table. Decent wine list. They had a Prisoner Chardonnay $14 and Unshackled Cabernet Sauvignon $13. I got an Oberon Sauvignon Blanc for $10. The crab cake appetizer for $18 came with two burger-sized crab cakes, a peach salsa that was the star of the show, and a dill remoulade sauce. Enough to share. However, the texture was like moist breadcrumbs, similar to falafel, and we saw no crabmeat. It was seasoned to taste like seafood, but the crab didn't show up to the party. My husband got the Tuscan filet for $43 and said it was tender but not medium rare as he ordered. It was definitely medium. I got the seafood saffron for $32 that came with two medium sized scallops, 3-4 medium shrimp and a few small pieces of lobster. I saw a few shorts threads of saffron but the sauce was sweet! Not coconut sweet, but sugary sweet. I thought it would be sherry based like a light Newburgh sauce, but no. I'm not keen on sweet seafood. I thought a lemon or sherry based light sauce would have complimented the scallops and lobster better. Sorry Breeze kitchen staff. I have to be honest, but hopefully kind. The food was plated beautifully. You set out cloth napkins. But we can't see coming back for a long while. That was our anniversary dinner. $137.91 plus tip. Swing and a miss.

That settled it; we had to try it. Out of sheer excitement or exhaustion, we forgot to make a reservation. I quickly remembered this mistake as we entered Hooked. People filled every table and seat at the bar. I looked at my bestie with great concern because we were anticipating our first meal of the day. The hostess welcomed us warmly, and then she asked the dreadful question, "Do y'all have a reservation?" We sadly said no, and she immediately began to express regret. Maybe it was the "Grad2026" headband or the disappointment on our faces that caused her to have pity on us because she told us to wait one second. The hostess walked to the bar, then she went to the main seating area, lastly she went next door where there's additional seating. She returned with a smile and motioned for us to follow her. The hostess found us seats at the bar! We ordered, chatted with the locals, and ate a delicious meal. We even made room for dessert which we learned was made by the owner, the hostess! Whenever we visit New Hampshire again, we're definitely stopping by Hooked!

I was heart broken but it was my own undoing as I djdnt make a reservation. Just as I was opening yelp to find another place to try she came and got me from outside as a spot opened up! That's service! And I won't forget it. All the staff was very kind and she checked in with me several times during my meal to make sure it was going well. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat. So if it took a little bit it was worth it! I'd eat here the next time I'm in Manchester 10/10

Not terribly busy but the tables were steady and there was plenty of room to spread out. Only one server working the whole room (thankfully it wasn't super busy) and she was absolutely terrific. Personable, attentive, and prompt. We had no complaints to offer about the service on this particular evening. Looked like they were setting up for some live entertainment but unfortunately we were seated, served, and done before the first note. Our food was terrific. Eggplant Parmesan and the Cheese Raviolis. The garlic bread was a bit doughy but honestly both meals were great and the bread was was still fine to eat. Started with an order of Potato skins that were a great starter as well. Meal was served with a great pace that let us visit without significant interruption. Dining room is big enough for large groups and couples all. Clean and presentable. I do hope they plus up the servers during the busier seasons and when demand is high. Nice reliable location that we hope is consistent with their food and service. See you next time!

When the order was up 10 mins later - I asked if I could eat in the dining area and was told No but we could eat outside at the Picnic tables. It was 90 degrees ! We drove home 20 mins - and of course fries were cold. The Lobster Roll was awful, had an odd taste, some kind of spice/herb or maybe the lobster was turning. The subs were okay, same as every other sub place. Wouldn't make the drive another time - might if I was going by and nothing else was available. They need some customer service training and checking their product quality. I will say the hostess and a waitress tried to let us sit in the DR but the young guy at the sub and pizza counter said NO. It's a shame, it could be a nice community restaurant - but you have to treat customers better than that.
