It used to be alright pizza.. now it's ridiculously thin (see image) and ridiculously overpriced. The quality is poor, and I noticed the place is empty these days (it used to be constantly busy.) Apparently the new owners are terrible and don't care whatsoever. We will NEVER be back. I hope this place goes under, and it very likely will. Total absolute ripoff. read more

After years of being a customer I was surprised when my daughter brought home a pizza today that was not cooked properly. We called and were told to bring it back. My daughter did so and the employees were Rude to her, questioning her, saying it was a perfect pizza. It was disgusting that she was treated so, but more disgusting was the pizza, for a second time! The thin crust pizza was hot and fresh, chicken tenders were hot, crispy, and tasty. What an underrated, poorly signed shop in a deserted looking strip mall.. The young girl behind the counter is always super nice and helpful, so i have nothing negative to say about her. The service 5 stars are for her ONLY! The other stars are based on the comments below. The takeout was, out right "I don't give a shit." When i ordered food that I get with two containers, the top of the bottom one is always melted. How could you send this out the door like that? At least put something in between the two containers. It's very disrespectful to your customers. I'm sorry but this is the worst pizza I've ever had in my life. I really try to leave positive reviews but I just can't. I ordered a small sausage, mushroom and onion pizza, well done. So first it's not well done. Not even close. Second the onions on top aren't even cooked. I never would have added on the onions if I had known. But the kicker in my eyes is there is almost zero sauce. It's like I should have ordered the sauce as an item. If I had to do a blind taste test, I don't think I could actually identify it as pizza. Exit 28 Pizza (formerly Pete's Bella Pizza & Pub) is a very casual pizza restaurant (an order at the counter place) serving up pizza (by the slice or pie), calzones, hot & cold subs, salads, burgers, Italian dinners, fried seafood (haddock, shrimp, scallops), chicken tenders, kabobs, appetizers, Coke products, and vitamin water. The prices are reasonable here, most individual items & dinner plates priced under $10. Though not my favorite pizza, I had a cheese pizza slice for lunch, which was edible with a firm crust topped with a spread of tomato sauce (could use more) and sparse amounts of cheese. Recently, I ordered an Eggplant Parmesan Dinner ($7.95) at Exit 28 Pizza, which included salad and garlic bread The eggplant parmesan was pretty decent, a modest portion which had layered breaded eggplant slices over soft spaghetti and topped with plenty of thick tomato sauce and melted mozzarella cheese. The side salad was good, which had crisp iceberg, tomatoes, onions, & green peppers, and dressing on the side. The baked buttered garlic toast was good. Oof. The reviews on here are awful but I have not a clue why. We stayed in NH for a week...and came here three times during that week because it was so dang good. We'd go weekly if it wasn't 10 hours from our house our kids loved the sausage pizzas (and they are BIG) while we devoured their calzones. We got the spinach and ricotta and added ham + marinara for dipping. It was so good. And gigantic. I mean...it took up the entire 18" pizza box. Do yourself a favor and go here. Ignore the bad reviews, the lack of curb appeal and try it. It's worth it. read more

Ordered from here a couple times and I regret it. Honestly don't know how people can enjoy this. I wouldn't even call it food per se it's more akin to an edible substance. The meatballs, pizza, subs, sides are all horrid as well as any of their sauces. This place makes little caesars look like a Michelin star restaurant. It surprises me that they haven't either gone out of business or received a failing grade from a health inspector. Because Lord knows this place has made me severely ill on a number of occasions. BBQ chicken sandwich was the single ugliest dish I've ever seen! Chicken wasn't cut, they were whole tenders, bbq sauce was globed on, most of the food was really rough to look at, and harder to eat. They do not seem to care about presentation and quality at all - pizza was the best part, cheese and sauce were good. Parm grinders were so incredibly saucy, everyone had to squeeze half of the sauce out of their grinders (chicken, eggplant and meatball). Would not recommend, no one directed us to napkins or plastic ware, just brought out the food and left, kind of weird. They have potential if they were to put some love into their dishes rather than slapping them together like this! Need to rethink how most items are prepared, and then need to train staff to execute - definitely a failed dinner. read more

After a 3 hour drive from home to Greg's house, I am always craving pizza. And as you all know, when I crave something, there are no other options but for me to have it (yes, I get hangry!). However, I have learned, that exit 28 pizza will rarely, ever, fulfill those cravings. I have learned, not to crave pizza on these drives, or to fulfill these cravings elsewhere. Given this were anywhere else, I would give it 2 stars. However, there are no other pizza options within 20 miles. The pizza is decent, it is not bad. It leaves a lot to be desired. It is easy for stopping on your way home from skiing, or if you are too lazy to cook. If you are expecting it to taste amazing, you probably shouldn't be trying to get pizza in NH anyways. read more

You should never have to tell a pizza place to include cheese on a cheese pizza. You should be able to depend on an average, takeout pizza shop to have a cheese-covered pizza without having to add extra cheese to do it. A cheese-pepperoni pie to go resulted in a pizza that was scant-cheese and a few pepperonis-on-dry-bread. The cheese did not adequately cover this pie in any way. The flavor of the 'roni and cheese were good, with a decent, medium-thickness crust. But come on, you can't skimp on cheese for a cheese pizza. It is about as basic as it gets. This was a single experience, perhaps they were off their game, but the fact is you have one shot to impress people passing through, and you ruined my one splurge on pizza calories. I am not happy... Pizzas should be perfect every time from a takeaway shop like this. It's a crap shoot, you may get a perfectly fine pie if they work to improve consistency. read more

Nothing fresh about this place. Pizza crust is dry, bland, and tastes like reprocessed cardboard. It's pretty obvious that they are not interested in taking the time to make their own dough and crusts. It bothers me when a place is just lazy or cheap with their ingredients. This place has so much potential if someone in the kitchen would put some effort into what they do. The pizzas here lack sauce and they are extremely conservative with their toppings...which taste like they just came out of a freezer. I've been here about 5 times. Each time it seems like the inmates are running the asylum ... no adult supervision. It's typically a crapshoot how long you might wait on the phone, how long you wait after you arrive, etc. Phone interactions are rude and store interactions are flat. Pizza is so-so. Not going back .. there are much better in the near neighborhood. read more

Got a turkey sub and a steak and cheese. Bread was not fresh. Steak was a generous portion but dry and cheap quality. The bread fell apart very badly by the time we got home (15 minutes top) and the sub had to be eaten with a fork because it was a complete mess. The turkey was decent but nothing great. Not worth close to $20 for two large subs on ether cheap or frozen sub rolls. May try for pizza but never again for subs. read more

Only stopped in driving down the road (of course) - had a small sausage pizza. Definitely exceeded expectations. The minus one star is for the decor. The cheese was fantastic - reminded me of a greek pizza joint I used to go to in the hills of San Mateo California, Rainbow Pizza - runny and chewy, a difficult combination to achieve. Exit 28 Pizza was prettty much an emergency food stop 2 hours into a trip to the Mt. Washington area of NH. It was located in a sort of strip mall right off the highway. It is across the street from a Tourism bureau building...and next to a gas station. My group ordered a large cheese pizza and a meatball sub. The sub was not outstanding, but not bad either...usual size for a sub. The pizza was quite a shocker...the amount of grease on the pizza is beyond description. It looked like the pizza had a 1 inch layer of ice on it that melted. Did I mention it was greasy? Wow...So if you like oil on your pizza this is the place for you. I didn't see them add any extra oil so i believe it was just cheap fatty cheese that yielded the grease. I used 4 napkins per slice to remove the grease and even that wasn't enough. The bathrooms were what you might expect from a divey pizza place...the reminded me of bathrooms i have seen on old harbor cruise boats...damp and dirty. I don't think i would ever go back here..then again it was all we found on quick notice right of Rt 93 in NH read more
