As a born and raised Philadelphian this restaraunt reminds of all cheesesteaks I'v eaten in Philly. If you go here, you'll never visit a Penn Station again. We prefer provolone cheese on our steaks, so you have to request that or you'll get the default American cheese. The only issue I have with the place is there's not a lot of places to sit that we would be comfortable on (they have those high rising chairs that my wife hates, and they only have two booths). If you love authentic cheese steaks then you can half way there at this place. They fly the bread in from Philly but the menu says they use sirloin (instead of ribeye); just like every other place in the Midwest. It's a good sandwich. You can pick your cheese and toppings. We were traveling and just happened to stop in here. My wife found it on yelp. What a hidden gem of a restaurant. It doesn't look fancy the food is top-notch. You will not find a better Philly beef steak sandwich. They actually fresh hand cut french fries as a bonus. The owner was a great dude and hooked us up. I had a really good cheesesteak sandwich and fries at lunch time. The sandwich was delicious. The fries tasted freshly cut. There was extremely limited seating, so we ate in our car. The place seemed dingy and like it is primarily a take-out establishment. As it's a half an hour drive from my house, I probably would not drive there again just to eat in my car. Pretty sure they use Amoroso's bread (IYKYK), which is what makes an authentic Philly. We decided to try out the Taste of Philly this past weekend not knowing what to expect. The restaurant is clean and organized. All of the employees were super friendly and helpful on guiding us through what the best choices would be. When it comes to portions of food. They give you your money's worth of food and you will be stuffed at the end of it. All of the food was amazing. Fresh ingredients, fast service and the most important thing high quality meat. We tried a wide range of food they offered. But the one that stands on top is the Philly cheese steaks. Every bite you take makes you want to go back for more. If I would have to say the only downside that we had with the meal would be the bread on the cheeseburger got soggy really fast from all of the condiments that were put on it. But the taste of the burger itself was still delicious, just like the fries were piping hot and salted perfectly. We will definitely be coming back again to try out some more amazing things on the menu. read more

They do not honor their hours. I arrived 10 minutes before close to grab a sandwhich to find the doors locked. Workers inside almost done cleaning up. They clearly just wanted to leave the minute they closed instead of serving customers. Ridiculous service and terrible management. If they aren't open until 7 then they shouldn't advertise being open until 7. DO NOT make a drive to this place unless you've called ahead to triple check their hours. I'm not sure of all the over the top reviews. I'm sorry to be a downer. The fries were my favorite part. They were pretty good, fresh cut fries and they were hot. They had vinegar to put on too. The inside is really kind of a dive. It didn't come across as very clean and was kind of dingy. The booths seemed sticky when we sat down. We were the only ones there at first. They aren't out to win any prizes for their shop though I don't think. The girl behind the counter was very nice as was the guy on the grill. Both quite helpful with recommendations. The philly sandwich was good and I liked the chewiness of the bun. The cheese tasted like processed white cheese...maybe that's what a philly has on it? The meat was hot and it was made to order. Stopped here on the way home from Logansport. My daughter has been before and said it was good so I went with her suggestion of cheesesteak. Plenty of parking abs easy in and out. Small lil joint but able to hold a few tables. Mostly to go orders being placed and picked up though. Takes awhile to get your order too because it's fresh made so you're guaranteed a fresh hot sandwich. Got our order and it was fairly inexpensive with a good size bun and lots of meat inside it. We were able to get two servings out of each sub. The steak is ok. The entire sandwich is doused with minimal cheese and there aren't any green peppers and barely any onions. I wouldn't call it a cheesesteak at all. At least not the kind of had elsewhere. I had a few bites and wrapped it up again. My daughter ate it a day later. She however loves them. She likes that they're served piping hot and loves the bread which was really good. The bread held its shape under the inside goodies and was able to be a good hand eaten sandwich. Didn't fall apart in your hands and held in any juices The menu has other items as well. And I'm assuming it's all made to order. I Would not return but my daughter def would. We discovered this place during the pandemic since it was recommended by many. We went there many times, and the sandwiches were yummy. However, when places opened up, we were out for a drive and thought we would stop for a sandwich. Once inside, our appetite was gone. The place is filthy. (My husband needed to use the bathroom and it was not pleasant. We could hardly eat any of our lunch after going inside. Will never go close to this place again. Very disappointed. read more

I'm originally from Lancaster, PA. These are legitimate cheese steaks. They bring the rolls in. No offense but younse don't have the wudder to make philly rolls. They also stock deli meats from supplier back east, take some home to make your own sandwiches. Good capicola, salami, even the ham. It is different from what you get here.
