I had zero idea this place was even here! An amazing find and what amazing food. We started off with fresh spring rolls with shrimp and it immediately hit the spot and then came out or entrees Pad Thai and Pad See Ew big enough portion to have some to take some zero complaints about everything we ate here. It's super cute inside and quiet. Service was extremely fast and the staff were very friendly. If you're a fan of Thai tea this place has a really good one we ordered one and I feel like at least one person at every table around us had one. read more

Great thai restaurant in downtown Grass Valley! They are located in the Alpa building on Main Street. I have included pictures of the entire menu. My favorite dish for when i am not very hungry is the Satay Chicken on skewers! It comes with a small cucumber and peanut sauce cups. SO delicious! I also had the sticky rice which was a nice side to go with the chicken. If you are hungry ORDER the lunch specials! Jasmin waited on me and she was sweet and accommodating. All the employees today were very friendly. The inside is decorated nicely with a beautiful brick wall. It smells so good when you walk inside! They serve beer and wine as well. Parking can be a bit of a challenge during peak times. They open at 1130 for lunch. I would recommend making a reservation on the weekends. Dine in or take out. This restaurant is in a really cool older building. The restaurant is nicely decorated, modern and clean. We were seated immediately. Our server was very nice and gave us some great suggestions. Not sure what the entree was but we got it with pork and it was delicious. We ordered it medium spicy and it was tasty but needed the added kick of the spice tray :) We also ordered the fresh spring rolls with tofu. The rolls were nicely packed with fresh ingredients and the two sauces were great (peanut sauce - tasted like it had coconut, and the sweet chili sauce was great). I haven't tried all of things on the menu but everything I've had is delicious. They have the best peanut sauce I've ever tasted and the best Massaman Curry I've ever had. Service was friendly and good. Food was good. Portion sizes were on the lite side. My only beef was that the fresh rolls were highly priced at $13 but the portion size was quite small. Visiting with long-time friends who live in Grass Valley, we were treated to lunch and it was exceptional. They were concerned about it being crowded at noon, but apparently 1 pm is the magic lunchtime for business folks around town - it got busy then! We were seated immediately and brought water and menus. Appetizers were ordered as we continued to try to choose from the wide array of dishes on the menu. Appetizers - wow - one of those would have been a meal for me! But as we shared between four of us, it was just right. We had a sampler as well as satay chicken. Everything was so fresh and cooked to a turn. We shared all of our entrées, which included pad thai with chicken and shrimp, Gai E San (bbq chicken), and ... I forget the rest. I can just say that every bite of every dish I had was excellent. Service was lovely, not overbearing, just attentive enough for me ;) Parking is a challenge, as they do not have their own lot and street parking is difficult at best. We parked in a private lot because our hosts were positive all the business people were gone for the weekend! They didn't get a ticket or towed, so it's all good. I walked into Taste of Thai on the spur of the moment. Ordered asparagus shrimp with brown rice. I was told it would take 10 or 15 minutes, but within five minutes, I was served my item to go. The ambience is sweet and rustic, my server was a delight, and the food was amazingly delicious. The icing on the cake was that I accidentally left without my Yeti cup, and got one block up to my car when one of the other workers chased me down to give it to me. That was so kind and sweet, and I'll definitely be back! read more

This is a nice restaurant in down town Grass Valley. Nice ambiance, and friendly staff. Our waitress was helpful, timely, and courteous. The food came out super quick and tasted quite well. We are vegan, and enjoyed pineapple fried rice with tofu and extra veggies, pad see ew tofu/no egg, eggplant tofu, and yellow curry. Some flavors were lacking a bit, but overall, the tastes were enjoyable all together, and I'm sure we'll be back. Next time, I'll try their Tom Ka soup! read more

After a long exhausting day at Yuba River we were starving . It's been a while since I've had Thai food & most places around the area closed super early for a Saturday . Luckily Taste Of Thai was there to satisfy our cravings. I was impressed with their service. We called to place in our order 10 mins prior to closing and they took it. We ordered pineapple fried rice , pad Thai, pad see ew, parlor pepper shrimp , yellow curry and mango sticky rice . I was really impressed with all the dishes . It was super flavorful and satiated my Thai cravings . My favorite dishes were the pad See ew, pineapple fried rice and the pepper shrimp ! I really loved how they even put in all the hot peppers , & hot sauce to with the food ! The mango sticky rice was phenomenal ! Seriously went above and beyond. They even threw in 2 spring rolls for us which was super sweet ! If you're looking for a satisfying meal look no further. I feel like the quality has gone down. Today we picked one lunch of yellow curry chicken an extra side of white rice and a terrible super sweet mostly cream Thai coffee. The yellow curry sauce was good. But the potatoes were undercooked so they were hard. The chicken was ok. So I mostly ate the white rice with the sauce and onions and peppers. I use to love the tofu pad Thai so if I go back it will solely be for that. This lunch cost me $17. read more

Some of the food is excellent. Some of it is so-so. Service is bad enough I stopped dinning in. I always felt like I was being rushed out, and inconveniencing the server at any request (chop sticks for instance). So I just order pick up. Even pick-up order comes with a side of spicy. I was asked if I needed change on a bill which would have imputed a 28% gratuity on a pick-up order and I couldn't help but notice how irritated that same server seemed to be when I answer, yes. It's now a bit of a game to see what sort of shenanigans the pick-up experience will deliver but a decent meal nonetheless. read more
