On my last visit, I forgot to add the boba and when I tried to add it afterward, they didn't even charge me for the add on. The Avocado Avalanche is so refreshing and a great way to beat the heat wave. The honey boba here is always fresh and soft. I can even feel that it's still warm when I hold the bottom of the drink. Customer service is excellent and they're fast at making the drinks. Despite the long line at times, once I place my order, my drink is usually ready within minutes. read more

Tastea was a huge staple in my high school and college days. Its nice to have it again once in a while. I recently had a little hankering for it while visiting The Hangar in Long Beach. I picked up their Peach Me Sweet Tea and an order of their spicy popcorn chicken. The items came out pretty quickly and all tasted just like how I remembered. My husband and I ordered thru a third party app. We ordered popcorn chicken, sour cream and onion seasoned fries, and a tiger milk tea and added sea foam. The popcorn chicken was delicious. I had great seasoning. The sour cream and onion fries were delicious as well. My husband and I really enjoyed the texture of it - crunch on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The seasoning did seem like a bit much, like it wasn't properly mixed. But over all we enjoyed the taste I think by the time we got our order, the sea foam in my drink had dissolved. But I enjoyed my drink as I got to make adjustments on my drink. I didn't really read the description of what's in the drink so I was surprised with getting the crème brûlée bits as I was drinking it. It brought out the sweetness of the drink. Also I think the brown sugar drizzle dissolved to the bottom as well. So I was constantly storing it to mix it. I can't really rate the service or ambiance since we ordered thru a third party app. But we have been to this location before personally. Beautiful store. Very clean. Lots of options on the menu. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the staff who were so friendly and excellent. I had my service dog with me and they greeted her as well. I ordered their Vietnamese coffee. Service was fast. I took a sip of my VC and although it was smooth, it lacked that strong punch of Vietnamese coffee I'm used to drinking. It tasted water down, which is why I'm only giving this place a four stars. I was so happy to see the pandan was restocked when I visited today to order the pandan milk tea. This has become one of my favorite drinks and I hope it becomes part of their regular menu. I order it with zero added sweetener. It comes with grass jelly , but I like to substitute it with honey boba. Love that without the added sweetener the drink already has a slight sweetness to it. There's no seating inside so it's more of a grab and go kind of place but there's lots of places to sit and hang out in the plaza. They have a pretty good selection of refreshing drinks and service was quick. I ordered the Lychee Peachee and it was really good! The lychee and peach flavors were def there and it was a bit more of the sweeter side. The tea taste was also pretty strong too. Located by the Hangar, down the street from Long Beach Airport, Tastea is my place to go when I want Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken and their Milk teas. I like that their large is 32oz and their boba tends to be consistently prepared. If you ask for their popcorn chicken to be spicy, then you can also expect that it will actually be spicy. This boba tea shop is pretty solid. I remembered the time that this shop doesn't branch out yet around Artesia area. So a location to the tourist spot LBX is a great addition. I've been to this Tastea location a couple of times now and both times I've had a good experience. Staff is friendly, store is clean, and the drinks/food quality is great. This Tastea is located at the Long Beach Exchange, so there's a lot of food/restaurants and shops to browse through with lots of parking available. It can get crowded on weekends or during events but Tastea is always easy to find. This location is fairly small, so there are no tables or chairs to hangout at but it's more of a grab and go kind of place. The Avocado Avalanche Smoothie is amazing, it's exactly what you'd want an avocado smoothie to taste like. The Karate Chicken is okay. It's just regular chicken from a boba shop. The Weak Sauce is sweet chili sauce, it tastes kind of like Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce. I enjoy the Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce so I liked the chicken with the Weak Sauce. The employees are always nice and fast. I downloaded the Tastea app and tell the employees my phone number every time they ask, and I usually get a little bit of discount. The place itself is very clean and small. There's no space for seating inside, but there is seating all over LBX. Let me start by saying the staff was friendly, the interior was clean, and the location was nice, but both the product we got and the price we paid for it was absolutely horrible. My 7-year-old son had been begging for a boba drink for like 24-hours and, while walking the surrounding shops, we saw people exiting this store with boba, so we decided to try it. I asked the clerk at the register (very specifically) what kind of boba drinks they had because my son really wanted a boba drink. The clerk listed the flavors and asked if he wanted caffeine, which was a hard no. After narrowing down options, we settled for strawberries and crème. I'm not a boba drinker and assumed we were good. I also asked for a recommendation for either their chicken bites or calamari. The clerk raved about the calamari and, when he asked about the seasoning, I asked for level 1/ mild so my son could also enjoy it. When I got the drink, we stirred it and didn't see any boba resting at the bottom. I asked the clerk if he added some and he said boba was an additional charge. I was completely stumped, like why didn't be add it to our order when I clearly told him we were ordering a boba drink. He didn't explain the extra fee at the register, which I would have gladly paid to get the drink we wanted. Literally the ENTIRE reason we went there. When the calamari came out, it was sooo bland, like zero seasoning. and it was very chewy like rubber bands. I asked for dipping sauce to try and make it more edible and it was still a struggle, but I was starving. Our snack seemed prepared from frozen and also severely overcooked.
