I've been stopping by Tierra Mia Coffee since they opened ages ago, but I moved away from their location a few years back. Just yesterday, while taking my kiddo for a drive, I realized there's a spot nearby where I now live! I'm obsessed with their horchata frappe--has it gotten even better over the past 20 years? I swear it has. Their tres leches muffin is also absolutely delicious and worth grabbing if they have it--but go early because they tend to sell out by the end of the day, proof of just how good it is. The drive-thru line can get pretty long, but it moves pretty quickly. You can also park and walk inside; the place is spotless and cozy. I need to not cheat on my PCH Tierra Mia. I never go anywhere else except the PCH one. Guess what I did? Visit the one on Carson st. Horrible idea. Short drive through, extends onto Carson st. The wait time was maybe 30 minutes. They were slammed for sure. I ordered my usual horchata matcha. First sip. Milk. Shake, shake, shake. Another sip. Milk with a taste of matcha. It was NOT my horchata matcha that I always get. I was extremely saddened by this. I threw away the drink. I'm going to stick to my pch girl from now on. If I was pregnant I would be throwing the biggest fit. I still did, but imagine. Ugh my craving was not satisfied. If you want to sit inside good luck, that parking lot has like 4 spots and I'm sure the employees use them. Otherwise street parking will be your only option. I love a good coffee. They have some unique Latin flavors here. I got myself the El Cubano drink, which is supposed to be pretty strong. I got it over iced, and it sure was strong, but for some reason it did not wake me up like an iced americano does, but it was still good and decently strong. I also ordered the strawberry tres leches muffin, which was my favorite item, and my wife got her abuelita mocha chocolate frapp, which tastes exactly like an abuelita chocolate just in frappe form, and it was so good, better than my drink. My first time coming here, and I enjoyed it. We don't have one of these in the valley, none that I've seen, so I'm glad I got to try this out while visiting Long Beach. But be warned, this location was packed. The drive-thru line was long, parking sucks, and there is not a lot of street parking. But still worth it, in my opinion. read more

Don't walk, RUN! I used to drive by wondering what the long line at all hours of the day was about. I finally tried Tierra Mia Coffee. It is a quaint spot, but boy they serve up a mean menu. Top to bottom, pastries, to hot beverages, to cool coffees, to the ambience perfect for studying/reading or enjoying you're Sunday puzzles or crafts. This is the place. Favorites: Chocolate Mexicano frappe, chocolate tres leches muffin, churro muffin Limited seating inside, however, their efficient drive-thru enables a smooth experience. Two weeks ago, I went to Tierra Mia, coffee drive-through in Long Beach, for the first time. When I pulled up to the drive-through, the young lady taking the orders was very nice. Once I told her it was my first time she asked me what type of pastries do I normally like and then she made her recommendation. I tried the cheese delight. Delicious and addicting. I've just found another place that I don't need to go to very often because I could eat that cheese danish every day. It was warm, fresh, not overly cheesy, sweet, soft and flaky. Perfection in every bite. I see why it's one of their most popular items and they run out consistently. The danish is just the right size to make you want to eat at least two of them at a time. I didn't go inside, but from the outside everything was clean. The area around the building was swept and clean, which I can appreciate. I will definitely be back, but I need to watch it. I went there for the first time today around 10am. My car was the first car on the street that ready to turn into the drive-thru, meaning, the drive thru itself was full. The line moved pretty slowly for a 10am drive-thru line, however, the person on the intercom was so kind, they didn't ask for tip at the window and my hot Coco Loco coffee and cheese pastry were yummy! I wouldn't come here for coffee on my way to work however I am willing to wait in line to try the rest of the menu. read more

I have been coming to Ti Miah for years, and it is truly my go-to spot whenever I want a good coffee and something sweet. I am obsessed with their horchata latte. It is my regular order, and they are always consistent and never disappoint. I have tried almost all of their pastries, from the tres leches muffin to the cheese roll, and everything has been delicious. My absolute favorite is the tres leches muffin. It is rich, soft, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. The drive-through is on the smaller side, but the location is incredibly convenient, which makes it worth it. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The inside seating area is a bit small, so I would not recommend it as a place to study, but it is perfect for grabbing coffee and a sweet treat to go. Only used the drive-thru since the parking lot and street are under a lot of construction. Ordered a large iced tiramisu latte with breve and a strawberry matcha latte both were delicious. The drive thru line is so long, it backs up onto Carson street. I do not do the drive thru for this reason! I'm not a coffee person, but I opt for the iced tea and lemonade drinks. I think the lemonade could have been a bit sweeter. The same with the pastries; could have been sweeter. Good drink and treat overall, but with the crazy drive-thru situation, I will not be frequenting this coffee shop. read more

Stoped here on my way to the hospital to visit my Mom and it was a life saver. There is always a long line but it goes pretty quick. Just be careful to not block the gas station or intersection. Their food options are tasty. I got my usual guava cheese, warmed. Yummy. I got an iced horchata which today wasn't the best. Just tasted like milk with a slight cinnamon flavor. My coffee order is very simple: almond latte either hot or iced, nothing fancy. This place is known for their Mexican inspired drinks, though. Everything ranging from mazapán to horchata flavors. I can't review anything else but my regular ole coffee and all I can say is that my order has never been messed up, it's always tasty and strong... and the staff is always quick and friendly. I wish they had at least one vegan option for pastries and I'd given them more stars! They do have a variety of sweets though and they all look yummy, just nothing I am able to have myself. I only come here bc they have a drive thru and it's near me, so I've never been inside, but I know that it's a very small space. If you're like me and are coming for the convenience of the drive thru, know that you will more than likely have to wait a while and will probably be stuck in a line that swings out onto the street. I avoid coming during rush hours to avoid any possible traffic jams and accidents, since the line cannot get pretty long in a very busy street. read more

My experience was more good than bad. Unfortunately my drink order was wrong. I asked for a hot Matcha Horchata latte but got an iced one instead. The line was very long and when I got to the window, Sophia gave me a warm greeting and told me my total. She handed me the drinks and asked if I needed any straws. I hadn't been here in years, so I was excited to come back after such a long time. As expected, the line was pretty long, but don't let that discourage you, it moves quickly. I've been hyping this place up to my boyfriend and finally got him to try it. Based on the great reviews, I ordered him the horchata matcha since he's a big fan of both. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. He couldn't really taste the matcha or the horchata. I tried a sip myself and mostly tasted milk with a faint, powdery hint of matcha. A bit disappointing, especially since it was his first experience here. I went with the horchata frappe, which I had tried years ago and loved. Still just as good as I remember, it's definitely my favorite drink here and one I'd highly recommend. We paid $11 for two medium drinks, which is pretty reasonable. This used to be one of my FAVORITE places. We live in Lakewood and often make the trip down this way for Tierra Mia. Two days ago (11/5) in the evening we ordered two drinks. My husband's caramel latte tasted like pure milk. I think maybe they forgot the syrup? Not a super big deal- we thought perhaps we will give it a try another day. Today on 11/7/2024 around 9am we ordered two large salted caramel cold brews with oatmilk and they taste like straight up soap or cleaning product. Always great service. I tried the Lavendar latte and it tastes great. I believe their syrups are homemade which makes a difference for me and the Lavendar tastes great. My husband gets the mocha latte and he loves it! I've gotten drinks both hot and iced and both ways are absolutely great! Drive thru and going in store are both always nice and fast. The is location is fairly small and more of a drive thru. Parking was a bit crazy so we parked on the residential area. They had a small variety of pasties and wish they had more but we did go a bit later. Their drinks were delicious as always and the little seating are they had were very comfy simple but great if you wanna hang for a bit. This location is the cutest! They kept the original donut on top, and looks like a cabin. Very small and cozy. They have a drive thru which is very convenient. It can get busy pretty fast since the area is not too big. The horchata drink is my go to only because I know I can't go wrong with that one. The time I tried getting a different latte, and it wasn't what I expected. I also ordered a matcha drink in the past and it was the worst - it was pretty much watered down milk. Customer service, inside or drive thru, is subpar. In the past, I asked for a honey matcha and they said it was on the menu but they were no longer making it or something like that. Once I stopped by with my family and went inside thinking it was a nice vibe to spend the evening, but I was wrong. I was so embarrassed for the staff giving such a hard time with drinks, not having utensils, and worst, ignoring people standing at the register. All my stars are for the pastries. The tres leches muffin and the churro muffin are delicious. I also like the chocolate croissant. I recommend if you are into sweets drinks. read more

Hate to give a bad review to this spot I've been numerous times but in 2/25/26 around 7 P.M something inhumane happened with my brother at the drive-thru. He has a speech impairment & I let him order knowing people would be mindful of that. Obviously that wasn't the case here. MORE LIKE DESSERT nice little coffee spot in LB. The walls are almost entirely glass so the interior is well lit and cozy for sitting in and drinking a morning coffee. It appears to be primarily drive thru. I like my coffee strong or at least balanced. If your like me your not gonna find it here with their cold brew. I don't like it too sweet. I wanted to try their cold brew drinks but they are all premade. So I asked if they can cut it with more cold brew or if they could leave room so I can adjust the sweetness but I was told that they would have to make it for me. And if I didn't like it I would have to purchase it again because they were not going to waste a drink if I didn't like it. Overall the situation became too complicated for someone that just wanted to taste less sugar so I caved and took as is. But my standard drink was good. I got the horchata cold brew. It was more of a dessert coffee to me. I wish it had more coffee flavor but I still enjoyed it. Maybe next time I'll just get extra shots of espresso in cold brew. "Muchas Gracias" is what I think everytime I sipped this coffee :) This joint is on the corner of Carson and Cherry, use to be a donut spot, so the sign will look like that. At times its a hit and miss on how long the line is, usually it goes fast. You can do the drive thru or go inside, service is friendly. My number 1 go is the Cubano or Horchata coffee. Stopped by for a quick matcha run in the morning, through their drive thru which is super convenient. My friend and I ordered hot matchas and by the time we arrived to the window, we got cold matchas. We clarified with the barista that we asked for hot and she gave us an attitude and rolled her eyes. We were disappointed by the customer service here, as baristas are usually the kindest people. They remade our drinks, but the drinks ended up being room temperature.
