I always bring my own jars and straws for my drinks when I go to boba places to reduce my plastic consumption. Some places don't allow it so when that's the case I'll just go somewhere else. It's nbd. The first time I went I found out outside containers weren't allowed and I came back when I was informed they accepted outside containers. This was fine the first time I came for a drink but the second time I was told this wasn't allowed by the owner. There seems to be a disconnect between the owner and manager in the shop. I was just telling him what I'd been told and he asked condescendingly why I brought my jars and then proceeded to tell me I seemed like I had a "political stance" on it. If there really was some policy change thats ok, I'll take my business elsewhere. His tone was rude and they way he interacted with me was an unprofessional way to handle the situation. I'm so glad this Tastea finally open up after the opening day keep getting push back. I go to CSULB and we don't have many boba places near here and as a big boba drinker myself I'm so glad they finally open up. Now I can get my boba before my classes. The workers here are nice they welcomes you with smiles and Tastea do have many options from their teas, slushy to smoothie. This would be my go to for boba. read more

I always get peach me sweet tea with original boba and aloe vera... original boba vs honey boba is alot different.. they may be the same color but taste differently.. as honey boba is sweet. I love that they open one right in the douglas park which is closer distant from the one in artesia from where I live. They have other dinning spot next door to dine. read more

New location at Long Beach Hangar and it's great except nowhere to sit inside. Not too big an issue except when it's winter and a bit chilly, but otherwise the drinks are good. I wish there was more parking too as it can be quite crowded. read more

I used to like the Avocado smoothie there but recently the taste has changed. It taste more powdery than a fresh avocado. I honestly didn't mine to pay the market price (around 7.50 to almost 9$) per glass of smoothie cuz it used to taste very fresh ( taste like lot of avocado in it). Right now, they just taste powdery like other cheap smoothie place now. It is a shame cuz I've been their customer for almost 5 years now. I don't go there anymore cuz the last three visit, I still got the bad smoothie (no tasty). I think I will ever go there anymore. read more

Oh my gosh!!! Today is my 3rd day in a row ordering from here. I love that they have a huge size! Because every time I order tea, later on I wish I had more. My little sister is so picky about food but the shrimp and chicken had her in love! She kept talking about it all day. So today when I asked if she wanted tea, she said yes from Tastea! The Watermelon Heaven smoothie is as close to perfection as a drink can be. The quality and consistency of the drinks here is phenomenal. The service is hit and miss. Once you manage to place your order it is made quickly and perfectly, but placing your order can be a challenge. Well worth the effort though. It's a battle for best milk tea in town between Tastea and Boba Guys. This place is delicious and consistent. Their classic milk tea is my go to and their honey boba is delicious. I don't do egg pudding or other toppings so I can't comment on those, but their fruit teas are also delicious too. Haven't tried the food yet. read more

I just tried out this location for the first time today after coming home from work. I tried the wintermelon milk tea, and it is still sweet even if you adjust the sweetness level. I was online searching for a tea/boba place around Long Beach. I found this place that was supposedly very good but ended up very dissatisfied. I ordered 3 drinks one unknown a strawberry sensation smoothie and a winter melon drink with boba. When I went back to work I find that the unknown drink has a mosquito inside and I'm half way thru the drink, I was lucky I didn't drink the mosquito that is disgusting! I don't know what kind of place has mosquitoes in their drinks/food items and doesn't notice. That just tells u how careful they are at handling their kitchen! I called the restaurant to let them know about the misfortune situation and no one answer as a matter of fact I called 3 times no answer and after I called the fourth time it went straight to voicemail! What kind of open business doesn't answer 4 calls in a row !???! I'm more pissed about their poor customer service than the mosquito in my drink now! The service here was great! I went in not knowing what to get since I have never been there before and I asked the cashier about a few drinks and settled on the Great White with 25% sweetness. While waiting for my drink, the person who makes the drinks came out to talk to me and suggested that I up the sweetness because any lower than 50% made it taste like water. Knowing that this place opened by the Long Beach Exchange, I knew it would be popular and busy. I wanted to come opening day, and I'm glad I didn't because even long after opening day it was pretty busy. I do enjoy the drinks, but they're really pricey, just like pretty much everything else inside The Hangar. There's also not very much space inside, so lines end up outside.
