    Falafel Platter

My Falafel platter was delicious! Very filling and a great price for the amount of food you receive.

Was I craving platters at the time? No. But do I ever give up an opportunity to eat some chicken over rice slathered in white sauce? Absolutely not. Strolled on in here and ordered chicken over rice with white sauce. It came packaged as lovingly as Halal Guys would at 53rd and 6th. You had some lettuce, yellow rice and chicken doused in white sauce. On top, 2 soft pieces of pita. The rice, nicely seasoned. The white sauce, on point. The chicken however, was a surprise. It had more a curry flavor to it, which I didn't anticipate but it was still good! Just be warned, its not going to taste exactly like Halal Guys but, that may be a good thing for you! Overall, give this place a shot! Especially if you don't wanna schlep your way all the way to Midtown.

Brand new place, and what a welcome addition to Hoboken. I tried the combo platter and added on the olives and cheese (I am in the 50% that likes olives- feel free to skip it). Loved the platter. Wayyyy better than the halal guys in nyc. Made an impulse decision to get some wings as well and that may have been the best decision of the day. The wings are super crispy. I got 1/2 honey garlic and 1/2 mild. Both were amazing. I am generally not a fan of sweet food but loved the honey garlic wings. Give it a shot!

    Very Good chicken platter.

Finally! A quality chicken and rice spot! Its like a tease, being 1 mile from nyc and unable to get a quality down to earth chicken and rice platter that delivers in Hoboken. The spots are either from jersey city that doesn't have a similar take like halal guys, or a super alternative upscale version of chicken and rice at a restaurant. This place is perfect, no frills, but delicious and exactly what you're expecting. So happy to have this addition in hoboken.

Food is ok. Not the best platter I ever had. However, they are open late and provide quick and relatively affordable food. Plus, unlike McDonalds, there are seating available late at night as well. Which I like.

Very friendly service but the food was mediocre. We ordered the Chicken Over Rice Platter. The chicken was dry but the white sauce was very good. We liked that they gave us two extra containers of white sauce and red sauce on the side!

Great seafood, but our server completed disrespected us and our experience…read more We came to Molos for a special occasion, and what should have been a great dinner became extremely uncomfortable because of how our waitress handled her own pricing mistake. She told us the surf & turf was $95, so we asked several questions before ordering because, $95 is a significant amount. We decided to order it and have it split between two people, as well as the lobster pasta for some variety. Since I am the only one who eats lobster, the other person we were with was going to eat the ribeye, making it a perfect dish to split. We were then shocked to see $145 on the bill. When we questioned it, she admitted she had entered a larger portion by mistake. When we asked if anything could be done, instead of simply apologizing, she told us: "next time, you need to tell me you got a bigger portion." We were completely distraught. How were we supposed to know? We had never ordered the dish before and were relying on the description and price she gave us. The situation became even more upsetting when she asked about the lobster, found out it was in our takeout bag, and actually went into our takeout bag to pull it out and question whether we were going to take it home and eat it. We were so uncomfortable that we even told her she could take it back if she wanted, but completely drawing the line as she accused us of not speaking up after her mistake. We felt like we were being blamed and treated as though we had done something wrong, when the mistake was made on HER end. The manager Mike was incredibly kind and immediately corrected the bill. But it looked as if the waitress was trying her best to hide the mistake, and immediately rushed out after the manager saw how offended we felt. Unfortunately, the way we were treated completely overshadowed the meal. Mistakes happen, but making customers feel degraded over a mistake that wasn't theirs is unacceptable. We will not be returning.

Really wish I took photos - therefore just like the great convos with the wonderful, extremely personable and educational counter gentlemen - will be coming back real soon with photos Review: Hudson Kebab House isn't just good--it's memorable. I had the gyro wrap, my wife had the chickpea salad with falafel, and both dishes were so on point they brought me right back to my time in Istanbul. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The wrap was balanced, not greasy, and the falafel had that perfect crisp-to-fluff ratio. But what really stood out? The person behind the counter. Not sure if he's the owner or just part of a family-run operation, but his energy was magnetic. He checked in with us--and with everyone who came through the door--like we were all regulars. Friendly without being overbearing, helpful without the upsell. He made the food taste even better, if that's possible. This spot has soul. It's the kind of place you return to not just because the food is excellent (it is), but because it feels good to be there. I'll be back very soon to try the kebabs, and when I do, expect a full deep dive--possibly with pictures, definitely with passion. 15/10 - must try. Strong BUY, erm, sry, not investing.. He really took care of us. He goes above and beyond and gives great effort. We got the French onion soup to start. Super good. Lovely cheese baked over all the top of the bowl. The flavor is crazy. The broth is amazing. I loved every bite of that. Then we got the pastilla and tajine d'agneau. The pastilla is delectable. A must. It's some of the wildest flavor combinations I've ever experienced. You're eating shredded chicken mixed with cinnamon and white powdered sugar. All within phyllo dough. The tajine is fun to try, but it was just OK. It's kind of like a lamb stew. I will give kudos to a very soft and not too chewy Lamb. The prunes and apricots are such a unique flavor duo with these. Couscous is fun. This meal was a 4 for me but everything else, divine. The music was fun. They a live guitarist and sax player serenaded us. Dim lighting. Such a prime location. Lovely to walk through this neighborhood after you're stuffed.

We started with the Eggplant in Sauce (Shakshuka), which was full of tomato and garlic umami, and just a small bit of capsaicin to get the senses tingling. The Fresh Green Beans, a last-minute add-on, were the perfect healthy and refreshing veggie dish to satisfy on a boiling hot evening. From there, we gorged on perfectly cooked Iskender Kebab, but it was my Ali Nazik (roasted smoked eggplant puree with yoghurt and tender lamb meat, served with fresh bread) that stole the show. If you want meat and potatoes but with an exotic twist--well, this beats steak and mashed potatoes anyday. My only gripe was that they were out of both the Manti and the Aubergine Kebab--my first two picks--when we were there. But I decided to forgive them after my first bite of Ali Nazik. The decor inside feels homey, nostalgic, and thoughtful. They weren't busy at all on a Sunday around 1:30pm so we were seated right away. We started with 1pc Lahmacun which is often called Turkish pizza. It's minced beef, tomatoes, onions, and spices on fresh flatbread. Their flatbread and even the complimentary bread we received before this was to die for! Some of the best bread I've ever had at a Middle Eastern restaurant. It was warm, fresh, and airy. The Lahmacun had delicious flavor and paired well with the vegetables it's served with. 1pc is plenty to share among 2 people. It was now time for the Mixed Grill which was presented beautifully! All the meat was outstanding, tender, juicy, smoky, you name it. I honestly didn't have a favorite because they were all delicious. I love that it's served with both rice and salad with the salad being on both sides of the plate making it even easier to share. This was easily sharable among 2 people and could even stretch out to 3 people if you order other appetizers. We ended with the Finn Sütlac which is a Turkish-style baked rice pudding. It was creamy and lightly sweet but the rice grains were still whole and slightly undercooked which I didn't particularly enjoy. I'm used to them being softer and even smaller in size. Beyti Kebab is easily a 4.5/5; some of the best Turkish food I've had across NY/NJ. Highly recommend!

It went well with the Fattoush Salad (that came with the Mixed Platter). We were 3 people this time and the Mixed Platter for 2 was plenty of food along with all the appetizers we got. The cherry soda was presented beautifully and had a tasty flavor, but there was way too much syrup. It was very sweet. The plate comes simply with rice, a small dish of cucumber tomato salad, your protein and a lime wedge. You also get hummus or a piece of baklava. I chose the hummus that came in a very small ramekin. When I order a mix grill or Persian food, the plate usually looks a little more exciting and robust. This seemed paired down. I could have used a charred onion or a pickled vegetable. The cucumber tomato salad was good, the chicken was moist and the beef was tender. The rice was a little disappointing.
