    Power Pac Supreme
    Dave A.

Came here originally in 1985. Returned in 2024. Had the Power Pac Supreme both times. Same great burger but not as big as 40 years ago when the burger required its own plate and the fries required their own plate. Excellent tots btw. As Alton Brown would say: this place does not betray its DNA. It is your basic old school burger joint diner. Beats any fast food alternative in Redmond offering similar fare.

Wanted to cool off from the hot Oregon summer air. Saw another-cap has some local ice cream served. Got three two scoops: mint chocolate, cappuccino almond fudge, and chocolate peanut butter. Total came out to $11. The ice cream was good, a little soft. Great friendly people too! Not sure how the food was but it was busy at 2 pm on a Saturday so it must be a favorite for locals.

    Fried fish takeout

My husband has been getting us takeout fried fish from Sno-Cap about once every couple of months since we moved to Oregon 5 years ago. I would say that the quality and size of the fish ranges from fair to okay. This past week, he purchased our regular 4 pieces of fish. This time, when we opened the takeout container at home, we saw that ALL of the pieces were less than 1/2 normal size and were very thin. See pictures below comparing two of the pieces to a regular size fork. I'm being generous with the 3 star review here.

Good burger and fries. Went in a Friday night and the place was packed, no place to sit and wait but the food was worth it.

We went during happy hour and got the fresh oysters, the pork belly, the albacore tataki, pork belly sliders, the Cuban, and the burger. So damn good, we were planning our next time back while we were still sitting there. The outside looks like a house so we were super confused at first, but it's a very cute concept, the inside is so quaint and there's a nice outdoor seating area.

We walked in to find a mostly empty restaurant (2 other tables seated). The atmosphere felt more like it was suited for a nice dinner date than a casual lunch but whatever - they're open for lunch. When I asked a friend about it later, he said he and his wife go there for dinner but had never been at lunch time. My buddy ordered the Grinder (essentially an Italian) and I ordered the Beef Sando (essentially their take on a French Dip). My buddy, who self-admittedly doesn't like focaccia, said the bread was awesome and sando in general really good. We both really enjoyed the fries, that were well seasoned in a savory and slightly sweet dusting. The abundance of fries was well appreciated as well. The beef sando was tasty and also a good portion. My only complaint was the thinly shaved beef was laid flat in layers instead of mounded on the sandwich (see pic). I hesitate to even say this, but it felt like I was eating Steak-umm. In general, the meal was good and filling. The service was good and value for price felt good.

The market is nice, decently priced, full of artisan gifts and trinkets, some hygiene supplies if you need them, and great grab and go snacks; a few highlights of the variety of options include Rogue CBD water (hard to find!), Justin's nut butter treats, Honey Mama truffle bars, pints of local ice cream (including one vegan flavor), and Kettle Chips in some of the best flavors! They also sell beer, wine, and cider, if that's your thing. This morning I got coffee elsewhere but had the Broken Top breakfast burrito in a GF wrap in the cafe and it was fabulous. I forgot to take a photo of the burrito until halfway through the other half of this thing but snagged one of the other side. Tomorrow I plan to try the coffee, smoothie, and breakfast sandwich on GF bread and will update! UPDATE: the sandwich and coffee are delicious! Not pictured is the blueberry basil smoothie. I arrived around 11am on a Thursday to find the place absolutely packed with people! As a lone diner, they were able to fit me right in at the counter seating. I'm not a big eater for breakfast, so I was very relieved when they said they could do a half order of biscuits and gravy. Thank goodness! When they brought out the "half order", the singular biscuit was HUGE. And the bowl of gravy was generous. The biscuit was like a giant version of my Southern born grandmother's biscuits, and the gravy was very traditional and tasty. I looked around at my fellow diners' plates, and the portions all seemed incredible, especially for the prices I saw on the menu. The guy waiting the counter was super friendly and fun to chat with, as was another local to my right. This is 100% that local favorite breakfast place, as evidenced by the packed restaurant at 11am on a Thursday. It's down home and real. Nothing fancy, but the food is honest.

They have a number of core staples, plus a bunch of small batch beers you can read about on the chalkboard near the door. The bartender was immediately friendly and welcoming; I said it was my first time there and she told me it's the oldest not-for-profit brewery in Oregon, donating all their post-bill/payroll profits to local charities.
