I was truly blown away by her transparency and her communication so I decided to proceed with her company. It was super easy to coordinate the logistics and itinerary. Not only was the itinerary perfectly curated, but she went above and beyond to make my group feel celebrated and appreciated. She congratulated my group on our accomplishments and even got me a cute "bride" headband to celebrate my recent engagement. Very sweet and thoughtful! In addition, safety is clearly a top priority. The date we chose happened to be an extremely hot day and Jane took initiative to rearrange our itinerary to make sure we could still enjoy the day and keep as cool as possible. Lunch was catered from a local farm to table local business and it was absolutely delicious- definitely make sure you have enough appetite to enjoy it! We also paid extra for a wine and cheese pairing and we are SO glad we did. Some things to consider/ tips: 1. Our day started a little rocky due to inevitable traffic and a wrong turn, but Jane quickly resolved the issue with the driver and we had a great time moving forward. If you have the option to board your shuttle early definitely do it. 2. Time at each winery is pretty limited.. you won't have too much time to take all the photos you'd like AND sit and enjoy your tastings per winery visit.. if you're determined to get a good selection of photos bring your glass with you and do your best to keep up with those just tasting. There were a few moments we felt a bit rushed because we wanted to do both. 3. If music selection on your shuttle is important to you, have the person in charge of tunes arrive to the shuttle early to set up the blue tooth. It was trickier to set up than we aniticpated so there was a good 20 minutes of silence and troubleshooting happening as we were on the road Overall, Jane is a SUPERB host and does everything in her power to make sure you have the best experience. If i wasn't moving soon I'd definitely want to book this experience again!

As well as taking me to places I had visited previously, but this was so much better since she is so knowledgeable about the area. She is fun to hang out with, and very friendly. Julia was amazing about taking photos for me, and asking questions about what I was interested in seeing and doing. And she listened. She gave me many suggestions about other things I might be interested in checking out while I was still in San Diego based on my answers. In fact, I had such a great experience on my private tour that I booked a group tour of San Diego the VERY NEXT DAY. This tour company has such a great assortment of experiences available, you're sure to find the perfect one for you. It's hard to say which of my tours was my favorite, as I had such a great time on both. Julia knows the area, the history of the city, the history of the military, she even taught me about the different types of palm trees and the woman responsible for the variety in the area. If you are looking for a unique experience, book a tour. I'm sure they have other great tour guides as well. But Julia delivered in a way I could not have anticipated. Highly recommend! 10/10

We've visited San Diego several times, but our visits were limited to the particular attraction we were visiting. This bike tour is a wonderful way to see so much of San Diego via bike. The location is easy to find, and parking is easy to find ( there is a huge parking structure next door). We were met by Kevin who was our guide for the tour. Awesome personality with a friendly demeanor. His knowledge of the San Diego area is impressive. He was full of fun facts about the city. The course was delightful and the bikes were easy to ride. I highly recommend this city tour and hope you get Kevin as your guide, you won't be disappointed.

James, gave a brief description on how to operate the Segway and asked for a volunteer...luckily a brave teenager stepped up to the plate and within a minute he was riding around on his own. I felt the fear slowly subside as one by one the others in the group stepped on their Segways and were riding around. It was my turn to step on...I thought my heart was going to beat right out of my chest as the adrenaline was pumping through my system. James was very reassuring and said he wouldn't let go until I was ready. To my surprise, it was very stable, super easy to maneuver and within minutes the entire group (including myself) were pros and we were on our way. The tour was great, lots of information and yes a healthy dose of lame jokes (reminds me of the jungle cruise at Disneyland...I wouldn't change a thing). I'm definitely booking the La Jolla tour next. Totally worth trying and you might even conquer a fear you didn't realize you had.

I found We Love Tourists on Yelp and am so glad I chose to do the Segway tour with them! We had a blast! It was a lot more fun than we expected. We knew we'd look like dorks with helmets on and doing a tour, but really, it was a ton of fun trying to go as fast as we could on the Segways, learning about the city, and even interacting with passersby. We took the San Diego City Loop tour which covers about 12 miles in 2 hours. The tour starts downtown and we made our way up to Balboa Park through Little Italy to the Harbor and back into downtown. After about an hour, we took a break, which was much needed. Even though we're just standing on a Segway the whole time, they are constantly in motion, so you have to make sure that your weight is centered if you don't want to move forward or backward. Our feet hurt the most after the tour, so make sure to wear very comfy shoes with support (tennis shoes). It didn't take long to get used to being on a Segway; after our tour as we were walking to the car, we commented on how much it sucks to walk now compared to being on a Segway! Our tour guide, Bridgette, was awesome. She was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and easy going. Bridgette did a great job in teaching us and we all caught on to how to operate the Segway very quickly. She gave us some tips and even encouraged us to go as fast as we wanted (where it was safe). We did stop at some spots and she gave us info on the buildings and the city. Being a native San Diegan, I actually learned some new things! Since we were focused on team building, I think it was just the right amount of information and allowed us to really move and have fun on the Segways. She didn't have any problems with taking photos for us and also gave us some great happy hour spots to go to after our tour. I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Bridgette! Booking the tour was very easy as well. I sent a text message (as their website suggests) and I got a text response very quickly. We corresponded via text initially, which is what I preferred, so it worked out great for me. I then spoke with Chris, tour booking manager, the week of our tour to confirm everything and received an email confirmation with the details. I got an awesome deal for our tour, just check their website for current deals or ask. I think if I ever do a tour of any city, going by Segway is the way to go! I would definitely recommend We Love Tourists for their Segway tours. You'll have a lot of fun!

Great company leads to a great time!…read more I booked a hot air balloon ride for two about a month in advance for the boy friend's birthday. Carol, who answered the phones every time I called was very helpful. I booked the evening ride so we could watch the sunset, she sent reservation confirmation, explicit directions, and helped me decide on a place to book dinner for later that night (I decided on Firenze it was great). On the day of the flight, everything worked out. We ended up flying with a different company, since Skysurfer was totally booked and had to lease out their patrons, but no matter. They made sure we were connected with the other company, had the directions and were there at the site. The flight itself was amazing. For someone who is a bit height sensitive, it was hard to tell I was off the ground, it was so smooth - and so gorgeous. We watch the sunset and flew near the coast. It was great.

Amazing, spectacular, and totally worth it!…read more When you are looking to celebrate your special occasion in a fun and different way, I totally recommend going on a hot air balloon ride with Sky Surfer Balloon Company. I recently did this for the 1st time to celebrate my birthday with 4 family members and friends. The staff was professional, hardworking, fun, and helpful. We called to reserve our spot about a week ahead of time, and then met at the Vons parking lot in Del Mar where they drove us to the launching site together. It was really cool to see the crew set up the balloons before we boarded and were off. We had a 12-person basket with 10 customers. Thank god they didn't fill us to capacity, because 12 would have been uncomfortably crowded. There are lots of very cool photo opps during set up, as well as during the flight! Our pilot, Phil, had 17 years of experience and was such an awesome pilot! He popped open a couple bottles of champagne mid-flight, took photos of us up in the air, knew everything about the landscape below, and laughed and had a great time with us! Of all the balloons that went up with us (a total of about 6?) he kept us up in the sky the longest, and gave us such an amazingly smooth landing. He really enhanced an already super-cool experience. Sky surfer has been flying balloons in the Del Mar area for 30 years, and advertised the best price I could find - $165 per person. But I was a little disappointed when they added a $10 "fuel charge" at the last minute without disclosing it on the website, or during the phone call when I booked. Ten bucks isn't going to make or break my decision to fly, and so I would have appreciated more up-front information about that. It just made me feel a little duped about the actual price. This is an amazing experience. Book at least 5 days in advance and expect a total of 3 - 4 hours for the whole experience, with about an hour of that actually in flight.
