The best pizza in town! And the prices are the best too. I love their thin crust, the yummy ranch, and the giant cheese block where you can grate your own parm. They have a weekly rotating special where you can get one of their large pizzas for $15!

New Hanscom Park location!! The highly anticipated opening of the third Tasty Pizza has arrived! Located in the former building of much beloved Lo Sole Mio on 32Ave, the new location sticks to the tried and true. Walking in the front door, the bar is now seating for approximately 50 customers on chairs with small tables, plus upholstered bench seating along the wall. The bar itself has been repurposed for restaurant use and the first dining room is for ordering, with a pizza oven kitchen in the back and cases holding salads, drinks, deserts, and frozen pizzas to take home and bake. The salads are the standard ho hum chopped iceberg with two tiny tomatoes but the pizza is the star of the show! Pick up drinks from the coolers as well as salads and desert, then pick a table. Your name will called when the pizza is ready. This time Bookguy and I both ordered 8 inch, 4 piece vegetarian pizzas. His was loaded with mushrooms. Mine had a variety of veggies: pizza sauce, mozzarella, black olives, tomatoes, spinach, onion & mushroom. They looked like works of art with ample toppings and crispy thin crust. Perfection! This location is still a work in progress with the limited seating and the third dining room given over to storage for now. There is outdoor seating, but it isn't in use yet. This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

My favorite pizza place in Omaha!! Tasty pizza has some amazing pizza and it's as adorable a lunch as you can get. Their small pizzas are just perfect for one person (you might even get a slice to save for later). They even have a huge block of Parmesan cheese you can grate yourself for your pizza (and a bunch of other things to top off your pizza with). It doesn't take too long to get your order and the staff is always hustling. I have tried many of the pizzas, the bacon Gouda may be my favorite, but their cheese, meatball, and pesto pizzas are all excellent as well! Great spot for lunch or dinner and they even have a patio as the weather gets warmer.

This place might have the best pizza crust in town. And THAT is the foundation of a great pizza. And they also have a REALLY good pizza sauce. And all the toppings are great too...but there are a lot of pizzerias that have great toppings but don't pay attention to the actual pizza. Tasty Pizza is the real deal. Might be the best pizza in Omaha. I always get a small, this time I got a Combination. All of the ones I have tried have been delicious and they have been PERFECTLY cooked every time. The value is fantastic at about $7 or $8. Lots of space in the sunlit dining area. Highly recommend!

Love some tasty pizza ! Crust is great for dipping in ranch. They have many pies / options to choose from. They only have small 8" of large 16" pies. Prices are very reasonable. If you eat they have a self serve large block of parmesan that you can grate as much as you like for your table. The pepperoni pizza is absolutely delicious as well as the hamburger mushroom pie. Can't go wrong here.

We grabbed takeout last night and our large order was done in 20 mins, order was correct and price is unmatched. Absolutely recommend! Pizza was also good!

Can't believe I haven't reviewed the best pizza in town yet!!! Tasty Pizza has the best personal and large pizzas in Omaha for sure! The ingredients are fresh, the pizzas are always piping hot (even if you order to pickup). The app is easy to use or you can call in for a pickup order, their service is always efficient and quick! It's a very laid back space, you can put your own cheese on your pizza from their giant cheese block, they have an array of drink options you can get from the fridge and they have AMAZING ice cream from a shop in Ohio! The pizzas we got this time were the Buffalo Chicken and the Meatball! So so so so soooooo amazing, I like the buffalo chicken the best but the meatball is a close second. The crust is thin but fluffy at the same time, the meat is always tender and the sauce pairs perfectly! They also have veggie pizza options if you are not a meat person! And keep an eye out for their pizza of the week, where you can get a personal pizza for $6!

Where's the meat? Scattered and scarce. Lots of Garlic. Chewy lasts a long time. Frozen pizza at its best. Not the best value.

MmmMmmm Tasty pizza was just so good! We had to try their bacon Gouda pizza which was perfect. We got the large size. The crust is the tastiest I've ever had. I can't get over the texture. It's just so delicious and perfect! I love try at you can grate your own Parmesan (use the gloves!) lol. That added a bit of extra fun to our meal. We took a slice home as leftovers for lunch the next day. Definitely worth it and something I'd happily recommend! :D

Tasty pizza is my go to pizza place! It's delicious and the people always get you in and out quickly! The place is super cool and I love that they have the big block of Parmesan cheese you can top your pizza with when you dine in! I love the bacon Gouda pizza, but the buffalo and pesto pizzas are also always solid choices. Great place!

It's good pizza. Quick and easy. Prices have doubled in the past few years. Not spectacular but it's good for an easy food option.

FOOD : we got a few orders - but i personally ordered the gluten free pizza with cheese, basil, and banana peppers. It wasn't too greasy which i liked and it had just the right amount of flavor in all the places it needed it. I love that it was straight out of the brick oven and cooked to perfection. I got the gluten free crust because it only had olive oil, whereas the other normal gluten pizzas have a mixture of olive oil oil and soy bean oil. The pizza was light because the crust was thin, but I still prefer the double zero Italian flour over the American flour overall it was a good pizza and I enjoyed it, however, still probably not in my top favorites for omaha! The table at large really enjoyed their pizzas, I think if you just want a quick basic pizza that's good and better than going to a fast food spot, this is a good choice, but if you're looking for high quality ingredients with local sourcing, this isn't it. Alas, it was still really good and we enjoyed our food! SERVICE : it definitely gave a mom and pop feel, we had exceptionally kind Service and really enjoyed the people that we met. They were extremely helpful and made it feel homey! ATMOSPHERE : Very much so a hole in the wall - I'm not going to lie, I was a bit turned off by the ceilings and the cleanliness of the place. I get a little bit freaked out when it comes to atmosphere / food so this was a bit of a downfall for me!

We also got the house salad which was a typical salad Service was super welcoming and pleasant. Their menu is pretty busy but I felt no rush to make my order The vibe is very mom and pop, hole in the wall type of place. Restrooms were in an odd spot, seems like you could get locked out? Without a prop lol Maybe could be a little tidier Overall, would come back when in the area!

Pizza Quest -- Episode 3: Built with Love…read more The campaign continues. Next stop: Piezon's Pizzeria a neighborhood stronghold with a robust menu that offers plenty of choices without feeling overwhelming. For this session, I picked up: One slice of the Oh Mio Dio One slice of the Mahalo with jalapeños The standout of the encounter was the Oh Mio Dio. The combination of fiery chicken and cream cheese landed exactly where I like my pizza builds to be--bringing the perfect balance of heat and coolness in every bite. The Mahalo took a different path. Built with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and cream cheese, it already offers a unique take on a Hawaiian-style pizza. Adding jalapeños gave it just enough kick to complement the sweet and savory flavors without overwhelming them. I can see why it's my wife's favorite. The menu itself deserves credit. There's a lot to choose from, but it never feels complicated. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a first-time visitor, finding your next slice feels straightforward. What stuck with me most, though, was the atmosphere. The walls are filled with stories and adventures drawn by kids, while pizza trays signed by Husker fans cover the space with messages and memories. Everywhere you look, there's evidence that people care about this place and that this place cares about its community. Heart 18 (+4) From children's drawings to signed pizza trays, the entire restaurant feels built on memories, traditions, and community. Wisdom 16 (+3) A menu with plenty of variety that remains easy to navigate and approachable for any adventuring party. Mootz isn't just the best pizza place in Omaha, it's in the running for the best Omaha restaurant…read morePERIOD! I was blown away by every aspect of Mootz. Get ready for a novel of a review! I warned you... The exterior of Mootz is basically the same as all of Countryside Village (which is probably a requirement), but the inside is a different story! The interior is all white and bright, and super clean. They really let the food and service do the talking without needing to dress the place up (which I appreciate!) The star of the show is their Acunto brick oven. It's gigantic, with white tile, and their Mootz name at the top. They had it made in Naples and it was definitely worth doing that for this amazing centerpiece of the space. And the oven is not just for looks, it puts out some of the best pizza I have ever had. I am not usually a fan of pizza crust, and only eat the main "body" of each slice, but at Mootz, even the dough and crust is flavorful and tasty! It has a salty and (super) semi-sweet flavor. It makes each slice all the better. That's just an example of how much they obviously care about the product they are producing. We got to chat with many of the staff, including Mootz himself, his dad, and others, who were all extremely welcoming, kind, and helpful. My husband and I are doing the ABCs of Omaha restaurants we haven't been to yet, and Mootz was our M pick. We didn't plan to tell them that's what we were doing, but when two people are ordering two whole pizzas, there's a little bit of explanation needed - LOL! Once they knew that was what we were doing, they made sure to help us pick the slices to try that they loved best, and based on what we were craving. What's great about Mootz is that you can order just a single slice of a certain flavor, or get a full pie of different flavored slices. Because of this, we were able to try 8 different flavors of pizza! We ordered slices of the Buffalo Chicken, Cheeseburger, Chicken Alfredo, and Jalapeño Oaxaca for one pizza, and then the second pie we did a lot of the normal pizza flavors, so slices of the Cheese, Pepperoni, Supreme, and Margherita. They were ALL fantastic (and I am not exaggerating), but our favorites were the Cheeseburger, Buffalo Chicken, Margherita, and Jalapeño Oaxaca. I'm a cheeseburger girlie and I achingly missed the Cheeseburger Pizza that Pizza Shoppe (RIP) used to have. But no more missing that flavor - the Mootz version is so great, it has satiated that craving! The Buffalo Chicken was BOMB! Not too spicy of a buffalo at all, and the chicken is juicy and flavorful. They make their own Ranch too, and the Buffalo Chicken dipped in that was perfection. (And in mentioning the house made ranch, we also had a side salad that we shared, with that ranch, and it was awesome - very well dressed and with lots of veggies!) The Jalapeño Oaxaca was a fave because I appreciated the heat that the jalapeño gave, and the crema on top giving it a creaminess that counterbalanced the spiciness. The surprise of the day was the Margherita! I normally don't order Margherita pizza just because it's not too full of toppings or flavor usually - but that's not the case at Mootz. The dough being so flavorful works wonderfully with their delicious pizza sauce, basil, and SO much cheese (parm, Romano, mozzarella). It's a lighter slice if you aren't wanting anything too heavy, but that doesn't mean it's not big on flavor! And to round out the meal, they have some awesome desserts too. We tried the tiramisu and the chocolate chip cookies. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert, but my husband on the other hand does not super enjoy it (since he's not a coffee lover). But we BOTH loved the tiramisu at Mootz! It comes in a little cup and it's almost "crumbled" (vs layered, like a normal tiramisu slice), which gives each bite a little bit of each layered flavor. Yum! The chocolate chip cookies were on point too; chewy, sweet, soft, and definitely homemade. We made a great decision to try Mootz for our M restaurant, because it was so dang amazing. I definitely recommend you go here for your next night out, immediately, right now! Do it!

And for a moment, it's flirting with greatness. Almost a perfectly executed Detroit pie... until the crust. That signature Detroit crisp--the caramelized, fried-edge crunch--is just a little undercooked. Not bad, but quickly soggy. Just missing that final snap that makes this style elite.
