I'm a bit disappointed that Tasty pizza has raised their prices over the years but I also understand it given the rising costs of meat in 2020. Tasty Pizza truly lives up to its name. They might even consider updating their name to Not Just Tasty But Very Tasty And Also Incredibly Fairly Priced Pizza. To order, you gawk at the descriptions and photos of their pizzas overhead and then punch in your order on their touchscreen tablet. There aren't options for substitutions but they're honestly not desired because the topping combos already sound perfect (unless you have dietary restrictions of course). And I still can't believe the pizzas are ~$5! The kitchen is small and open, so you can see them preparing the food, which is always a fun and reassuring feature. Our pizzas came up hot and cooked perfectly, with bubbly chewing crust. You know a pizza place rocks when their margherita pizza truly shines... Tasty Pizza nailed the pizza elements of sauce, cheese, and balanced flavor without having to add a bunch of novelty toppings. I also loved their Veggie pizza! Being able grate your own fresh parm from a big ol' wheel made everything even better. Best crust ever! Rarely can an 8inch pizza hold up to beets and goat cheese. These are heavy, savory ingredients and inevitably they can turn the center of the pizza to mush. Not at Tasty. The crust was chewy on the edges with a thin crispy core. I drizzled mine with balsamic glaze. Whoa!! So good and also felt healthy. The tiramisu was delicious and the side salad was a great value and very fresh. This entire meal was cheap! ($12 for two people). They don't accept tips at Tasty, but they should. Don't pass this place up. This hidden gem is honestly the best pizza in town. Don't be fooled into thinking this place won't be up to par based on the small pizza sizes and low prices, because you'll be missing out. Service is friendly, and the ordering system is made easy using an iPad for self-service. The dough is made in house, but can vary depending on your visit as they still don't have an exact measured dough recipe and schedule, which results in small variations in the crust. However, I've never had a crust that wasn't good. They use a special flour here that results in a nice, chewy crust. All pizzas come in personal size, but you can order a large pizza in basic varieties only for about $10. The personal sizes come in several flavors and range in price from about $3.50-$5ish. My favorite has to be the Pesto Bruschetta, which comes with pesto, artichokes, chicken and a few other things. Drizzle a little balsamic glaze from the counter on top and sprinkle some fresh grated Parmesan cheese from the giant cheese wheel for an amazing pizza. Yes, love the sauce, love the dough and the toppings are great. It's a place we go to regularly now, even though it is five miles away. There are plenty of pizza places around but the unique menu, along with fair pricing, means it's my families first choice and also means you can get several different flavors without breaking the bank. The fact it's in a nondescript house in a residential neighborhood might have something to do with my lack of pizza eating here. Also, their lunchtime-only hours. No matter, the pizza here is damn good and cheap! The toppings are fresh, as is the house-made dough. Each personal-sized pie is made-to-order and comes out with perfect crispy thin crust with an excellent doughy crust. And they're all around $5 each! The margherita was simply fantastic, topped with large pieces of fresh basil. I found Tasty Pizza on Yelp whilst looking for a local pizza joint. I was drawn in by the $5 personal pizza's. Although my family is back in California I could see this being an awesome pizzeria the whole family could go to and everyone get the toppings they wanted. The pizza itself is what I would call a football pizza, little to no flop, crispy crust and fresh toppings (maybe a little less greasy then tradtional football pizza). The staff have always been really nice too. There side salads, although basic are good with the dressing they provide you. Overall the price for the pizza is some of the best I have seen anywhere in the country, you can't beat $5-6 for a personal size pizza baked fresh for you. My 2 criticisms about tasty 1. The pepperoni they use could be better. 2. When I have went in they allow dining inside where people without masks are feet away from where you pay. If you are going to allow dining inside you should heavily seperate and space out these people. In the case of Tasty Pizza, you get a really, sorry for the pun, 'tasty pizza' for an affordable price. Thus, I dub thee, Tasty Pizza, 5-stars. Keeping that in mind, the rest of the establishment is great. The restaurant appears to be a converted house right off of Leavenworth. It is at the west end of the Leavenworth business strip, catty corner to the Midtown Lifegate church. By the way, apparently, you can park at the church's parking lot in case Tasty's is full, since there are only a couple spots, if you do not want to park on the street. The conversion was well done. There are several tables available inside, as well as a small patio if you want to enjoy your pizza outside. I ended up getting a buffalo pizza, which put me back $5. It was very good, with a crust that tasted homemade and toppings that were packed with flavor. The gouda was a nice pairing with the buffalo chicken. Thin, crispy crust just the way I like it, generous, fresh toppings, and juicy chicken! Asked for a side of their tomato sauce and it was perfect to dip the crust in. Also got their limoncello dessert ($3.65; funny that it ended up being more than my pizza haha) and that was pretty good as well, but a lot more creamy and less tangy than I was hoping for. 3:1 ratio of the creamy stuff to the soaked sponge cake on the bottom. Love that they have a big block of parmesan for you to grate on along with a bunch of other toppings! I dressed mine up with balsamic glaze, red pepper flakes, black pepper and oregano..mm-mm good. I've always loved personal pan pizzas - maybe because of how well they hold up the toppings or their crispier crust (or most likely because I don't have to share) - and tasty pizza makes one of the best I've ever had. You can not beat this place for quality and price. The personal pizzas are delicious and so incredibly affordable! They have a rotating weekly special that puts an individual pizza at under $5 and for the high quality product they turn out you simply can't find a better pizza for the price in Omaha. In 2004, I had the BEST pizza I'd ever had in my life, while on vacation on Italy's Amalfi Coast. Up on the wall are homemade signs with the pizza offerings. You order yourself through an iPad and pay with a cars scanner. You can pay cash by hand through your waitress, though. The prices are ridiculously low. We got two pizzas, drinks and salad for less than $15. I chose the meatball pizza--wood fired crust, big juicy meatballs and cherry tomatoes that had blistered and split open in the oven. So good. My companion chose a Hawaiian pizza-juicy pineapples, sweet slices of crisp ham, yum! There is a display case with desserts and salads at great prices, too. The staff is friendly and personable. We ordered a pepperoni pizza to share and each had a can of pop. I really enjoyed my Mediterranean pizza. I was really craving something like that and it hit the spot. They even had capers on it! The chicken slaw sandwich was a great size and delicious. When my boyfriend went and got the pepperoni pizza the owner noticed that there was too much oregano, put on by a new worker, and insisted that she would make a new pepperoni pizza even after my boyfriend said that it was okay and we didn't need one.
