I have one word to describe Tata's: PHENOMENAL! Since under new management, Tata's has made a complete 180. There are so many pizza options, it's unbelievable. The chicken and vodka, penne pasta, and mozzarella and vodka are my top 3. But, I've even heard great reviews on their plain and pepperoni slices! If you're ordering a slice with vodka sauce on it, I recommend asking for vodka sauce in a cup on the side. It's extra, but it's sooooooooo worth it! If my body could handle eating their pizza everyday, I would. The only downside is that parking in this area can be very difficult. There are lots of driveways on either side of the road, so make sure you're not blocking any of them if you park. read more

Pizza tastes just like Daniel's, literally the same pizza. That's a good thing tho cuz Daniel's pizza is the best pizza in New Brunswick. If you want good pizza go here or Daniel's. Krispy Pizza at the Yard has yet to give me a slice that was actually crispy lol. This pizza is always thin and crispy. Vodka sauce slices are GOATED. Ordered my usual tonight: a large Margherita pie. When I got it, I was quite surprised at how significantly smaller it has gotten. The price has always gone up a couple of bucks. The pizza here is the best, but I'm not sure if I can justify $25 for a medium-sized pizza. Their store also seems to have really strange hours. One of my favorite pizza places in New Brunswick along with Daniel's Pizzeria. This shop is open till 3am everyday and serves superb, fresh pizza. I ordered Mozzarella stick & penne vodka slices with garlic knots. The mozzarella stick slice is phenomenal and the spoons of vodka sauce on top add extra flavor. The penne vodka is a classic slice and I always get it. The penne pasta is al dente and super tasty. I crave it everyday during work. read more

I lived across the street and ate here nearly everyday for an entire year! Tata's serves some pretty good pizza, but their pasta, sandwiches, cheesesteaks, and other items are just as great. These items are hidden gems at Tata's! I've watched them prep and cook their food through the window every day they open! The most important thing is their workers! They have amazingly real and respectful staff and the main guy, Andy, he the realest one! read more

I ordered a create your own pizza for delivery. I submitted my order at 10:03pm and the pizza did not arrive until 11:25pm. Time was not the issue since the website did say it may take over 1 hour when it's busy. However, I called at 11pm and I was told the driver is on her way. I live 2 blocks away and even walking would not take 25 mins long. When I got the pizza, it was completely cold. I called Tata's to tell them about it and the man said "We're too busy for you" and he hung up on me. I initially thought we just got disconnected so I called back again and he hung up on me for the second time! To me, if a restaurant has horrible services, I will never go back despite of having amazing food. Not to mention, I can't really comment on the food because it's already cold. The cheese was hard as well as the crust. It's my first time receiving pizza and I need to reheat it in the oven myself. I guess if you want to try this place, don't ever do delivery. read more

My friends and I live a half a block from Tatas and it has been our go to spot all year! It isn't the nicest on the outside, but the amazing pizza makes it worth it. A night on the town is never complete without going for a slice. My personal favorite is the penne vodka pizza. Perfect crunchy crust with delicious vodka sauce and nicely cooked pasta. I have also tried the margarita, eggplant parm, chicken parm & chicken vodka pizza, mozzarella stick pizza and the garlic knots. Also very very good!! read more

Thank the Space Pope that this place exist, they have an entire vegan menu! Whole vegan pies, veggie toppings, veggie chicken meatballs or sausage, vegan fat sandwiches, vegan subs - amazing, amazing. They use Teese brand - I'm not the biggest Teese fan but I'm pretty sold with how they cook it on their pizza. Tastes like fresh mozarella. They put the toppings under the cheese which is interesting but delicious. Kind of pricey. But the service is outstanding. Take-out only (no place to sit and eat). Reunited and it feels so good. The fat sandwich was an experience for me and I still think fondly of my first fat bastard. Going vegan, you really treasure guilty pleasure spots that are able to pull off vegan eats minus the organic, local, foodie pomp and trendiness. Vegan doesn't always have to mean green, and there's nothing wrong with indulging some greasy fried comfort foods like the kind that Tata's offers. I can't tell you how excited I was to see vegan fat sandwiches. We got two fat yolo warriors and a Mac attack pizza. Very good, although we really think some kind of ranch sauce would put this food over the top. Other than that though, we destroyed our food in minutes and are anxiously awaiting the next chance we get to come through. Vegan junk food for life. Ta-Ta's, not to be confused with the Ta-Ta's most men have a fascination with, is a small pizzeria (and practically convenience store) located along Hamilton Street in New Brunswick, NJ. The pizzeria doesn't open its doors until around 4:00 pm, but stays open until close to 3:00 am. Being open after the bars in the area close and being right in the center of a major area of off-campus housing makes this establishment fairly popular. My girlfriend and I went to try this pizzeria after a few adult beverages. The pizzeria is located about 100 yards from the house I'm renting with my friends, so we just took a quick walk over. Parking is practically non-existant because of street parking, but this doesn't hurt a majority of the customers who are walking home from the bar anyway. Initially I was concerned that the alcohol I consumed might make the pizza taste better than it actually is, but of course, I turned out to be wrong. The plain slice had too many herbs and spices and lacked flavor in general. The crust is nothing special, nor is the sauce. The BBQ chicken slice had delicious barbecue sauce, but the chicken was dry and I had to practically choke it down. Would not recommend. Overall, I doubt this establishment will be scoring very high in the ranking of New Brunswick pizzeria's for the off campus Rutgers student, though I guess it serves its purpose as a late night snack after a night of making your taste buds not give-a-shit. read more

Tata's is a fantastic establishment. They deliver, they have cool t shirts, and now have an assortment of vegan options (both pizza and fat sandwiches!) For some reason Tata's also has a massive drink selection. I dont know about the other reviews on here, their traditional pizza is quite solid. The vegan pizza and fat sandwiches are killer. My personal recommendation is the hummus and french fry wrap - it sounds boring but it isn't. Also the pita/wrap dough has to be tried. Its soft and fluffy, but trust me it works and tastes real good. Most importantly the people that work there are super nice. Andy is a solid guy! I checked out this restaurant because I have several vegan friends and I would like to find some good places to take them in New Brunswick. This is one of the few places here with a dedicated part of their menu with sandwiches/subs and pizzas. I am not a vegan but I ordered the vegan BBQ chicken sandwich and a vegan pizza. The sandwich was awesome with great texture and flavor and I would recommend to non-vegans. The pizza was good, not sure if it will bump be off of mozzarella anytime soon. What the crazy hell. Pure unadulterated garbage. Clearly only exists as a front to sell cigarettes. They will look at you in utter bafflement if you ask for parmesan. DO NOT WANT. The only thing Tata's really has going for it is its location. If you live down Hamilton St. this is your quickest option. The pizza is sub-par, too greasy and with a weird crust. Most pizza places in NB can top this. If you have to go to Tata's, get a calzone. It was a rainy day and I was hungry. Being vegan, there are not too many options around and I didn't feel like walking all the way to Veganized. I'd heard that Tata's had a vegan menu, and it was right in the neighborhood, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the vegan YOLO warrior fat sandwich and it was delicious! It had (all vegan) chik'n, bacon, French fries, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar. They gave you quite the portion and the sandwich was really filling! I'll definitely be coming back and can't wait to try other vegan options because they sound killer! PS- something small to note- the price on the menu has changed... Shame! We went BBQ chicken pie, which at Ta Ta's is a regular cheese pizza topped with grilled chicken and a swirl of bbq sauce. That is not how you make a BBQ chicken pie! Unfortunately, as much as I really wanted to like it, I was really disappointed by the half plain/half mushroom vegan pizza that I ordered from Tata's. The mushrooms were rubbery and badly cooked, the dough and vegan cheese were were bland and tasteless. I won't becoming back. read more
