Took our jeep in three weeks ago got the Auxiliary battery changed. Fast forward two weeks and the Jeep does the same thing in not starting. My husband called and was told he would have to pay ANOTHER $225 for diagnosing it when they had supposedly fixed it the first time! well my husband said he wouldnt pay again and the tech told him "okay then bye" it was very unprofessional and frustrating! read more

Horrible experience I had with Tate branch from the beginning they were very rude and not helpful through any of the process took a long time to get my car repaired and every time I would try to. Call to get an update I would get a runaround as to why it's not completed it dragged on a month service department was very unprofessional and even the general manager that said she would help didn't help so they got tired of us calling to try to get some kind of information so they finallly called back because we spoke with a corporate manager and said are car was completed got our car and they left things in the trunk area token apart and bolts lying everywhere will never do service with this company again read more

To be clear, this review is for the servicing and lube departments, not the actual car dealers. I bought a brand new 2015 from tate branch for my fiancée and had her return there for its first oil change. We made an appointment over a week in advance and showed up promptly at 8am. The techs waited over half an hour before even pulling her car into the garage despite that at that point they had no other customers. When other customers finally did arrive, they were serviced first. Despite having an appointment and being there WELL before the other people, two other customers got their oil changes (one also got his tires rotated) and left before they were finished with my fiancée's car. She was there for over two hours and when the car was finally done, no one told her. They simply parked it out front and went on about their day. Apart from that, the service staff was rude and dismissive. The lobby was filthy. There was garbage all over the floor and the area around their coffee maker was COVERED in mouse droppings. I don't care what they tell you, or what price break they give you. Unless you want to spent an unreasonable amount of time waiting for a rude staff in a filthy lobby, do not get your vehicle serviced with these people. As a customer, it makes me feel like once they have sold you a vehicle and have your money they don't give a damn about you anymore. read more

I don't like to give negative reviews, but will this time just in case it keeps somebody from being taken advantage of. I'm a Mopar guy, so this is especially grievous for me to narc on them. Tate Branch screwed me on a front end alignment a few years ago, so I wrote them off as a typical dealer. I only went in this time because of a recall, and they're the only dealer nearby. Dealers are infamous for lying and cheating anybody foolish enough to take their vehicle to them for maintenance or repair. Even worse, they will try to cheat EVERYBODY, never even clever enough to look for clues that a particular customer knows enough about cars that their usual scam won't work. I guess they figure "there's a sucker born every minute" so even if they get busted once in a while, they'll still be able to cheat the next 100 suckers and make their dishonest buck. Tate Branch fits that stereotype to a T. They have ex-AutoZone cashiers interfacing with customers at the counter who wouldn't know a brake rotor from a torque converter, but assume everyone else is even more ignorant than they are. I wonder if they even replaced the airbag, honestly. They might have just said they did. But anyway, when supposedly finished with that, three different people (including their so-called mechanic) came out to give me a song-and-dance about how my truck had a serious problem and now wouldn't start. But they would run a diagnostic on it, starting at $135. I wasn't ready to believe my truck just suddenly developed a major problem at the very instant I parked it outside their building. They tried to impress me with a printout of the codes that came up on a scan. But the "check engine" light has been on since I first got the truck, and I pulled codes with my own reader, so knew what it still needed and had plans to fix those minor issues. I convinced them I wasn't going to fall for their scam, and then the mechanic finally admitted that the "major problem" was that he ran the battery down, and it needed a jump. I knew the alternator was putting out like it should, and just confirmed that the day before. And the battery isn't like new, but will probably be adequate for another couple years. I drove it out of there and ran errands for the rest of the day, shutting it off and starting it again over a dozen times with no issue whatsoever--just like every single time BEFORE I took it to Tate Branch. Avoid taking your vehicle to these grifters if you possibly can. read more

My Jeep broke down outside of Carlsbad the Saturday of the Labor day weekend. I called ahead and spoke to the service department asking if they could help. They were very positive. I arrived a couple of hours before the shop closed and "The Wade" jumped right up on the tow truck and immediately started investigating what could be done to get us back on the road. A super effort was made to source a replacement hose and get it installed. Wade stayed a couple of hours past close to get us back on the road! To top it all off the sales staff was cooking burgers and fed my wife and I as we anxiously waited to hear the prognosis on our Jeep. Wow! and Thanks!!!! read more

I've rented cars from these guys a couple of times, and Amber was their rental manager. Very professional and the cheapest rates in town. Only problem is that they said they are no longer renting vehicles due to their insurance carrier no covering it anymore. Very long review but read the whole thing PLEASE before deciding to get ripped off! Cannot say enough bad things about this dealership. The list goes on & on about bad things & their employees. If I could give negative stars, I would. TRUST the reviews on here & why they're all 1 star at this point besides a rating that was over 9 years ago. First, our sales person was Jason Dunn. I called every day just about for 2 weeks. Could never get a hold of him. The one time I finally get him on the phone, I tell him my problems. He asks me what my cell number is, says he wrote it down, and says he will call me back within minutes from his personal cell phone after getting answers to my problems. He NEVER called back. I began calling every hour for a few days. The coward wouldn't answer the phone. So one morning, the receptionist tells me sales people get there about 9. I called at 9 next time. I tell her who I am, that I've been calling for 2 weeks now & it's starting to get annoying that the coward just won't talk to me & take care of my problems like a real good salesperson would. After being on hold for a long time, she says "he's with a customer." So you mean to tell me he's with a customer as soon as he walks in the door? I know she put me on hold a long time because he more than likely told her to come up with an excuse because once again, he's shady & the worst sales person I have ever dealt with. I WILL keep calling until my issues are dealt with. Even went up there couple of times in Person & got no help because he either wasn't there or if I spoke to another employee, they just look at you like they have no brain cells & cant comprehend what you're telling them. They just stare at you with their mouth open & saying "ummmmm I don't know." This place is full of IDIOTS. So I told the receptionist she's gonna find someone who can help me if Jason Dunn won't be a man & help his customer. All he cared about is getting commission from selling us my vehicle. Once he got the sale made, he didn't care about taking care of us after that. Selfish. So a customer relations lady, named Isabel took over. She promised me a full tank of gas & a free "mini detail" to make up for the problems I had. I have had my car over 2 months now & still have not gotten that- I have called her to confront her & she wouldn't answer. So I text her. She still has not come through with her promise. So she is also a liar, just like Jason Dunn. Surprise, surprise. I also asked them not to mail my license plates because our mailing address is currently 11 hours away, that just call me when they're in & I'll come pick them up. Well. They did mail them after I specifically asked her, Jason, AND the receptionist not to mail them. The only reason I found out they mailed them is someone checked our mail back home for us & they were in there. When I confronted Isabel about it, she bold face LIED & said I went in person to pick them up?Wth????That literally makes no sense at all. I would know if I went in person somewhere!!She continued to argue with me over text saying I already picked them up! I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or scream. She is CRAZY.I also sent her a picture of a piece missing that the mechanic did not put back on my tire & she said they'd have it in so I could come get it. That's been 2 weeks ago, never heard from her. She said she'd call me to follow up.NEVER got a call from her either. They LIE to you. The used car manager (tim was his name I think)is RUDE. When I walked into the office, he literally did not get up & greet me or ask if I needed help. Just sat there in his chair. So I had to say um hello I need help & he said "what" with a blank stare. Ok JERK, get off your butt & do your job. I showed him a missing part off my car & he said he'd order it. I went up there about 2 weeks later to parts department. The lady said it was never ordered. Umm so he also LIED. they are all liars who tell you what you want to hear then once you leave they don't give a crap about you. If it wasn't for someone checking our mail back home that could forward me my plates, Isabel would still be feeding me a line of bull saying I went in person to pick up my plates HA. Yeah. Ok. When you're on hold, the automated system talks to you & says "if you have a problem let us know. We can't help if we don't know" but they DO know & won't help. When my husband, bought me my car he was promised gas would be put in it. When I went up there in person to tell them, tim argued with me & said "you only get such & such amount, that's just a rule of thumb around here." Ok I'm from Texas, and they're not as stingy as this place with giving us just a little bit of gas when you first buy the car. That's not even all of the problems I have dealt with from here, but this review is long enough for you to get the point. When I originally bought a vehicle from them, the salesman put pressure on me by telling me "he was about to lose his house". I returned a few months later to sell the vehicle as we didn't like it. They offered me 4k less than I had just paid for it. When I brought that up, I was told something along the lines "Do you think we ripped you off? I take this S*** personally". Bought our Dart from Tate-Branch Artesia in 2014. Included in the deal (which is the reason we bought the car) was lifetime oil changes for $12.95, which is what we have been charged for over 3 years for the service! This morning when my wife brought the car in for servicing, she was told the price would be $55. I contacted the service department and was told they no longer will honor their deal with us because the synthetic oil the Dart HAS to use was too expensive, never mind the original deal they made with us. CAUTION: Take your business elsewhere, this is not an ethical dealership but one that gives car dealerships their bad name. read more

this place rips off good people and there employees are rude and hateful. i spent seven hours there and the salesman ended up taking off they could not find him he took the keys to the car i was supposed to buy and they gave me the run around for a week telling me it was the bank i was waitiing for when in all reality i had been talking to the bank the entire time it was the fact they had already taken my money and could not find the guy who sold me the car with the keys . i could not get any one to call me back and then got a message just come pick back up your money after a whole week waiting for them to supposedly deliver my car . they didnt even call me back just a text message from them still unable to reach anybody or have any one call me back the down payment i put i have not recieved back everyone i talked to told me to not go through tate branch that they were a bunch of crooks and i told them that and they assured me that was not true and that they were good people that was a complete lie the first sales man lied andf not only screwed me over but his employer as well and the second sales man jason in artesia was a complete liar!!!!!!!!!!!!
