Im cane here from Nevada and i thought i would try to place for take out. Well more than likely will not go here again i ordered fish dinner, this fish had no seasoning on it it was very mushy. It was gross. Why another day to give it one more try, i just ordered something small , fried pickles, again no seasoning, but worse part was it was so greasy it was leaking from the bag, i just threw them in the trash, and the oriental guy that took my order barely spoke clear english i had to ask him to repeat himself several times. But hey, the soda was good probably cause they came out a machine. Def will not visit this place again , take something for heart burn before going here. read more

Cravings satisfied! I was in the South for winter vacation and the day I visited Tate Cove Seafood II happened to be a gloomy, rainy day. On rainy days, I crave fried foods (or soups, if it's rainy and cold) and this time, it's specifically fried seafood I was craving but none of the fast food restaurants around where I'm staying has it on their menus. It was a bit of a drive but this was what's recommended to me. I believe this place used to be called "Golden Hooks" (similarly a no-frills seafood spot) but is now named Tate Cove Seafood II under new management. I was at first confused by some of the westernized-Chinese menu items like crab rangoons, egg rolls, and fried rice for a Cajun seafood restaurant but it all made sense to me when I stepped inside and was warmly greeted by a fellow Asian. It was young man around my age who was English-fluent and friendly. Our interaction was smooth both over the phone and in person and made picking up my to-go order very efficient I was indecisive between getting a shrimp poboy (apparently one of their most popular items) and a seafood combo for myself. My dad went for the 1/2 Fish & 1/2 Shrimp Dinner Combo so I ultimately decided to go for a seafood combo as well and got the 1/2 Oyster & 1/2 Shrimp Dinner Combo. I can't speak for the fish and the oysters were just palatable but the shrimp was delightful! The perfect crispiness and taste! I actually ordered from them a second time before coming back to NYC to post this review and the consistency was definitely there. 100% recommend. read more

Ordered online and it still took over an hour longer than they said it would. then they double charged my card AND screwed up the order. gave me the wrong food for half the order and the half that was correct was cold. Wont be going back and certainly wouldn't recommend anyone else does. read more

Food is really good and fresh. Just take to long for the food. So be prepared to wait for awhile, it's best to order before you go.

Great food at a great price. IT IS NOT FAST FOOD! Your food is made to order and does take a few minutes. I'm sure there's other places that are faster, if you don't mind it sitting under a lamp. The fried shrimp, fish, and crawfish are always on point. The staff is always friendly and work hard to get it right. read more

I stopped in here for a late supper on a Wednesday night and was taken care of right away. I like that they offer grilled versions of all the usual fried offerings which is really nice when trying to eat light late at night or on a diet. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp Dinner (12) and it came with a Roll, Side Salad, Mashed Potatoes and Brown Gravy. The Shrimp were cooked perfectly and the lettuce was fresh and crisp and I enjoyed my Mashed Potatoes and Gravy. I would definitely eat here again, but would plan to call my order in at least on the way. read more

Get their grilled fish salad!!! I've also had their chicken wings, and fried shrimp. I've never been disappointed Awesome!

Great onion rings, oysters, gizzards and good alternative to Popeyes& Kentucky fried chicken. Had to ask them to rinse fish and chicken and not put too much spice because some orders too spicy to enjoy. Wish they had a mild and spicy version of each item. Good prices read more

definitely not the place to go if you got other stuff to do or if you on a time schedule. The only plus about this place is the fact the food is freshly cooked, just have to wait 5 - 10 minutes to order the food then another 20 minutes minimum to receive the food. lord help them if competition comes to town. read more
