Went here for a Saturday morning brunch and the place was quite busy. We were a group of six, but managed to find seating luckily and got straight to ordering. Started off some coffees and our order included Grilled Cheese Sandwich and Lamb Kebab Plate. My review is for the Cheese Sandwich which was just ok. Even after having three different cheeses and roasted garlic, the sandwich lacked flavor and the only flavor I could taste was the rather delicious Sourdough Bread. The place is all self-serve and food arrived within 20 minutes of ordering.

Ok this one is simple. Take a great pastry, hot tasty coffee and wonderful service and roll them up in a happening location just off the famous Lexington Green, and you have Tatte. We ate inside because all the outside tables were taken, it was a bit noisy but that was only because it was constantly busy (good noise).

Normally I frequent the tatted at the Belmont location and for the most part the food is pretty similar and pretty decent. The part that irks me about the Lexington location is they don't toast their bread completely. I don't mean half way on all sides, I mean at least one side of your bread (if you're lucky) will be toasted. This isn't the first this this has happened. Once before only one side of one slice of bread was toasted with my lamb meatball shakshuka and I mentioned this to the server as a heads up. Apparently the notice was not heard.

    Basic egg sandwich - yummy!

This is an enjoyable cafe with lots of breakfast foods and lunch options. Love the egg sandwich on grilled sourdough which is so tasty. Their sandwiches can be a bit skimpy on the fillings so be pushy and ask for what you pay for. Skip the coffee which is average and go to Pete's down the block. Enjoy!

Tatte is a real gem. This little cafe fits right in with the quaintness and charm of Lexington. The breakfast is outstanding along with their unique beverage choices and baked goods. I end up spending and eating way too much when I come, as it's hard to pass up a coffee and pastry after eating their out of this world quiche. The lines can be a little long, but that's to be expected at Tatte.

This location of Tatte is as great as the rest! Definitely quieter which is nice. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They were out of the Pistachio Lattes but the Barista suggested we try the Black Sesame Latte and it was DELICIOUS! I typically order food from the menu but this time tried 4 pastries and they were all such high quality. The atmosphere was relax and clean. Highly recommend!

Delicious. A touch pricey as you might imagine in Lexington from a high end shop , but it's worth the price , even though they got my order wrong . I was going to dock a star for the mixup , but 1) they comp'd the screwup , 2) the wrong sandwich was also delicious 3) they treated the customer right immediately and without argument . Even their drip coffee was great. This is worth the premium

Delightful breakfast cafe in charming Lexington town. Newly opened, bustling busy on a Friday morning, great addition to brighten up the breakfast scene. Highly recommend the Shakshukas. The lamb meatball shakshuka $15 is served with challah bread that goes delightfully with tomato bell pepper sauce, eggs and lamb meatballs. Lamb hash $15 is cooked in warm spices sautéed with potatoes, sweet potatoes carrots and a poached egg, pretty good, but can't beat the Shakshuka's satisfying warm goodness on a cool winter day. Cappuccino with rich balanced notes tops off a lovely breakfast.

Staff was nice. Some desserts are ok. Coffee was cold. So unbelievably loud that it hurt my ears.

Sesame latte was great, but food was overly saucy with too many capers and not that great.

I got inspired by watching youtube to make a jambon buerre sandwich - supposedly a popular quick sandwich for Parisians. The sandwich is half a baguette with butter and French bistro ham. I tried searching all over for the French bistro ham with no luck. The only options were online sources with expensive shipping and/or expensive minimum order sizes. Somehow I stumbled upon MA-France nearby in Arlington and they sell jambon-buerre sandwiches. It's a small shop that sells sandwiches, pastries, and a small offering of French food products. Lots of pastries and baked goods like quiche, tarts, cookies, croissants, etc. The cheese offerings were very limited and basic. I can imagine that the cheeses that they sell are the same types and brands that they use for making sandwiches. For example, they sell President brand Brie - that you can also buy at Costco and market basket. Disappointing, but understandable because they can't afford to buy more variety and more expensive offerings without a big enough client base to buy those cheeses before they go bad. Getting back to the sandwich - it was half a baguette with some thick slices of butter and two pieces of French bistro ham. The bread was kind of dense and the crust was more chewy than crispy. I was disappointed that they didn't bother to spread the butter, but if they're not selling enough sandwiches then they're probably keeping the butter in the refrigerator - making it too difficult to spread. When I got home I fixed up the sandwich to my liking. Overall, the sandwich was okay, but not good enough to make me want to go back. At least I was able to solve my hunger for the jambon buerre sandwich.

Now it's quite underwhelming. The apricot croissant is now some smaller glorified danish that has no richness or personality. The plain croissant is quite "bready" now, whereas it used to be light and buttery. I have a sneaking suspicion that they have a different croissant supplier now. What saved this spot from a lower grade is that the pain au raisin and chausson aux pommes are passable. Also a save is that they still offer various French products, from soaps to cheeses to canned goods. I have to find a new French bakery in the area.

I stopped in on a Saturday, and even though I could tell she was busily putting orders together, Mirette took the time to talk to me about what my daughter wanted and let me know the options available. She was very accommodating, friendly, and kind, and I always like to support local businesses. So I went home and ordered the cake right away, along with some cupcakes (including GF!). The cake and cupcakes turned out beautifully and my daughter was SO excited when she saw her unicorn cake. The kids all loved it, and there were many compliments from the adults at the party too. Overall the cake was a huge hit- looked amazing and tasted incredible! Will definitely be ordering more from Cake Niche in the future!

Service was friendly when I picked up my cake. The bakery is small, but cute!
