Came back again with friends and enjoyed my omelette a lot! The loukaniko sausage was super yummy and the service was as good as ever. Still cash only with tax already accounted for!

    Busy behind the counter.

The cash register is from the 1940's..... so what! It works. If you are looking for a diner, look no further, you have found it. This place bustles with activity and the reasons for that are deliciousness! A word of caution and insight for chocolate lovers..... you can order EXTRA chocolate chips on your chocolate chip and banana pancakes (so sinfully good). Now if you like Nutella, order the Nutella French Toast. Oh my they are way above expectation. The place is a gem. Do not miss it. The atmosphere is rowdy and fun.

This establishment only accepts cash. The service and ambiance are good. I had the Wilson's special. I will say that the food isn't bad. It's just alright. Basically, nothing to write to home about. Nothing stands out. I also don't think this meal was worth $17 i.e. not a good bang for your buck.

Cash only! The diner is super cute and very clean/maintained inside. I visited at the end of the summer and they had the doors open, didn't have AC. It was a little warm but not terrible. The staff is friendly, food came out quickly and came out quickly. There is a little parking area with a few spaces next to the diner. Otherwise there is street parking.

If you want a classic diner experience, this as best as you can get. Located on Main Street in Waltham, a small trailer with lots of bar seating and a few booths. 50s themed which is cool. In all honesty, it's not the cleanest, but that's as expected. The food is decent, I liked the ham and cheese omelette. Coffee was so-so.

It's the worst service I've ever received and saying it from my experience as a waitress... we didn't know they closed at 2 in the afternoon we arrived at 1:20 pm, they didn't even let us see the menu when we sat down (it was our first time)... When the waitress approached the table 2 seconds after we sat down, she said that we could eat but that they closed at 2.... I think that instead of rushing new customers they should better close at 1:30 or inform before sitting down. Too rude and a fatal experience

Yes another diner from the king. I was informed that the booths fill up with multiple people so I sat at the counter. The owner greeted me at the door. The cook came over and reviewed the menu with me. How is that for service? I ending up getting a couple poached eggs and fruit cup. The fruit cup was delicious. It had fresh blueberries, strawberries and banana. I am trying to stay away from the carbs. No toast or hash browns for me. I was sitting at the counter when there was an ordered decaf coffee. The waitress made a cup of decaf using instant coffee. I could not believe it. So much for a fresh brewed cup of coffee. I had to knock down the rating down from 5 stars to four because of this. I would return for breakfast. I just would not order decaf.

Quick, delicious, friendly. Great ambience. Classic old school diner experience that's very hard to find today.

Our favorite place to sit is at the counter because it's incredible to watch them work so perfectly together. We have a great time every time we're here. My #1 tip: always get a grilled muffin. Tip #2: ask for the home fries well done. You can't go wrong with anything here! I'm a sucker for an omelet but today I spotted someone get a club sandwich and I will absolutely need to try that. The service is impeccable. They are cash only but I'm pretty sure they have an ATM in the corner! A must visit.

    Homemade corn muffin. Tasty!

I visited this MA diner due to the great reviews. I am so glad I listened to yelp. Nice sized lot for the busy part of town. The staff was VERY friendly that I wished I lived closer. The retro vibe was so inviting. Food was tasty. The corn muffins were fresh. They were so good that I took one to go. I'll be back

Wilson's Diner is an amazing establishment! There isn't dedicated parking so you'll have to find street parking so it may be a challenge to find something good. The staff are extremely busy, but they do not forget about you! The team works together so well I couldn't tell you who was our actual server. Truly a phenomenal staff and you can tell they really care about working with excellence. The food felt homemade and they had some unique choices on their menu which is large menu! I ordered the Eggs Benedict & Texas Crunch French Toast, both were delicious & wonderful. The restaurant feels like an old diner, and is clean and well kept. They have an old cash register that is so cool to see in action. Overall I would highly recommend give this space a visit!

Since she can no longer drive, we wanted to make the day special for her. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. When we arrived around 2:30 PM, the restaurant was nearly empty, yet we waited quite a while just to be acknowledged. The hostess then attempted to seat us practically on top of another table, directly within earshot of the server station, despite the dining room being mostly empty. To make matters worse, it was the only table with mismatched chairs. She offered a couple other tables that also didn't work, then had us stand there another seven minutes waiting for a manager to reset a different table while she simply stood by doing nothing. Because it was a holiday, they were serving the dinner menu all day. Totally understandable -- staffing on holidays is hard, and I had no issue paying dinner prices during lunch hours. The problem was the level of service absolutely did not match the pricing or reputation. Once seated, service moved painfully slow. It took forever just to place a drink order, let alone actually receive drinks. Our waitress never asked if we wanted appetizers, which we did, so we ended up ordering everything together. My mom mentioned multiple times that it was her birthday, including when drinks were ordered, yet there was zero acknowledgment from the restaurant afterward. We also had to ask for bread. Again, if it were lunch service, fine -- but we were paying full dinner pricing, and bread service should have been automatic. The appetizers were decent, but after that, service completely disappeared. No one checked on drink refills, and our entrees arrived while my father and I had completely empty glasses. Beverage refills should have been offered before entrees hit the table, not after guests are already eating dry meals. By the time my replacement drink arrived, I had finished my meal. Food itself was mediocre at best: * I ordered lamb medium rare and it arrived medium/well. * No steak knife was provided. * No horseradish accompanied the lamb until I specifically asked. * My husband and mother ordered the surf & turf with lobster pie and tips, and the lobster pie came out visibly burnt. Everyone was hungry, so we ate it, but nothing about the meal justified a nearly $250 bill for four people at lunch. The most frustrating part? There was no management presence whatsoever. No table touches, no check-ins, no acknowledgment of my mother's birthday. The manager spent most of the time standing off in the corner while servers chatted loudly in the server station about coworkers and guests -- exactly why people don't want to sit near server areas in the first place. This restaurant clearly survives on nostalgia and reputation, which is exactly why this visit was so disappointing. I wanted my mom to relive happy memories on her birthday. Instead, we left feeling ignored and underwhelmed

Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I ordered an Old-Fashioned and my companion a glass of chardonnay, both of which came promptly and were enjoyable. After some inquiries I settled on the self-advertised fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs. My companion asked about a favorite no longer on the menu, a salad with grilled chicken, and after checking with the kitchen our server was happy to report it could be ordered. My companion asked for dressing on the side and unfortunatel the salad came out dressed. Our server was happy to return it to the kitchen and it came out after not too much time had elapsed, the way she'd ordered it. I'm always skeptical that ribs will be fall-off-the-bone but these were close. Unfortunately, they seemed a little off; I still can't decide if they were on the dry side, lacking in flavor, or both. But the meat did come off the bone easily, so there was that. They came with french fries which were good, The location is handy and there is on-site parking. The atmosphere was energetic and it must be a popular after-work place because there were several large (10+) tables occupied. Still, not sure I would go back soon when there are other comparable places in the area.
