Staff: Lupe, my artist, was perfectly responsive, open to ideas and changes, downpayment was easy to make (venmo for me but other options available). My tattoo artist, Rachel was a vibe. Super calm, methodical and patient as I wanted to increase the size of the tattoo after the first stencil placement was down. Very supportive in the decision to redo and wanted me to feel comfortable with the design size and placement. She is such a gem. Would recommend for tight lines, shading, floral work and script. Shouts out. Safety: gloves were worn at all times by the artist, spray bottles were bagged appropriately, ink was dispensed appropriately into small containers and lubricating gels on to single use wooden sticks, steel tray for all supplies was covered in a plastic barrier. Lidded garbages were used. Saran wrap used for a 3 hour barrier after completion and A&D appointment was provided for aftercare. Artist confirmed Blood Borne Pathogen training was taken annually. Environment: inviting, positive, relaxing, chill, clean, well lit, supportive, easy going. Overall: great experience and I'm glad my trust landed in the hands of this shop for a one off tattoo. Price was right. $280 for 2 hrs of needlework not to mention the predesign and communication over text up until I was in the chair. I contacted the shop 26 hrs prior to tattoo design, downpayment, redesign and then sitting in the chair to get a badass tattoo. These people are professional and serious with their art and image. (It's an oleander flower that causes your heart to stop from acute exposure to toxic cardiac glycosides :D yay for poisonous plants!)

We had no trouble finding a few gifts and had to stop ourselves from buying more for ourselves. My friend has gotten a few tattoos here and highly recommended it. They even did a recent flash sale where people could get Hawaiian tattoos and all of the proceeds went to support the individuals impacted by the Maui fires. I love supporting a business that makes time and space for philanthropic causes. The staff here was incredibly warm and welcoming during my visit, and you can tell they really enjoy what they do and are very engaged with their customers. I went to them for the last friday the 13th and the process was a little confusing and very long (as is expected) but ultimately I got a lovely tattoo at a discounted rate and only had to sit on the floor for a couple of hours. Yesterday I went back to them for another friday the 13th... the positives: - check in was smooth - they upgraded their waiting process so you could leave the shop - flash sheets were nicely organized when you arrived to the shop the negatives: -Flash was not posted at the start of ticket sales -Entirety of flash was not available on their instagram or eventbrite (where they sell tickets for the event) -flash pricing tiers were not communicated clearly online -texting service was NOT utilized to provide any helpful communication all in all this will be my LAST friday the 13th with atlanta ink. We arrived in shop at 8:15 to check in for our 8pm-12am ticket slot. We returned to the shop at 11:45 after hearing nothing to be informed they'd be closing the shop at 12am and that we could come back anytime during the month to receive our tattoos. I respect them allowing their artists to rest, but incredibly frustrating that this was not communicated any sooner. I spoke to someone who checked in at 7:45 and was also not tattooed for the same slot. texted communication about the store closing at midnight was sent out at 12:23. No apology was made either. Beyond upset that a system promised to notify us of our slot 30-45 minutes in advance couldn't be any quicker with reaching out about being oversold on a capped ticketed event. they kept my money so i'll be going to get my tattoo sometime this month but after that, i'll be seeking better businesses to support.

Anywho I originally frequented the Columbia, SC location but have since moved to Atlanta and figured the same professionalism and quality would be here as well and I was right. Don't remember his name I'm horrible with names but never forget a face. Older black man with locs deep warm voice like a dad lol. But he was great. I got a double nose piercing; two on my right nostril and he made the process fast and held conversation to take my mind off him basically stabbing me in the nose twice lol. I love the placement of them being side to side and he used this measuring tool to check his spacing. I was in and out of there in under 20 mins with paperwork, getting my license copied, paying, picking jewelry, piercing, and the aftercare talk. Clean studio, smells of incense not smoke like a previous review I saw stated. I came in on a Tuesday they do half off select piercings. Picked out two little studs 2 for $40 but if you want the basic traditional studs it's 2 for $20. All in all I'm highly satisfied with how I was serviced and I'll be back when I heal up to possibly change to a hoop. Or get a new piercing. Parking isn't the best. It's just a driveway bc this used to be a house. They could definitely use better parking as the main road is hella busy I had to turn my hazard lights on as I moved my car to let someone out who was there before me.
