A friend of mine had gotten inked here before, so when I was visiting we spur-of-the-moment decided to go back and walk in to see if we could get another, since she had enjoyed her first experience so much. That's also nice- you can walk in a lot of days here and get tattooed. Since covid that can be hit or miss to come by, and having to set an appointment can be such a pain. So, we walked in and they told us (3 of us wanting to get tatted, by the way) to come back in an hour and they'd squeeze us in, and that's exactly what they did. We all got tattooed by 3 different artists, and it was such a fun time. Everyone in the shop is super laid back and just enjoying the vibes and you could feel it. Mitch worked on my tattoo, and he drew up such a beautiful design I couldn't even believe it, but it was the truth. He was so good at listening to what I wanted and making it come to life, even with just a walk-in, smaller scale tat. I really enjoyed Mitch, he was funny and so charismatic and made the entire experience that much better. One bad thing about the Truth is that they are pretty terrible at answering the phone, so if you call don't expect someone to pick up. You have to find their Google Doc sheet to send a request for an appointment and that's your best bet to get set up there if you don't go in person. We really loved our visit to the Truth Tattoos, and truthfully we will most likely be back at some point because we can't lie and say we didn't cherish our time and now forever inked skin, that's the facts.

When I went to The Truth Tattoos, I was greeted right away, multiple artists stepped up to see what my vision was and quoted me an amazing price. Lex was my artist, and she was seriously the best --super chill, confident, and nailed my vision on the first sketch. I even let her freehand some parts, that's how much I trusted her. Basically, over the night my gem stone ended up in my ear between the holes. Go figure. I contact Anchor's End Tattoo in Hudson. Told them about the issue. They let me know the piercer in Hudson was not in and to look into the River Falls or Stillwater shop. I opted for River Falls. I made the appointment and explained the weird issue. I went in at my appointed time and the piercer was all ready for me. Sorry, really bad with names. I told her what happened. Thankful she had experience with this kind of thing. I also told her if she couldn't fix it, I would head over to "urgent care". She was a complete delight. So nice and kind. She looked at it and was able to get the gem out of there and replaced my earrings with a larger crystal and a longer stem to account for the swelling I was experiencing. Honestly, I cannot say enough nice things about her. This was my 2nd experience there and honestly both were just as wonderful. I really appreciated her getting me in to get this resolved. I decided to get a last minute nose piercing as well, which Mandi was happy to accommodate. The piercing room is small so Mandi requested that my husband and toddler hang out in the shop while we get the piercings done. We walked into the piercing room and my daughter was immediately in awe of all the unicorn posters and art all over the room. My daughter just happened to be wearing a unicorn dress. Mandi also had Disney music playing in the background. I'm not sure if that's her standard day-to-day selection, but I assumed she put it on for my daughter, which I thought was a really nice touch. Mandi is warm and professional. My nose piercing went off without a hitch. When it came time to pierce my daughter's ears, Mandi and her assistant were patient and encouraging. My daughter was excited but also scared. Mandi took her time to make sure that the holes in each ear were perfectly aligned before doing the actual piercing. My daughter cried when the first ear got pierced, but Mandi was super positive and let my daughter know what a great job she did. After a few tears and a hug, my daughter was ready for the other ear, which she cried again when the needle went in, but she did a great job staying still. Mandi was super complimentary and gave my daughter a handful of unicorn stickers. When we walked back into the main studio my toddler was excited because one of the tattoo artists had given her some really cool temporary tattoos, which she loved.

The first time, I had my husband's name tatted on my inner wrist. (Yes, he also got my name on his wrist. We've been together 20+ years so we figured by now, we are safe from suffering the "Getting lover's name tattoo and promptly breaking up" curse.) I knew from that first tattoo that it wouldn't be my last. As Hung said, "you'll be back more". My husband is also thinking of his second one. I lost a beloved pet last year in the most devastating and traumatic way. I have been thinking of how to honor him (and our other kitties) to show my gratitude for their lives spent at my side. I decided on one that I knew I would be happy carrying for life and that would embody the feelings that I feel. I'm happy that I waited until now, because tattoos are so personal and mine hold such meanings to me. Hung delivered again. To begin with, I want to say that this is one experience out of many, and not all the artists at…read morethis establishment are bad. My wife went in for a tattoo to commemorate her grandmother, who passed away earlier this year. The tattoo was a simple needlepoint design, and all of the specifics were worked out ahead of time. My wife got the tattoo, and was initially thrilled. After the bandage came off, she examined it a bit more closely, only to discover that the pattern, which is based on symmetry, was nonsymmetrical in places. All of the areas on the tattoo were supposed to be the exact same thing, yet some shapes were blatantly out of line, and some of the figures were reversed. Yet, this isn't the worst of it. My wife tried to contact the business to get her concerns rectified, and was met with absolutely NO RESPONSE. Her message to the establishment was viewed on Facebook Messenger, but no reply was given either by the artist or a representative of the business. She tried over the course of two days to contact someone from the business, but to no avail. She even went to the place, saw that the "open" sign was on, but the doors were locked. She waited outside for a half hour, yet nobody seemed to be home. She told me later on that she felt like a fool. Like I said initially, this is one situation out of many that have happened, and while there may have been some good experiences, and some bad ones, the fact that decides whether or not we go back to an establishment is whether or not the business is willing to be accountable for and willing to correct their mistakes. So, in conclusion, we will not be going back to Good Times Tattoo. It most certainly is not a good time in hindsight, especially when getting a tattoo to commemorate a wonderful woman that sadly, has passed. I urge you to be careful when selecting this establishment, and to thoroughly research the artist before entering their doors.
