    House made chips and dip

This was my first time eating at Tavern 180. Service was great. We went and sat on the patio for a Friday lunch. Of everything we ordered the french dip was the best, absolutely fantastic. Chips and dip was pretty good - would probably order again but wish the chips were more crisp. The grilled chicken club was also really good - on ty would have been better with fresher lettuce and tomato. Brussels sprouts I wanted to love but they had some kind of glaze on them that was just overpowering. Overall great experience and good food. We will definitely come back.

SYDNEY J was the best waitress I have ever had! you deserve a bonus -- 6/5 for sure! Tavern 180 is great for all meals and all occasions. One of the best restaurants in Sioux Falls -- service is great, food is incredible, drinks are delicious, and prices are right. Highly recommend!

Tavern 180 never disappoints. We were celebrating 2 birthdays, so we shared the ahi tuna nachos & shrimp cocktail apps & their delicious burger & side of Brussels sprouts. Birthday desert was complimentary! Our waitress was great! I left full & content. I even brought home a quarter of my burger. I recommend getting there early. We were seated immediately but by the time we left, people were waiting to be seated.

I tried this place out a year ago but when I heard it was under new management I decided to give it another shot. When we walked in for brunch we were seated immediately but it took about 10 minutes until we were actually greeted by our server. The menu was small and adventurous which wasn't a problem for me but others in my party struggled with it. When we finally received our food it was good but definitely not the best. I definitely would not recommend it to someone who is looking for a delicious brunch.

Wow. Had an absolutely perfect birthday dinner tonight with two friends. First time visiting and happened to come during happy hour. The apps we had wanted to try were on the list for $3 off. Service was outstanding, our friends drinking soda and water never got below half a glass before a new glass was whisked in its place. Great recommendations from the server as well. My wagyu hanging tenderloin market price was $45 today but I had actually expected to pay more. The level of tenderness and flavors was just outstanding. Best steak I have had in years! Was cooked to a true medium rare as requested. Very much enjoyed the jalapeño bacon brussels sprouts as well. Lightly charred with what I think was some of the bacon fat drizzled on top that came together quite well. Had a bite of my wife's parmesan crusted chicken that was top notch as well. Place was very stylish and comfortable, wall of bottles on the bar was very impressive as well. If you have a guest that wanted a certain top shelf liquor they wouldn't be left wanting. A very high quality restaurant with some more premium options available but surprisingly some of their signature cocktails were 3-5 dollars less than I would expect to pay downtown so there is a balance. My blood orange margarita was very tasty. I will definitely be back.

Such a great place! Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal and the entire staff chipped in to help when needed. I had the salmon and it was so good and cooked exactly how I asked. The atmosphere was "up scale" but didn't need to be dressed that way and everyone was welcomed. Highly recommend this place!

My wife and I were here for our anniversary lunch dinner and it was absolutely amazing! I had the blue wagyu burger and my wife had the chicken and we both loved it! There was a nice dark hair waitress that was dealing with an angry Karen in which she stayed calm and finished out her duty. My wife and I apologize you handed it very well!

Dined here with friends recently. Service was fine, not overly friendly, not terrible or rude or anything. Food service was a little slow in my opinion, but our meals were good. We got burgers and a chicken dish. My favorite was the baked potato, it was crispy and loaded with toppings. I will come back to try it again, not my favorite spot in town, but a good option to mix it it up.

A typical public house. The service we had was very good. I had the buffalo wings and they were…read morevery good. I did try the "stupid hot sauce" and it is very hot. I wasn't a fan of the flavor but am glad the server let me try the sauce before ordering. The bar has lots of TVs so sports are covered. The noise level is low enough that having a conversation is possible, which is nice.

In all the many years we lived in Phoenix, despite dining at hundreds of restaurants across the Valley, I can honestly remember us regularly visiting maybe one true bar-and-grill style establishment. Then we moved to Sioux Falls. And suddenly we found ourselves surrounded by them. =) So, we are trying our best to adapt and experience the local dining culture the way the locals enjoy it. We came to Tinner's Public House because a large group of our friends absolutely loves the place and wanted us to join them there one evening. And honestly, because we were surrounded by good company and conversation, I still wound up having an enjoyable night overall. The restaurant itself was busy and lively, with that familiar neighborhood gathering-place atmosphere that many people clearly enjoy. As for the food, however, it unfortunately didn't leave much of an impression on me. The steak I ordered arrived overcooked and drier than I would have liked, the salad lacked that crisp fresh quality I was hoping for, and the clam chowder seemed surprisingly sparse on actual clams. Nothing was outright terrible, but most of the meal landed squarely in the mediocre category for me. The service was okay overall, though nothing especially memorable stood out in either direction. Truthfully, I think the biggest appeal of this place may simply be the atmosphere and sense of community it creates for regulars. Watching our friends interact with the staff and each other, it was obvious this is one of those local gathering spots people return to frequently because it feels comfortable and familiar. For me personally, though, I can't really say the food itself gave me much reason to return independently. Still, I had a genuinely pleasant evening because of the people we were with, and sometimes that matters more than the meal anyway.
