I had no idea there were a stretch of bars and restaurants along Northwest Highway in the Park Ridge area. We had to be in the area so we combed through the options on where to go so we chose TOTP. The ambience is very cool and hip and this is a place to definitely have a drink and chill. However based on my table's 3 food options, not sure I would have a meal here - maybe an app but that's it. I chose their Fried Blackened Grouper Sandwich which was in all honesty meh. I've had Grouper - Blackened Grouper many times before and this did not taste fresh but more of a frozen taste to it. The accompanying fresh cut fries were a nice touch. The rest of the table had a Lobster Roll which seemed to be drenched in Old Bay seasoning almost to the point of hiding the fact the Lobster was not fresh at all. Yes, the lobster was not fresh. The other entree was a Bacon Cheeseburger which was good and again the fries that came with was good. There is metered parking around there and there is a patio in front and some sort of rooftop deck. We didn't get to check out the rooftop deck as it was rainy that night. Since my last review, I have come here a couple more times and my experiences warrant an extra star. It's still not my all time favorite place and I do think it's too expensive for what you get, but they honestly have really good cedar planked salmon and grouper sandwich. The salmon is pretty big and fresh, and the grouper sandwich is very flavorful. Sadly, one thing I did try and hated was the calamari. I LOVE calamari, but they put a sweet chili glaze on top of it and I thought it absolutely ruined the taste of the seafood for me because it overpowered it and made the breading way too sticky and sweet. Therefore, I will never be back for that particular appetizer, but if I do order it again, I will not get the gross sauce on top. read more

This place based its entire personality and social media on the fact it has a rooftop. The problem is that the rooftop is never open. I've gone several times with the intent to sit on this allusive rooftop, only to be turned away. It seems ridiculous that the bar uses the rooftop as its main selling point but never actually opens it. We've received several excuses: too hot, too cold, private parties, you name it. All of that is understandable as a one off situation, but the fact it's happened 5-6 times in a row is insane. If you're looking for a rooftop that's open regularly, there are far better options in the area. Disappointing. read more

I came here with a friend on a Friday night after making a reservation on Opentable. Based on the availability of tables, you would've thought the place would be empty. Instead, it was packed and they had cancelled our reservation without notifying us. It turns out they had done the same thing to a party of 6. If there is not availability, that should be reflected on Opentable, rather than having people show up to a cancelled reservation. Both my friend and I and the party of 6 ended up sitting at the bar, which was not what anyone had planned. Just stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for the first time. There were plenty of seats available. When I looked at the menu, which was a shortened version, I was a little disappointed. I selected a beer and although the selection wasn't huge, I found something I liked. My boyfriend ordered a Bloody Mary and saw there was bacon and other fixings in it. When it arrived, there were no garnishes. We asked and there are two different Bloody Mary's, so be careful. The staff was very attentive and helpful and brought him some garnishes to make up for his error. He ordered a burger which was very tasty and I had a salad, also very good. Came here in late June of 2021 so they were operating normally with no restrictions. The hostess staff was great but the wait staff seemed to be stretched a little thing as there were long intervals of time between when they would check in on us. Still Understandable as restaurants adjust to being back to full capacity. My biggest complaint was my dish. I ordered the linguine carbonara which came completely doused in heavy cream and ended up looking more like a fettuccine alfredo dish with less flavor. Came with colleagues. Not only did my order not come until all my other colleagues had finished but it was the wrong order. Seems like a little better attention to details might be in order. My colleagues seemed to enjoy their food though. The waiter was gracious but this isn't a mistake that a well run restaurant should make. This place is surpassingly big and I hope it can stay open through this COVID craziness so that they can fill the indoor dining room. We ordered diet cokes, but it needed to be "fixed" (think they forgot to bring them). Simple menu- salads and sandwiches. I ordered the point salad with avocado added. Good salad! Liked the dressing. It was supposed to have glazed pecans but came with plain walnuts. First off if you're looking for a place that is strictly following covid procedures, this place is not that place for you. Tables/parties were definitely not 6 feet apart. No separation at the bar. All staff did wear masks. And they had paperless menus. My friend and I made reservations for yesterday. Friday night at 6pm. Street parking and we both seemed to find a spot alright. There's valet options too if the area gets busy. We shared a bottle of Riesling which was good. We shared the Irish nachos. They were pretty good. However I think I wouldn't order them again. I had the lobster roll with a side salad. The salad was pretty wimpy. I have seen a couple other pics that show a better salad. So maybe it was an off night. I did really enjoy the lobster roll. Very tasty. My friend did the lobster dinner special and she enjoyed that. However she wanted to switch out the asparagus. Server said it was in the sauce. Nope. They were spares. So better education of the servers on the specials is recommended. We asked to have the carrot cake for dessert since another post had it looking so good. Nope to having the cake available. Instead they had a cookie skillet on the specials. Which that was very tasty. So if that's on the menu I'd recommend. While I wished it was even better, I enjoyed myself.
