Foccacia with cacio di pepe dip. Spritz and olives
    Linda P.

I did a food tour and stopped here. It's a beautiful restaurant and service was amazing. I would not have normally stopped at this restaurant, so I'm so glad they were part of the food tour. Our spritz was light and refreshing. I could've eaten the whole loaf foccacia with the spread. So yummy.

Loved this place! The food was amazing and some of the best pasta we've had in Denver. LOVED the focaccia and would come back just for that. Service was also great and really helpful in deciding what to get. Ambiance is more casual than what I was expecting for the caliber of food and price but still vibes!

Utria left us hanging ( literally forgotten by our waiter, no apology, nothing). So my wife and I walked out and landed at Tavernetta... and damn, that place delivered every single thing we were looking for. We started with the burrata, and I'm not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST burrata I've ever had. Not the best in Denver. The best, period. Backed that up with a solid salad, then moved into a homemade pasta with ragù that had no business being that good. Finished with dessert and walked out wondering why we'd even bothered with Utria in the first place. Here is the thing though... sometimes you need a bad experience to land in the right place. Tavernetta didn't need our five stars: but it earned them anyway.

My husband and I dined in for our anniversary this past weekend and it was phenomenal! It was also our first time here. From the moment we walked in to when we left, everyone was so friendly and attentive. The hostess to manager to server all acknowledged it was our anniversary. Even the menus had a little "happy anniversary" typed on it! It's the little details that make the biggest impact. We had the burrata and half order of bread, delicious. Next up was the crudo. I loved the unexpected freshness and color from the rhubarb. My husband got the tagliatelle and I got the garganelli. Both were delicious. We ended up switching plates halfway through. We also got a side of grilled rapini. Very tasty, a little difficult to cut. To round out the meal, we finished with the affogato, mmm delicious. I appreciated there was a mocktail section as I don't drink too much anymore. The dishes and utensils were switched out after each course which is always appreciated. Overall our first experience at Tavernetta was great, I would love to come back and try more of the menu!

Well after YEARS of wanting to come here, we finally did... thanks to having the CSR card #iykyk We started with the burrata and I can honestly say I never knew burrata could taste that good. It was hands down the best thing we had and some of the other items we ordered were amazing too. If you're going to order anything here, do the burrata with the focaccia bread. You can thank me later. Next up, we had the carpaccio and crudo with caviar. If I had to choose only one, I would pick the carpaccio but the crudo with caviar is great. Freddie recommended the crudo with caviar and what a wonderful harmony of flavors. These were both standout winners. And the carpaccio meat was incredibly soft. Best carpaccio I've ever had, and I love carpaccio. Last, we had the paglia e fieno (rabbit ragu) and branzino. The branzino was the item I was most excited to try leading to our reservation and it was the item I liked the least. I am a huge branzino fan and order it any place that has it. This was probably my least liked branzino I have had. The olive sauce was just way too strong for this fish. The fish itself was beautiful but I couldn't get past the sauce. I would pass on this, even if you like olives. The rabbit ragu really surprised me and it was my 3rd favorite thing we ordered. I would definitely order that again. We passed on dessert since we were full and nothing sounded too good. We did valet at the hotel next door. I immediately told my friends this was one of the best Denver restaurants we've had. The service was outstanding too. Freddie had the best recommendations and took great care of us.

FIVE STAR food, service and experience! We absolutely loved our family style dinner at Travernetta in Denver! We were a party of 8 plus a baby and sat at the chef's table. Clara, the sommelier was very helpful and paired some amazing Italian wines with our meal! She checked on us regularly and was a delight to work with. Freddy was our main server and he hustled around our table all evening, helping us with perfect meal selections to share as a family, from appetizers to pastas to mains and desserts too! He knew the menu inside and out and was key in making our night so enjoyable! The entire staff should be commended! Everyone we came in contact with was warm and made us feel welcomed and appreciated for being their guests! This was our first time at Tevernetta and I can guarantee it won't be our last. I highly recommend planning an evening here alone or with a large group!

The food seems to be a massive labor of love. The flavors are very unique and very tasty. The waiter knew an insane amount of detail about every plate we asked about and the surrounding waiters kept coming around and refilling out cups after a single drink. The ambiance is very nice and is put together very well. This establishment is an amazing example of what a nice restaurant should be like in Denver.

My husband and I went to Tavernetta for St Valentines Day and we were very impressed with the level of service this place has to offer. Our server Caitlin is with the restaurant for about 5 years and was super friendly and professional and very knowledgeable about the menu! Our food was delicious and there was plenty of it! My favorite was the Maine scallop and Cresta di Gallo with black truffle! Our favorite secondi was the venison loin with beetroot, which my husband ordered. Both deserts we got were delicious. My only wish was that they serve that wonderful herb bread warm, not cold. The atmosphere at this restaurant is very sophisticated but cozy and welcoming. I highly recommend Tavernetta for special occasions, it's a wonderful restaurant with incredible staff and amazing Italian food!

Pretty nice restaurant. Classy ! Food was tasty with the exception of the seafood platter woth calamari etc.. not crispy enough and I disliked the aioli it came with . Deserts were good . Service was ok . This place is definitely pricey .

My daughter and I were flying into Denver for a few days visit. While on the airplane, I booked us dinner at Tavernetta. We got held up at the airport and picking up our vehicle and there was no way we were going to make our reservation time. We called the restaurant and the friendly hostess secured us another reservation for that evening. We arrived for our reservation about 10 minutes early and we're greeted by the lovely hostess, who welcomed us warmly and let us know that our table was ready. The lady who took us to our table was very friendly and made polite conversation on the way. Let me say... This restaurant is stunning! Beautifully decorated and the open kitchen is gorgeous! Our waitress greeted us promptly and explained the menu and took our drink orders, which arrived quickly. We encountered many different staff at our table and it seemed like everyone was working as a cohesive team. After reading the yelp reviews, we knew we absolutely must try the burrata and focaccia. The reviews were spot on - they both were so delicious and complimented each other well. My daughter ordered the mushroom pasta and I ordered the Lamb Ragu pasta and we ordered the grilled zucchini to share. From the drinks to our appetizer to our pasta entrées everything was timed perfectly. Both pasta dishes were cooked to al dente perfection and the zucchini was the perfect accompaniment. While the portion sizes were maybe just a tad on the small side, I wouldn't expect different at a fine dining restaurant and honestly, neither one of us could finish! (Could've been the burrata and focaccia we devoured!). We declined dessert (although they all sounded yummy) and our bill came promptly after. We would definitely recommend Tavernetta to anyone living in or visiting downtown Denver!

Showed up at the door hoping for a seat at the bar or lounge area while my car was parked temporarily at the valet. Super nice and might add, very accommodating host explained that all of the seats are taken and nect one will be a hour away. However, the sister restaurant next door called Sunday Vinyl will open soon and we might be able to get a seat. Went back to the valet, signed in and went back to the Tavernetta and waited there till the other restaurant opened up. That's about 15 minutes to go. While happily waiting, the host told us that he can rearrang current reservation and seat us but need to be done by 6 pm which is still an hour and half to go. We gladly took the offer. He seated us by the fireplace which was perfect on chilly evening. Turned out to be the best table in the restaurant. "Buon appetito!" Our waiter came over right away and introduced himself as Ryan (Hope I got that right) and explained the HH menu and the highlight of the night. He went over the drink menu and I told him that the main reason I was here was to try red wine out of the fancy wine glasses they had. He said HH reds at $9 was served on different glasses. I was bit bummed out but was gonna order whatever necessary to hold on to that wine glasses. However, he, right away said will arrange the HH wine to be served on that wine glass I was after. Bravo! With his recommendation, we got the focaccia bread which was served warm with Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Grana Padano dipping sauce, Insalata Mista and calamari. I was on the phone and didn't get to finish right away but Ryan checked on us frequently to make sure timing was perfect to bring the pasta we also ordered. Between Ryan and another server, we were very well taken care of, checked often and the table kept super clean. Superb! Once I was done with the salad, the Roman Pasta flight came out. Due to pork allergy, we ended up getting serving of All'amatriciana and Cacio e Pepe. Both were delicious! Overall, definitely a big thumbs up and coming back to try Tagliatelle and Branzino. Valet parking at the entrance of the building which is $15 after validation from the restaurant.

Does the champagne and caviar cart still exist? I've seen posts about it on social media but don't see it mentioned on the website. Is it seasonal?

Do they have vegetarian options for dinner?

From what I remember yes they do if you eat dairy.

I unexpectedly had a 3% kitchen appreciation fee somewhere else. Does this place do this? Carlton: thanks will try them out! Phil: If the owner isn't paying them, why are owners forcing Customers to? Poor management or way to increase their profits?

    Nope!

Are there spaces in the place that are very quiet? I find so many restaurants have room designs that make the place quite loud and for me that's a minus.

I don't really think this place is quiet, although if you go at lunch, it's a smaller dining area and less crowded. They have an awesome lunch special too, it's our favorite time to go.

When do reservations open for future dates?

Reservations are open now for the month forward. New reservations open daily from the date.

Is there a dress code? If so, what is it?

    Smart casual

Yes but I don't recommend kids unless they're very well behaved and love food. Not sure if they even have a kids menu. Check website.

Tavernetta does not have a dress code - whatever you feel most comfortable in!

Are they open for indoor dining? Do they take reservations?

    They are! They do!

Are you able to make any of your pastas dairy free?

Hi Emily, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we can do a number of pastas dairy free.

Is there a dress code? Thanks in advance!

Ciao Cindy! Nothing formal, but you see it all; some folks are attending a theatre or musical event, and others straight off the train. Come as you are and enjoy!

Absolutely! They can make any pasta gluten free except for the stuffed pastas!

We arrived for Brunch on a Sunday afternoon & the place was busy. We had Cheese Bread with Marinara, Lasagna & Chicken Parmigiana. Our dishes were delicious! The bread was a meal in its self with a really tasty sauce. The lasagna was very good as well but the parmigiana was even better...crispy flavorful chicken. What tied all this together was the scrumptious red sauce used in everything we ate. It was awesome with a spicy kick. This was an amazing meal & I look forward to trying some of their dishes from the dinner menu like the Lobster Ravioli & the Chicken Marsala.

Absolutely loved this place. Honestly, not sure why the reviews aren't even higher than they are,…read morebut to each their own I suppose. The restaurant has a classic old school Italian rat pack throwback vibe. It's fun and lively and a great place to join friends for dinner. Food here is genuinely delicious. I grew up in a big Italian family and have eaten a lot of Italian food over the years. This is exactly the kind of Italian comfort food I was hoping for. Super flavorful and delicious dishes that won't disappoint. We tried the Gnnochi Salsicia, Lobster Ravioli, Tasty Treats and lasagna (always kind of hesitant to try a lasagna or spaghetti) and all of them were amazing. The Lobster Ravioli and Gnnochi were probably the table favorites and were genuinely two of the best dishes I've had at an Italian food spot in a long time. Absolutely plan to make this a regular stop moving forward!
