These guys made an effort to give a timely estimate, gave a fair price and provided a very professional tree removing service. We had branches over-hanging a clay tile roof and they were careful to not damage them. We requested they leave wood for our fireplace and they neatly cut and stacked them for us. Victa (I hope I spelled his name correct) showed up, gave me an estimate on trimming 2 trees outside my house. I was pleased with the price, and told Victa to get started. He did such an awesome job my neighbor had him take all the branches off the tree in his yard. They were fast, good price, and cleaned up! Great job. So I received a letter from the city demanding that I trim my 30-foot palm tree or pay a fine. Out of all the tree services I called, only Vites Tree Service picked up the phone. I have found so many great businesses and services through yelp that i can't believe i had such a bad experience with such a highly rated site. The price i unfortunately agreed to was ridiculously high for the simple job of pruning a few fruit trees. Even worse, the job was poorly done, even unfinished. Some of the trees are now overgrown, and fruit output this season is quite poor. One of my worst yelp experiences to date. After communicating extensively with Tavite, it seems very possible that the workers who showed up at my house were con artists using Tavite's name. I've wondered for a long time how my experience could be so opposite to everyone else who has written a review. After seeing Yelp reviews about Tavite's tree services I gave him a call. He came by the house on time and gave me a quote. He also gave me advice on the types of plants to grow in the front area of the house. One of the pair of king palms died so we needed to uproot the stump. The other matured king palm needed to be removed because it was causing damage to the concrete planters. Tavite planted 2 pygmy date palms, plus a 3 branch pygmy palm tree in another area. He removed our guava trees and trimmed pomelo tree also. He did some other minor landscapings, which turned out nice. His team did a great job! Always great service. Vite has done our trees for several years. He will even stop by when he is not busy to see if we need any work done. Yesterday I called him to do a lot of work for me. He was at my house with a full crew within 20 minutes ready to work. After he quoted the job, his crew went to work. The crew cut down several trees; cleared my side yard; trimmed all the hedges and plants; trimmed the remaining trees. Spent a good 2 1/2 hours and cleaned up well. I worked on a house project in Downey, Ca. and called Vite based on the Yelp reviews. We had several things to be done: - remove a 10' guava tree, including the roots - clear a pathway on the side of the house which was overgrown with thick foliage - trim bushes away from the fence - trim a 20` tree and remove large branches that were heavy and too high for us to reach Vite did the work for $280 cash and we tipped him for doing a good job, cleaning up and hauling it all away. He came out the same day I called him for the estimate and returned later that day to do the work. This is Vite's own business. He doesn't show up in a fancy truck or elaborate gear. Just electric saws and climbing into trees. And using an old truck to haul the debris away. He and one other person were hard working and completed the job in less than an hour.
