Hands down the best Italian spot in Jupiter! Tavolena has become our absolute favorite, and for good reason. Chef Mike and his wife, Lisa, are the most welcoming owners--they truly make you feel like family the second you walk through the door. ​The food is high-quality and consistently spot on. The fried calamari is a must-start, and their Sunday Italian Feast is legendary. The chicken riggies are incredible, but if you're lucky enough to be there during truffle season... OMG. ​Pro tip: Book early! They fill up fast, so we actually make our next standing reservation every time we're there just to make sure we get a spot. ​Also, definitely check out their bakery and deli right next door. Awesome spot, happy we finally checked it out! It's small and intimate and the food was delicious. It's the perfect date night! It appears they do two seatings, 5pm and 8pm. We made a 8pm reservation and arrived a few minutes early, so we grabbed some wine and headed outside. For some reason, the bartender wasn't friendly at all towards our group, but I'm letting that slide. Anyway, when we sat down, they immediately brought us a bread basket that included their homemade focaccia bread and butter, which was wonderful. For appetizers, we split their meatballs and their zucchini fritters. The fritters were incredible. The dishes looked huge, so we split two dishes between the four of us. The chicken francese had a ton of flavor, it did taste like an old school NY/NJ spot. It was 100% on point. After our meal, they gave us a bit of lemoncello and homemade Italian cookies, which were fabulous! Service was good too. (Please note, it's beer and wine only). Tavolena is a great little spot! Our server Daniel was excellent. I wanted Italian for my birthday, which falls on a Sunday this year, and since Tavolena is closed Sundays, we decided to celebrate a day early. Luckily, that didn't stop them from going all out, offering a complimentary cannoli and serenading me with a happy birthday song. Everything about our meal was pretty darn perfect. The meatballs were fantastic, the veal parm was huge, and the handmade pasta was lovely. Special shoutout for their fresh baked ciabatta bread, which was a great starter. And the pistachio butter cake??? Amazing. I will absolutely be coming back. Sure, it's a little pricey, but for special occasions, Tavolena has become one of my new favorite joints. read more

We were sat in the cafe section which is next to the restaurant. There was no restroom here and only 4 small tables. The table was set beautifully with nice napkin ring holders. We ordered calamari and meatballs as our app and neither knocked our socks off. The meatballs needed more sauce / flavor. The calamari does come with peppers. We got the branzino special and that was the only thing special about it. Our waiter was amazing and very friendly. The best thing we had all night were the cookies. This is not an old school red sauce Italian type place if that is what you are looking for. Overall I'm not sure we would return because it's not our style. read more

My friend had the Lufthansa and liked it. I had the Parma and it was a miss for me, The prosciutto was hard and stringy, and it was difficult to bite off a piece of sandwich and chew It. There also wasn't much fresh mozzarella...1/2 my sandwich had only a very small piece! I was very surprised considering the high cost of the sandwiches. We also upgraded for $3 for "Tavolena style" toppings. It was good at first, but then became too oily and spicy for me. For the price, we felt the sandwiches could have been bigger and better. The bread was good, though. We may try one more time with the hot sandwiches and see if they're worth the price. read more

Very small, nice place except the "busts" all over the walls in the bar area...they should replace that with something else, at least 3/4 shelves. Utica greens good but meatballs mediocre not much flavor and not as soft as expected. Chicken Riggies inadequate...brothy! Not the traditional that we're used to. Being from upstate NY it's not what chicken Riggies is suppose to be. Bread ok. Butter cold. White clam sauce had a strange "watery" after taste. Honestly one of the best restaurants that I have ever been to. The atmosphere is so nice, it's very tiny restaurant, but doesn't feel cramped at all. Everyone that serves you here is happy to be there and knows the menu well and to top it off, it seems like the chef comes out and meets everybody individually. You can really tell that there is a true love of the craft here. And then, of course, the food is amazing. I'm not a huge Italian food person but everything that was served to us tonight was perfect. It feels like everywhere I go that serves Italian food will not be compared to this restaurant. I've been Italy twice and nothing there compares to this food. It was amazing. Had lunch at the Bakery/Deli today. My daughter in law is from Italy. She said the food was even better than being home. They even had MoleCola which is from her home town, Torino. I honestly can't review the food, we ended up leaving because of the seating. After making reservations weeks in advance, we arrived with our guests and were directed to the "sandwich shop/bakery"?? We walk over and see a table for 4 up against the bakery counter/display case. Absolutely no ambiance whatsoever. I went back to speak with the hostess and was told sorry, nothing we can do. I was embarrassed in front of my guests given they commented about the seating. They commented that it was like we were at "the kids table" and I feel like we're eating at a deli/bakery. Made reservations for Christmas Eve. Love the ambience, however, they put us next-door in this small white store with three tables in it. The restaurant itself has a nice ambience, but the store we were in was terrible. We ordered the special surf and turf, which had an 8 ounce fillet and two stuffed shrimp. The fillet did not even taste like meat and the shrimp was so fishy. After locating our waiter, we let him know. He took everything back. The chef then came out and we let him know how we felt. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Incredible food journey. Service was impeccable. The house made Cavetelli pasta with cream sauce, prosciutto, and shave truffles was to die for. Server recommend the perfect red and white wine with dinner. The chef has highlighted his grandmothers recipes and he has done his Leana proud. We started with pear and blue cheese pasta purses and my wife was in heaven. I ordered Leana's meatballs and they were incredible. We ended with the almond cookies a chef speciality that had an amazing crispy outside and a delicate inside with amazing flavor. This was the highlight of our trip to Jupiter. My wife and I recently moved to the area and just discovered Tavolena on Yelp. Reviews were great so we gave it a try. Moving from the north east it's very hard to find true Italian food in FL that is really good. This place is it. Small little quaint place that is very intimate, great wine list, amazing personable staff, we met the husband and wife owners as well as they came up to us to introduce themselves. Everything is hand made, the portions are large, the food is amazing and taste just like the best Italian food in Manhattan. The deserts melt in your mouth. By far the best Italian food in FL. Love the story behind this restaurant. Family owned, grandma's recipes. We were a party of 9 so we were seated in a private room in which I thought was great. The calamari was excellent, fresh, soft (not chewy). They don't have a kids menu but that was no problem. The kids ate pasta and meatballs. My dad had the filet. He said it was the best he ever had! It was really good. I had some myself. There was not one plate of food that came out that was not delicious. The waiter was the grandson. Super nice guy. It was my dad birthday so we ordered the cannoli & the chocolate cake. The waiter came out with complimentary almond cookies (freshly baked that day) and limoncello for the table. Just heard about this new local gem hidden away in the back of a strip mall. But when you walk in you're transported to an opulent world with a 90s-Medici collab vibe. Friendly service. Chef and his wife both came over to chat and ask about our experience. Which was excellent. Food quality top notch. Rises above the usual overpriced but uninspired Italian fare found in PBC. Brought over white truffle and shaved it at the table over the special tagliatelle. Food quantity was bountiful and we were full halfway through. Couldn't even consider dessert. But chef insisted and brought over gratis limoncello shots and freshly made almond cookies that were so moist inside I can still taste them! A welcome addition to PBC foodie scene. All I can say is WOW! We came here for my birthday dinner and walking up to the restaurant I didn't know what to expect from the inside. All I have to say is don't judge a book by its cover. You walk in and the design is beautiful. Loved everything about it. Even the bathroom is a great spot for a selfie. When it comes to the food- my favorite dishes were the pear pasta appetizer, the meatballs, the Riggie pasta dish, and the chef salad (I still think about it often!). The owners came to the table and greeted us all so warmly. They sent me home with a platter of the most amazing almond cookies on the house. The kindness, service, food, ambiance- was all perfection. Really confused by all of the high reviews here. Very overcrowded glitzy spot in the back of a very dated strip mall. The decor was so tacky and the guests were dressed like they were headed to Palm Beach instead of basic Jupiter strip mall. It was an odd vibe. The food was okay but definitely not worth revisiting. The service started off well but then we were completely forgotten. There are far better choices for Italian cuisine in the surrounding area. We will not return. read more
