Calling at 4:40 pm and being told that I wouldn't be picked up until 6pm is ridiculous! When the driver finally showed up at Safeway he had a passenger in his front seat! There is a local bus loop that works in Lincoln city. Use that instead but make sure to wave them down while they approach your stop or they will not stop. Taxi 101 charged me $15 flat rate for a local ride, two miles away. I unfortunately had to use them three times. The final time they charged me $12. I asked why the difference in price and they told me that they gave me the "local" rate. SO! For those vacationing in Lincoln city who are not residents, expect to be price gauged by local companies like Taxi 101, you will be taken advantage of. I suggest you tell them you're a local to avoid paying a higher fee or just utilize the city loop shuttle. The bus and shuttle services in the area are a great way to get around the coast and even travel inland at a very low cost. Shame on you Taxi 101 for discouraging tourism, which is what is keeping your town alive. read more

Visited this unappealing spot of coastline. Went to the casino using taxi 101. They showed up on time but the driver was not wearing a mask as you see in other reviews. They must listen to Trump, as the virus does not exist. We ordered a cab to go home after losing all our money. Standard 20-30 minutes. 40 minutes goes by, I called. 20-30 minutes again. After another 40 minutes and a no call no show, we walked home 2.8 miles in the cold rain. Taxis wonder why uber and lyft are putting them out of business...... read more

Friendly drivers and arrived when they said they would. However, the only downside I experienced was their current pricing. One trip was $18 for a 3 mile destination (with a stop that I needed to make) and the return trip later that day was $14 for 1.5 miles. Overall they are great but I believe the pricing is a bit too much for such short trips. read more

It says they are open 24hrs. They act like they care about locals and getting them to work. Yet when my wife called, the night before mind you, to set up a ride at 5:45am, she was told they would be there and was left on the side of the highway to walk to work. AT 6:00am.... If they are indeed open 24hrs as they state, then why didn't they pick her up? Or at least call and say they were not going to be there. If it was your wife, how would you feel? This taxi service was excellent. Lincoln city doesn't really have much as far as taxes go. We called them to pick us up at 6:30 PM at a restaurant. They were there exactly on time. They were professional and took her straight to our location with no problems. One thing I might recommend that the taxi driver ask the patron if the patron is the same person that they are scheduled to pick up. There is a risk that the taxi driver could pick up somebody who happen to want to taxi at the same time and then the actual patron who made the call with Miss that. read more

With traffic on NYE always being an issue, my husband and I reserved a ride from Taxi 101 for our night out. Although we live on the far side of the lake, we were guaranteed a car from our place to the casino. (Sir Mix-A-Lot was free at the casino - how could we NOT go?!?) After reading about the scary issues with the competition, I felt more secure choosing Taxi 101 for our NYE adventures. Although it was a very busy night, all of my communication with Taxi 101 was direct and professional even when patrons leaving the casino were pushy, drunk, and demanding. Elizabeth drove us home that night and she was just great! With all of the stress and high volume of business that night, she was still upbeat, helpful, and fun. My bf and I stayed about 3 blocks from the casino and in the past I've used the free shuttle service. We attempted it on a Saturday night and even waited outside for 20 minutes (10 minutes earlier than he was set to arrive). We then see him to go the hotel next door, so we called the number back and asked if we somehow missed them. The guy very sternly says "yeah I picked up 3 people from where you were staying." To which my boyfriend told him no, you went next door. He then says "Well it'll be another hour. Hope you don't mind standing." WOW! We googled taxi's and found this one. We called and they were so polite and quick, calling us before arrival. the gentleman who took us was so friendly and the woman who picked us up after was the name, her name was Cherri! I read the good reviews and was staying in a hotel about a mile from the venue to see a show we had bought tickets at the casino. After about a dozen calls earlier in the day to get a taxi scheduled, I gave my phone to my wife who is luckier than I am because after just a few attempts, she got a person on the line. Their telephone does not accept incoming messages, so they just have a message suggesting you call back in a few minutes. Luckily, we planned ahead and started this plan hours in advance to confirm they could accommodate a one mile taxi ride a half hour before the show started. They said it wouldn't be a problem at all to pick us up at 7:30 to get us in plenty of time for our 8pm show. We got ready, had ourselves in the hotel lobby several minutes early and then we waited. The taxi company called me at 7:40 and said they would be another 15 minutes late. We ended up walking to the casino for our show to ensure we made it to see our show we paid a lot of money to see. Taxi 101 needs to get their $H1T together before I would recommend them to anyone I cared about to get anywhere on time. It's like gambling. Am I gonna get picked up? Dunno. I called earlier in the day to ensure, 1) they would be available at 11pm, 2) if it was a problem to go from Lincoln City to Neskowin and 3) to find out the best way to get a taxi that late. I was told, should not be a problem and to call 45 mins to 1 hour ahead of time. At quarter past 10 I called and was told you are better off calling right before. After I explained I called earlier, he said, "ok, someone will be there at 11". At 11:10pm, I called and inquired about the taxi. The person who answered stated someone went there at 11pm, called my number and was hung up on. I explained I hadn't received a phone call from anyone. His response, "my drivers don't lie.....find your own way". This is how Uber has destroyed the taxi service. I am going to make it my mission to get Uber in this area. Let me start by saying the first driver we had was great. That being said on our return trip to our hotel, the driver was late, not a huge deal but annoying. After being picked up, the driver receives a call and then we turn off of highway 101. We pick up another passenger and then leave. On the way, we randomly stop at some store so this person can get beer. At this point I am extremely mad. We leave said store and then drop off this random passenger before finally taking me to my destination. My first call was to Taxi 101, told them our situation and Sue rolled up with a just enough room to fit us all in the same rig (which I didn't think was possible). My husband and I were in Lincoln City this past weekend and wanted to take a taxi to dinner since we were planning on having drinks. The taxi showed up on time but the driver was extremely unprofessional. He did not wear a mask and told us that he believes that the Covid-19 vaccine is all a part of a conspiracy by Bill Gates to be able to track everyone. When he dropped us off he said to call about a half an hour before we needed to be picked up. When we called we were told it would be an hour and a half. We understand that things can get busy so we were fine with the wait. An hour and a half went by and no taxi. We called to see how much longer it would be and there was a recording stating that they were having technical difficulties. Nobody called us to say that they wouldn't be coming and they never showed up. My husband and I had to walk back to our hotel in an unfamiliar town. To say we were displeased would be an understatement. Definitely not a way to run a business. read more
