When we originally went to pick the vehicle in October the rear driver side door had been damaged and the gear shifter lights no longer worked and the car was not accelerating . We informed them. At which point they said they would take a look at it. They contacted me back and said I would need a second diagnostics when they did a full diagnostic when we took it in and no other issues were found. After doing a second diagnostics they then said the cam magnet was the cause of the vehicles loss of acceleration. We just picked the vehicle up today and now the backup camera is not working. They told us they can do another diagnostics which we would have to pay for it. What's even worse is the General Manager and the Service Manager both stated there's not much they could do. Eventually, we were offered $250 off of the cam magnet repair. But unfortunately we left with our vehicle worse off than when we took in for a simple service. I would not recommend taking your vehicle to Gerald Jones Volkswagen for repair. If you can find another foreign automotive repair shop that has great work/mechanics. I'd highly recommend doing so.

What they told us was that the wiring harness under the passenger seat had been chewed by a dog and needed to be replaced for $975. Looks like one of his toys had rolled under the seat and he had been trying to get it. All of our interactions with Gerald Jones have been very good. Just a warning if you have this car and a small dog.

After reviewing the code in her 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, the car needed a new engine, and it was a recall. Initially, the service team provided excellent service. We paid nearly 2,000.00 for suggested service surrounding an engine replacement. We live 3 hours from this location and when it was ready, we drove to pick it up. When we drove about 17 miles, the check engine light came on again, so we called and they told us to drive it back. After reviewing the code, we were told it was the catalytic converter and that had nothing to do with the recall. We were told it was safe to drive home and if there were any issues, we could take it to the local dealership, and the engine issue would be covered. When we got home, we took the vehicle to a local mechanic to check the converter. They called me in and told me to stop driving it immediately. The manifold cover was damaged, and oil was leaking all over the place. I called Taylor Hyundai, and after multiple attempts, by phone and text, from both my daughter and I, I finally got a call back. I was told to take it to my local Hyundai Dealership. So, I did, and I was told by service it was not their problem and only the dealership that did the work can look at it for free. So began my journey of trying to reach Taylor Hyundai. It's been almost 2 weeks. Between my daughter, my wife, and I, we have left several messages and cannot get ahold of anybody but service. Every number they transfer us to goes straight to voicemail. We have received no call backs after leaving several messages. No texts responding to a call back. This is the most terrible service I have ever received by any company.
