The atmosphere was fun, utilizing retired ride vehicles as booths and playing into the park setting. As expected in Hershey, the menu explored how chocolate can be integrated into a very American menu. I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes. The Reese's peanut butter shake was peanut butter to the Nth degree, and it was topped by an entire slice of peanut butter pie. My friend got a stomachache but I love anything peanut butter so this was a win for me. Both times the service was really good. Our servers were friendly and attentive so we never felt we were being ignored or passed over. A+ in the service department.

When we visited, albeit at the end of the day around 7:30PM, there were only 7 flavors remaining and none of them were really Hershey themed. How???? I'm guessing we got the bottom of the barrel in flavors and the more popular ones were all gobbled up during the day, but, to be frank, they're HERSHEY. They should have an endless supply of their branded ice cream tubs ready to go. There was a line to enter, but it went relatively quickly. We ended up ordering a waffle cone with a scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip and Blueberry Crisp. Pretty ordinary flavors in our books and obviously not Hershey branded like Reese's. The ice cream was OK to my wife and I, but, as expected, our kids couldn't care less what the flavors were because their faces were smothered in it. In addition, the ice cream shockingly melted mightily fast even though we were indoors in an air-conditioned space. I've been outdoors in 90 degree heat with ice cream cones and it never melted as fast as the ice cream from here. We definitely expected more, but, yes, it was the end of the day, so I'll cut them a smidge of slack. However, like I said, they should have had more right behind it all. And the ice cream we did get was just average. Maybe if we came during the day, the ice cream would have been better, so we'll see next go around.

I liked it so much I went back for it again a week later! When I got there I checked out their pay-it-forward board (please note I don't actually know what the board is called) and I was able to find a note that applied to me! I love that Cubby's has this option. It's so caring and really makes you feel connected to others and what the business is about. I was particularly grateful for it because my free sundae allowed me to treat a friend to a quart of their favorite ice cream. It's chocolate marshmallow and it was heavenly! The staff here are so friendly! I've never had any issues ordering and I've been here more than a handful of times. The place is really cute. I love the large outdoor deck with oversized games. Too cold, or not for you... there are regular sized games all throughout inside. I just think that's the coolest thing. So if you're bored or need a date idea, this is a great place to get a treat, play some games, lounge, and enjoy each other's company. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!!

You can spend the whole day here doing all of the interactive activities and shows. Honestly, I think they're pretty overpriced and you would be better off spending your time at the Hershey Story museum downtown. However, I think it's a must do if you visit the park. You can go on the free ride about how chocolate is made- and then you get a free sample at the end! They have food options but I think they're pretty overpriced. I would only go if you're on a bus trip and don't have any other options. The gift shop is massive and has different merchandise than the park. They also have deals on certain chocolate items and sometimes have new products as well. The check out lines can get long but move very quickly. There is also a self checkout line than can be hard to find but is very quick. You have to stop by if you're visiting Hersheypark- don't miss it!
