Incredibly disappointed based on so many positive reviews. We had been with our previous dentist for over 15 years. Only changed because they stopped taking our insurance. Hygienist was mediocre and spent very little time on our teeth. We are not able to sit through ultrasonic cleaning and required hand scaling and their office just did not seem proficient in that type of cleaning. There were 6 of us total, ranging in age from 20-58, that transferred to this office. Two of us were told we had a cavity that needed to be addressed. None of us got a great feeling and decided to go elsewhere for a cleaning and pay out of pocket less than 30 days after that visit. The next dentist stated that none of us had cavities and that our teeth did not show signs of any recent cleanings although it had only be 21 days since You Raleigh Dentist had cleaned our teeth. Almost 8 months have passed and we have had another cleaning done at the new dentist we transferred to and thankfully still no signs of cavities and we are able to get great hand scaling cleanings done. Unprofessional billing practices. I was quoted one price but then charged a completely different price (to the tune of $800 more than what was quoted). I do not recommend this dentist and even though they will respond to this message with a "please contact our office" message, they don't actually help you when you contact the office. read more

This was one of the worst dental experiences I've ever had. The front desk was rude, the hygienist wasn't gentle, and the dentist barely spent two minutes with me. I didn't feel listened to or cared for at all. I would highly suggest going somewhere else. read more

I used to take the kids to Riccobene in Cary but we moved to Garner area and I thought I should find someplace closer. I found "Your Raleigh Dentist" in a very convenient location and thought I would give it a try. The kids really don't need much care, we just take them in for their 6 month checkups and I was planning on going there regularly too. Our teeth maintenance schedule had been off a bit since Covid. Anyway, I took both kids in and they put sealant on my older daughter's teeth-not my younger one because it hadn't been 5 years (which is how often my insurance will pay for it). So, I go on with my life thinking everything is as it should be when I receive a bill for almost $400 that says it is 90+ days overdue. Yes, that was my first time receiving that bill. I pay my bills on time and as a small business owner, delinquencies are a big deal. So I called to find out why I was being charged this amount and they told me that it was refused by insurance because it hadn't been 5 years yet. That is something they should have know since they were given access to my children's dental records (they had only ever been to one office so it couldn't have been difficult). The lady said she needed to talk to the manager and she would call me back. I waited a week with no word. I just called back today and after a lengthy wait, the associate came back after speaking to the manager (probably avoiding conflict by sending someone else to deal with her upset customer) and told me that as a courtesy they would give me a 50% discount. Gee, thanks. Insurance would have paid 100%. That being said, I paid my bill, cancelled all upcoming appointments and plan to reschedule with Riccobene. Going to the dentist is stressful enough without having to worry about unexpected charges and possible credit collections accounts. read more

Dr Taylor was a fantastic dentist. The office staff has been a problem for years, not communicating, not filing insurance claims appropriately, etc. After his retirement, the office became part of a larger corporation. The dentists are ok but the service has been terrible from the front desk. So between ok and terrible, I cannot recommend this practice. read more

if you love when a front desk worker catches an attitude with you or the dentist makes your TONGUE bleed this is the place to go to. also, no payment plans, so expect to give them your life savings if you don't have dental insurance. read more

I am SO happy I made the decision to switch to this dentist. I went to Atlantic Family Dental and they told me I had 7 cavities, they fixed 2 and I wasn't happy with their work so I decided to go to Your Raleigh Dentist (formerly Taylor Family Dentistry). They told me that aside from one of the fillings they did at Atlantic I had NO cavities. Atlantic was trying to squeeze money out of me! And not just that, but at Your Raleigh, everyone was friendly, empathetic, professional, and punctual. This is the dentist office I'm going to from now on! read more

I started going to Taylor Family Dentistry after my dentist had a career change. There are probably 10 dentists much closer to me but I drive to see Dr. Taylor and his staff. His rates are reasonable but more importantly, I like that he has a conservative approach and know that I can trust him. A medical treatment I was on for a year caused dental issues that could be very costly. Dr. Taylor walked me through what was most important, and what could wait and even gave me some things I could do at home to help. His dental hygienists are excellent and gentle and his entire staff have been so kind during a challenging time. I can't say enough about Dr. Taylor and his integrity and warm manner. Oh, and they have great massage chairs and a TV in each room which makes the time fly! read more

Extremely unprofessional doctor and staff. Dr. Taylor WAS my family's dentist. One day I had a perfectly normal and professional conversation with one of his staff, as requested by my employer. From that he called my employer and referred to me as a b*tch. I was immediately fired. This doctor will never lay another hand on a member of my family. read more

This might sound odd, but I look forward to going to the dentist thanks to Dr. Taylor, the staff and the facilities! Hygienists are attentive and gentile. Each patient exam area has a TV with massaging chairs to help with anxiety. Dr. Taylor is friendly and knowledgeable. read more

My first visit to Taylor Family Dentistry was awesome. I was in pain with a toothache and the staff was super sweet. Dr. Taylor explained my issue to me very thoroughly and took his time so that I completely understood. I appreciated his kindness and honesty. He referred me to an Endodontist for this tooth I went to him about, but I am definitely going back to him for anything else. We are very new to the area and haven't had time yet to establish ourselves with a dentist. I was leaving for a business seminar in Dallas on a weekday and the day before my trip I lost a rather large filling which left a nerve exposed and me with considerable pain. I called Taylor Fam Dentistry and explained my situation. Without giving herself a minute to check the schedule, a curt sounding woman informed me that there was no room to take an emergency new patient. I would have expected her to ask to put me on hold while she consulted the dentist, but that wasn't the case. I asked if she could recommend a solution and she suggested I visit an urgent care facility and get pain medication. I was a little taken back by the unwillingness of this office to, at the very least, point me in the direction of some other office that might have room in their schedule. Fortunately my daughter had wax that she used when she had braces and that got me through until I arrived in Dallas where an office there was able to take care of my problem without suggesting I become a statistic in the opioid crisis. FYI to Dr. Taylor's office, you lost out on a root canal and crown for which I paid $2200.00 but if you don't care, I surely don't. read more

I am not a huge fan of going to the dentist, like most people, that is until I started going to Taylor family dentistry. When I called for an appointment Sodonna went over everything with me and showed compassion and understanding not only to me but my son as well who has high anxiety when it comes to the dentist. Tara is always great and Dr. Taylor is very personable and kind. He explains what he is doing and suggest a plan that is within your budget. I cannot say enough positive comments about Dr. Taylor and his staff. They're the most professional and courteous people I've encountered in a dentist's office and I've seen plenty over the years between orthodontic and dental procedures. I love Dr. Taylor's manner and professionalism. He consults, gives his opinions and options, and then listens to your concerns and devises a plan with you to achieve positive results. I've seen Dr. Taylor for some extensive dental work that could cost thousands and he was not only reasonable but does beautiful work that was virtually painless. I have switched from another dentist, who was OK, but prices got higher & higher for no apparent reason.I decided to try Dr. Taylor simply because the office was so close, what a good decision. I have so many different issues ( caps, crowns, loose teeth, partial denture needs, etc, etc) and Dr Taylor has handled it all with great expertise, understanding and patience, and the staff are wonderful. If I could give 0 stars, I would. This office is completely unprofessional and not at all kid-friendly. I called to schedule an appointment for my son, who is autistic, and discussed his condition with the receptionist. She said it would be no problem, they see this kind of thing all the time. When I arrived for the appointment, my son was playing with the magazines (their office is NOT kid-friendly at all!) and the woman behind the desk came out and talked to my son (not to me, even though I was sitting right next to him) and asked him to stop. They tried to complete a bunch of work that we did not request, and when I declined that, they promptly told us that we need to see a specialist doctor for my child as well as a specialist dentist. Basically, they did nothing but give my son a hard time since we walked in the door. Absolutely ridiculous - I will refuse to see anyone in their office again. read more
