So my Sister-in-law Tiffany massey had Airbag recall done here and they put the wiring harness underneath the parking brake which caused problems in her car and she went to a different place to get it fixed cost her 200 bucks and Taylor kill will not refund her the money because she did not want to go back there and have them do the work Because they already messed it up once and of course and i am not saying any names the technician blamed it on his apprentice If you have a Apprentice it is your job to check his work after he is done Also her airbag light stays on because of this but the problem is they won't refund or her money for going to a different place which I don't blame her for doing that read more

NEVER....NEVER would I EVER recommend let alone purchase or have anything positive to say about the Taylor Kia. My husband and I were looking to purchase a Kia Telluride. We had set up an appointment knowing they had 5 in stock. Upon arriving we were greeted with Brock. We sat down with him and started chatting and we told him what we were interested in. To start off, he didn't wear his mask during our visit which is against all requirements there and in Ohio. He then proceeded to ask "do you have children?". We responded know. At that time he had the nerve to say rudely "then why would you need a full size SUV?" ummmm because we want one. Why would you purchase something if you do not want that item? We then advised him that we were looking to what the actual price was for the models we were looking at. He did not want to answer that but only focus on the payments we were trying to achieve. I repeated myself stating that we were interested on the specs and price. He REFUSED to show us the Telluride. He stated that what we could afford would put us in a Kia Sportage. Without providing details of our price range or financial information, he already assumed that we could not afford the car we were inquiring on. He then brings out the sales manager, Brandy. He tried to calm the tension that there was and I told him we were interested in the Telluride. He stated there was a 6-10k mark up on those cars currently. Again, no price was disclosed to us. They then bring out a Kia Sorento that is the basic of all options and models. We took the obligatory test drive where Brock would not take us anywhere above 35mph. How are you to know the handling of a vehicle at normal speed, I do not know. We then get back and he asks if we wanted to chat about a deal. I said instantly, no. He was taken back by that. I said, does this car have a markup on it. He responded stating yes. I said, well no thanks. Your sales manager Brady just stated that there were NO MARKUPS on the Sorentos which is the only reason we even entertained the looking at it. He got snotty with me. I told him to chat with his sales manager to get details right before trying to sell a vehicle. We then left. I received a call the following day from a nice lady Tammy that inquired she heard we had a bad experience and was checking in. I told her about everything we experience and I told her if someone wants to sell a Telluride, give me a call. She said she was going to have upper management reach out to me about the experience we had but also the car interest. I did not receive a call from them until 4 days after the fact. Upon receiving a call from the finance manager, I asked if they would be selling the Tellurides at MSRP like every other Kia dealership in the tri-state area and he said no. There is a supply and demand fee of 6-10k added on. IT was a very short conversation. They do not care if they treat one bad customer badly because they think there will be suckers that will pay 10k over asking. I was under the assumption that this dealership was respectful and was able to offer great deals and they did nothing but treat my husband & I disrespectfully, arrogantly and trying to pull something over on people by taking on THOUSANDS of dollars to cars. We went to another dealer a few days later in Fort Wayne and just bought a Hyundai Palisade instead. It's sad when we were chatting with the dealership we purchased from stated that Taylor Automotive Group does not have great reputations and is awful to work with on dealer trades. I have not had a good experience with Taylor Kia. I bought 2009 Dodge Caravan in 2016 the van looked great and very clean, great tred on the tires until I had the oil changed and the tires rotated, the other side of the tires were as bald as the back of my head. I had to replace the battery a couple of months later. Then my rear brakes went out in August then my front brakes went out. Then also in the middle of the summer my a/c went out and they want $125.00 just to tell me if the$2500 extended warranty will cover the cost of the a/c which I will not know until this Friday .I will get back to you and let you know if my a/cwas covered by the warranty or not...Wish me luck!!! Promised to fix body damage on a used truck, found out it this "promise" was never placed in the paperwork. Went back to straighten out the issue and the sales manager says "that wasn't even our guy. Kia ships these people in for promotions". Manager refuses to take responsibility for a shady deal under his roof. And sales guy "Sammy Z" is supposedly let go. (Yeah right). I also had a bad experience with Taylor Kia. Currently, their special is a "buy 1 drive 2" sales event... and there is very little information given on the radio. So, first thing I did was try the website and I could not find ANY of the terms and conditions. So I did live chat... and the sales agent 'said' she was not able to find any info either and "my best bet" was to come on in and talk to a sales agent OR give her my name and number and a sales agent would call me back. I told her I know how car dealerships work (I worked in one) and that I wasn't going to give my info to some sales agent who enters me into their customer program so he/she can set reminders to call me every day or other day asking if "im still in the market for buying a new vehicle". There is a "buy or die" attitude with car salesman although it is not generally discussed. It means: Keep harassing them until they either buy or tell you to f*#$ off! I did go into the dealership the next day and the salesman would not give me much info UNTIL I relinquished my personal info and he 'ran a credit app on me'. I told him "I'm not ready to buy I just want more info so I can make an informed decision"... and his response "We definitely want you to make an informed decision but we cannot help you until we know where you stand with credit"..... I just rolled my eyes, told him I'll go up the street, and left. HORRIBLE sales practices and they DO USE bait and switch TACTICS!!!! read more

I guess its my turn to help others. First let me say that everyone at Taylor Kia was very nice and dont blame them at all for the way Steve Taylor does business. So The Kia Rio in Dearborn Mi is $16 grand and change. Almost 17 grand. Taylor Kia not quite $23 grand. Short drive saves you thousands. Buy your Rio there. Sandusky has their Rio at $16 grand and change. Again short drive saves you thousands. Get your Rio there. Dayton which is a little longer drive but for 5 grand in savings is more then worth the trip. I wish I had done the research. I could have put another grand or two down and gotten the Rio at any of those places. If you look at Taylor Kia website it will say please call for price. You look at any of the others they will tell you what the price is. Taylor Kia in Findley is the same way. If they are not upfront on price on the website then lookout when you get there. I was told why the price was so high because of the chip shortage which clearly doesnt affect the other dealers because as I have stated they are all 16 grand and change. Taylor Kia is almost 23 grand and you would not know that because they dont post it on the website. 5 or 6 grand savings over the life of a loan you do the math. So there you are. Dont say I didnt tell you. You have that kind of money to throw away then good for you. I have alot of ideas why they jacked up the price. My humble opinion is its just a money grab. If there is such a shortage why are the other dealers coming close to MFRP? One last thing. I got a text shortly after my butt whipping saying that if I gave a 10 out of 10 review that I would be in the running for $100. Damn I just cant get a break. I do NOT recommend going to Taylor Auto for you vehicle needs. They donor back up what they say and are not there to help you out, they only seem to care about their commission checks. I've had a 2010 car for a month and a half and it needs a new engine. On top of that, they wanted to charge me to even just look at it. I went in for basic maintenance for my kia rio. I was quoted over the phone and received a confirming email for a price of aprox $90. When we got to the dealership we were told it would be $200. The old bait and switch. So shady. I even showed my appointment confirmation and pricing from their website and the service man, Joshua, said it still would be $200 and he didn't have enough info on what the "maintenance" involved. When I got home, I noticed there was a tab to click on that did bring up the details of my maintenance appointment. We did talk to the service manager who tried to smooth things over, but by that time they were so untrustworthy we just got an oil change an left. Frankly we should have left without any work being done, but we drove an hour to get there and at that moment I didn't want it to be a wasted trip. After looking around for a used car I found a little used Kia for $5000 in the Taylor Kia site, so I looked in to getting my current car appraised. I set up a time to take in my car and look at that used Kia. When I got there is was instantly greeted (11:15). The first thing that happened was not the appraisal or test driving the used car, they had set me up to get a loan before even looking at the cars. After asking if I can look at the used car, they pulled out a new car after I had said that I was not looking to buy a used car since it was out of my budget. After driving that new car, I requested to drive the used car and the salesperson said with disappointment that he would bring it around. After driving that car, I had requested that I get some numbers on the appraisal which was the original reason for my being there. I also had requested that I get my own car keys back, because after all I was not ready to buy a car (~12:30). He left and returned with no keys and replied that his manager suggested that I lease a car instead of buying. After test driving the lease car, I again asked for my keys back and for the amount that they appraised my car for (~1:30). He told me it would be a few more minutes for that appraisal, I again asked if I could get my keys back, which he had said "yes, of course". I was left alone for some time and he returned, not with my car keys, but with the application for a car loan for the lease (~2:00). I told him no multiple times that this was out of my price range and could not afford this car. I asked a few times for the price of the used Kia after I traded in my car. I still did not get the numbers that I wanted and had asked for my keys again (~2:30). At this point I was frustrated and just wanted to leave, about every few minutes I was asking for my keys. The manager came out to ask why I did not want to buy a car, I told him that I was not given the numbers that I wanted (the appraisal) and that I could not afford that car that he so clearly wanted to sell me. I asked him for my keys, and he walked away, took my keys off the wall and placed them somewhere else (~3:00). He came back and asked me again what it would take for me to buy a car, I had become clear to me that this guy was not going to let me leave with my car. After at least 15 minutes of me saying that I am not buying a car, I want to go home give me my keys, the manager finally caved in and gave me my keys and was able to leave around 3:30. Overall not a single person appraised or looked at my car, not a single person listened to what I was saying or was even willing to hear me out. After getting home I looked up what the manger had done and found that he is guilty of larceny and unlawful imprisonment, I regret not calling the cops when I did not get my keys back the first time. read more

Went to Taylor Kia 2 time now the first time was very long and the salesman wasn't very nice! Then just went back a couple of days ago to see if I could trade my vehicle in! I was there again for a very long time and still walk out with no new vehicle again! I heard on the radio station that this month they were giving up to $5,000 if you owed more then what your vehicle was worth! The salesman wanted to get me in a $40,000 Sorento but my car payment was gonna be $900 a month! Then they were gonna get me into a GMC Terrain which was $25,000 and $630 a month payment but there was more to this! See they were trying to put $6,500 on my new loan which means the GMC was now gonna cost me $31,500 and the banks wouldn't do that! Yes my credit score is bad but once again they were trying some funny stuff which made not want to return back to that place again and if anyone ask me about Taylor Kia I am definitely gonna tell them to go some where else! I have never had a worse experience at a retail 'store' in my entire life. I was put with the sales associate Gilbert and also dealt with financial 'expert' in the north-west corner office. They spent all day- offering me coffee and talking about nothing, only to change the paperwork at the last minute and didn't give me time to read what I was signing and they knew when I had to work, I feel very confident they did it on purpose. I was there for 3 hours- Gilbert would say one thing, then we'd go to the other office and the other guy would say another thing and then they would just look at me like I was stupid. I knew what car I wanted and I did my researched on the dealership website. They changed the APR by 4%, and the price by $4,000 and tried to get my to add on things I didn't agree to. They lied about the APR, the price, the 30 day grace period,the 'free' roadside assistance...they didn't like when I asked questions. Then when I saw that they changed the paperwork (which is a felony), they got nasty with me and denied everything. I'm a college educated gal, I know how basic math works. I called corporate, went to the police, and spoke to my attorney and was assure that this was a very serious matter. I have heard that this kind of issue with Taylor is not uncommon. Very dishonest and not very friendly. Now I have no confidence if they will even honor my 10 year 100,000 mile warranty...All I can say is if you ask questions they are going to talk down to you and laugh at you and roll their eyes, and if you look away for a minute, they will change the prices. Bring an attorney when you buy a car here, and make sure you have all day to sit and play their 'charm' game so you don't get rushed and snookered at the last minute , take an audio recording on your phone so you can prove what they said, and read the paperwork (not the computer screen) VERY CAREFULLY before you sign. If something doesn't feel right- LEAVE, there are lots of cars out there. Or take the paperwork home (if they'll let you) and spend a day to look it over. Ask Ask Ask even if they dissuade you. You should feel 100% informed and confident and the actual paperwork should reflect that BEFORE you sign. BEWARE! read more

My mother purchased a car from Taylor Hyundai in Perrysburg. She is 70 years old and went into the dealership last summer and the salesmen sold her a 2007 car and the selling price was 3000 over the blue book value. They also sold her a warranty for the care that was over 2000. Now she is paying a car payment that is over 300.00 a month on a retirement income. Then she found out a few months after the purchase that the car had engine problems but she is not able to pay the deductible to get the car fixed because she can barely afford the car payment. She went to the credit union to try and refinance the loan at a lower interests rate but was unable because the loan would be much higher than the car is worth. I had worked for multiple dealerships and literally not one has came close to how shitty of a place Taylor is. If you haven't got screwed over yet by them, congrats. But it's coming. I worked there from May to recently. I ended up walking out because the atmosphere between sexual harassment and abnormal mistreatment was too much for myself to handle. *Now, to be fair, I was warned of sexual harassment during my interview. I thought it was an odd thing to bring up but they weren't kidding* I was denied my final paycheck for June this past Monday. After being in contact with them since Monday, I was told they have decided to simply not give me the rest of my guaranteed salary for the month of June. I have played nice. I have put on a fake smile through all of the mistreatment I have endured since accepting the job. I now would like to get the word out there before anyone else becomes a victim of simply having this dealerships presence in their life in some way, shape or form. Just had a similar experience as many of the reviewers here. Wish I would have read the reviews first because it happened to me. Bought a pre-owned 2017 Altima, I was clearly told by Salesman (I won't leave his name although I should) that it would be a 6 year loan. It ended up being 75 months, not the 72 months. Partly my fault, did not check the papers that were handed to me quickly in the sales office, but I can honestly and 100% sure say that we agreed to a certain dollar amount per month at 6 years, not 75 months! I was never, ever told 75 months! I am sure they added the 3 months to get the money they wanted, not the price I wanted per month. I've emailed them to question this, they don't respond. Obviously they know what they did. I am sure it is a common technique and business practice for them. I would not recommend this place. IF you absolutely must buy a car here, make sure it's a rare car model you cannot get elsewhere and then be extremely careful. What they say is NOT what they do. Read every single line and don't take their word for anything. I also have excellent credit at nearly 800. I was pre-approved by my credit union for under 4.5% financing for 6 years, they gave me credit at nearly 6%. I was also not asked about the GAP insurance, just charged for it, nothing was explained on that. read more

Worst experience buying a used car I have ever had!! Very high pressured sales. My son was there looking to find his first used car to purchase. We gave them a price range of what he could afford. Only was shown & test drove one car. Sat for 3 hours while they said they were running his credit. Never would give me the price of the car we test drove. Just told us what kind of monthly payments they could do on it. Then salesman said we needed to go meet with another gentlemen which we assumed was going to tell us price of car and interest rates they could get him before making a final decision. No, they already had purchase agreement wrote up and was asking us to sign. When I was reluctant because of the high price on car the gentleman became very rude and said "you obviously haven't purchased a car lately!!". I assured the man I had & I didn't like how much they were charging above book value. He became very angry and said "fine, I am going to get your salesman back in here!" Salesman came back in and gave us big line of how we wouldn't be able to find anything better in this price range. By this time we had already spent 4.5 hours at Taylor and was ready to just leave so we signed and were offered to take car home that day. Car had not even been detailed since trade in and was a dirty, filthy mess! Told him we would return when done. Picked the car up two days later and it looked like a 2 year old had cleaned the interior. My son & myself had to spend an hour cleaning it ourselves when we got it home. I also am not happy with Huntington Bank to give a loan for such an over priced used car. Price was way over blue book price and I feel my son & I were taken advantage of because we were green on car purchasing and the gentleman we dealt with were mean and intimidating! Also had called to complain about our treatment at Taylor and was told a manager would call me within a day or two and no one ever called!! Poor customer service! read more

I went in today, to trade in my current vehicle for a new car. First off, the sales people were INCREDIBLY rude. One of them talked down to me. The other one looked like I was wasting his time. He appraised my car, and offered me 2k below market value for trade in, and said that they would be paying my loan off, and that they couldn't eat all the cost. First off, they DO NOT "pay it off" they tack it onto your loan, which I understand, but do not tell me you're taking care of it. Second, do not advertise that you "pay top dollar for trade ins" when clearly you do not. Apparently he thought I was some dumb woman coming in who knew nothing. I remember having a bad experience about 10 years ago there, but didn't remember why. Now I know. They literally refused to help me in any way. I ended up going to Grogan's Towne and they not only helped me with my trade in, but got me into a beautiful new car with payments that matched my current ones. See ya, Kia, I wont be seeing you in one though. if you don't want my business I certainly have no issue taking it elsewhere. AVOID this place at all costs! My husband and I drove over 3 hours to look at a truck at Taylor Kia. Upon arriving, our salesman was very unprofessional, running around like a chicken with his head cut off. He left us waiting at his desk for several minutes, several different times, with no real explanation as to what he was doing. When we went out to test drive the truck, it was absolutely filthy, both inside and out. The salesman's excuse for the filth was "the rain and it's a used vehicle." I've visited several dealerships before and have never encountered a used vehicle that was so filthy. When I ran my hand under the fenders of the vehicle, large amounts of dirt and sand fell from under the fender. The poor cleanliness of this used vehicle makes me think Taylor Kia does not place any time or care into the used vehicles they receive. We had called the dealership in advance to let them know we were coming to look at this specific vehicle and they did not even take the time to clean the vehicle. Taylor Kia has had this truck on their lot for over 100 days, so they should've had time to clean it. When my husband called the dealership and inquired about the truck, they stated the truck was in excellent condition and did not have any dents. When we looked at the truck, there was a large dent in the front passenger side fender, a dent in the tailgate, a large scratch on the driver's side door and the clearcoat was coming off of the rear bumper in two spots. The truck also needed new brakes and new tires. After test driving the truck, the salesman left my husband and I outside to discuss the vehicle. When we went to go back inside the dealership, the doors were locked as it was after six o'clock. It took several minutes for the salesman to realize we were locked out and my husband and I were both getting frustrated with the unprofessionalism of the dealership. We did go in to negotiate on the price of the truck as my husband and I felt it needed to be lowered since the truck had dents, scratches, was filthy, and needed new brakes and tires. The dealership attempted to trick us into thinking they had lowered the price, when really they price they presented us with was the current price of the truck plus sales tax. The sales manager would not negotiate on the price one cent, even though he had told my husband on the phone he would. The sales manager said they couldn't lower the price and we wouldn't find one as nice or as cheap within 500 miles. The sales manager even proceeded to call us after we had left asking why we had left so abruptly and saying they would sell the truck super fast with the price it was listed as - even though it has set on their lot for over 100 days. Taylor Kia is a joke for a dealership. Do not waste your time at Taylor Kia! My husband and I were able to find a beautiful truck for a great price at Dellen Dodge in Greenfield. We received excellent service and they were extremely professional, really putting Taylor Kia to shame even more. Chung saying they had someone interested in buying my older Kia and they would give me $4500 above appraised value plus $1500 towards a new Kia. I went totally just expecting to get an idea of what my trade in was worth and told the appointment setter that I didn't have time to play games as I would be coming on my lunch hour and only had a maximum of 45 minutes to spend. Once I handed Denrick (sales rep) the keys to my vehicle to get an appraisal I never saw them again. I was literally held hostage in the dealership even though I had repeatedly begged to have my keys back so I could get back to work I was just forced to sit as the scammers worked me over with prices of a new vehicle The worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership and they are all bad! Still waiting for the dealership to contact me about the issues. This place is BAD, do not spend a single second there. Shady characters with no ethics or morels, just greedy a$$holes that are only concerned with themselves. Mr. Taylor you should be ashamed and embarrassed but my guess is you are proud for teaching all of these dolts how to strong arm people and make the sale, because the bottom line is all that matters to you.
