It was time to schedule a service on my Chevy Tahoe. I called the online number for Yark Service and got a dead dial tone. I was quite frustrated and considered calling a different place. Purchasing a car through the sales team is easy, however I've had negative experiences with the finance team and service dept. The last time I leased they switched the price on me claiming my credit score was 30 points lower than it actually was, so they ran it again saying it wouldn't affect my credit report (but it did). Had to extended the terms of the lease to get to agreed upon monthly price. When buying my last vehicle in cash they kept pushing an extended warranty that I declined many times and then they wanted my husband and I to sign a blank form. That's actually illegal and grossly inappropriate for any financial person to request someone to sign a blank form. I wonder how many scams they run with those that do sign the blank forms. The service dept is a disaster. Made an appointment to have a recall issue fixed on my new Jeep along with a few other items. Told by advisor an appt doesn't mean they'll actually look at it then (what the hell is an appt for then?). Told him I needed my car back by the next day as I took the day off work and they didn't have loaners. Tried calling multiple times to no answer and was finally patched through to a more direct line only to be told they hadn't even looked at my car yet - 8 hours after dropping it off! We took the car to another authorized Jeep service center and they had every problem fixed within 5 hours because they actually schedule appointments for the work to be done, not just for someone to drop their car off and have it sit around all day for nothing. read more

The only person who knew anything and I could get an answer from is the used car salesman who sold me the car! Avoid this business. Scumbag mechanics. My wife brought in our vehicle to have an oil change and brake pads looked at. 10 minutes after dropping off the vehicle she gets a phone call stating she needs new brakes and it will be $1500.00. We asked what parts are being replaced. The response was the brakes. We again asked what parts are being replaced. He then stats that the rotors and pads need replaced and they will not replace the pads without also replacing the rotors. We tell them that there is no way because we have had the rotors replaced about a year ago. He then changes his demeanor and said the mechanic just came over and said nothing needs replaced. Then inspection report had the brake pads at 8-10 mm. 10mm is a brand new pad fyi. If my wife did not have the fortitude to question, we probably would have spent $1500.00 on work that did not need to be done. I'm curious if the would have even put any new parts in and just passed it off as completed work. read more

Worst online customer service I've ever experienced in my 40+ years of buying parts online. Defective part and absolutely no assistance in an exchange or refund. Having to dispute charge on credit card. Will be leaving a BBB review too. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! This part was ordered for a BMW M5 competition and it will have to be removed (as the defect wasn't and wouldn't have been noticed until it was installed) and will cost me a repaint of my trunk lid ($ Thousands) to fully correct (This is a limited edition 1 of 35 with a special "frozen" paint) Additionally, they claimed (after the order was delivered and part installed) that there is a "REQUIRED ADHESIVE" which they didn't disclose. They sent the adhesive after-the-fact for free as if they realized the mistake. Too little, too late. Why isn't that mentioned right on their site: Required part number x to go along with a high end carbon fiber rear spoiler? They tried claiming the BMW certified install shop should have known about this required adhesive and therefore, it isn't their problem, and they have denied any replacement, warranty, or offer of any kind. They attempted to hide behind the "Required Adhesive" yet the pictures sent to them as well as the Manager at the certified BMW auto body shop was willing to verify that the shell of the spoiler was separating from the piece that is actually adhered to the vehicle therefore the adhesive was a moot point as this was a defective part. Yark Parts Director, Royce King, made no effort to communicate/verify this with the manager of the certified BMW shop. I reached out to Jay Yark as well as requested John Yark's e-mail address. Those e-mails never received any reply. After I started a complaint with the BBB, they attacked my integrity and made several false statements in an effort to paint me as a bad guy. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?! They refused to discuss the defective part with the OEM Certified Repair Shop to verify my claim. The website says "Manufacturer Warranty" and "Fitment Guaranteed". That is a load of crap. FWIW: Out of the 92 "managers" they show on their site, 3 of them are female. I get that the auto industry generally appeals more to Men but 89 to 3 at their place?? Hmmmm??? And then when I took it back 2 days after getting it they gave me the run around about fixing it saying because the problem wasn't happening to them that they could do nothing about it. We were extremely disappointed with the customer service when looking at their only Chevy EV on the lot. The supply of EVs these days is extremely low, but that is no excuse for poor service. The car came with $2000 of "mandatory extras" which we did not need including an additional exterior coating and interior textile finishing/protection. The sales person said Yark automatically adds some set extras before they are shown. The mandatory extras also included a $400 plan with things as free car washes. We were not interested in this at all. We were so disgusted with these add-ons that we did not take notes, so confirm with Yark on the details. We also were not allowed to test drive it off the lot. He said insurance reasons... We understand this is a low profit item. But tacking on extras as these is disrespectful to say the least. We ended up at Snyder's in Napolean where we test drove on highway & city, got only the "mandatory extras" we wanted. Obviously Yark does not want or need our business! And they will undoubtedly prosper without us or with this review. ---- Our 5 star review where we bought our car later that week Our recent purchase of a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV 2LT went quite well at Snyder Chevrolet in Napoleon, Ohio. The salesman, Aaron, was very knowledgeable, considering he told us this was his first sale of an EV. He described some of what he learned when he accompanied us on a lengthy test drive under highway and city conditions. He then made sure we knew all the features to enable us to safely drive our "pride and joy" back to Toledo. We appreciated being able to complete our purchase at MSRP pricing with no costly unwanted mandatory add-ons. Also, the Summit White color was "icing on the cake" because it was exactly what we wanted. Kudos to Snyder Chevrolet and Aaron for everything. We hope to go back to them when we switch out of our Chevy Cruze for the Equinox EV in 2024 or 2025. read more

He ran my credit I saw that on credit wise.BUT HE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. Which means, I took a hit on my credit for absolutely no reason. Thank you, Yark. Here is the letter that I sent to their on-line team: Hi- I am impressed with your communication team. I read another response that your staff published. Great work! HOWEVER.... your used car department needs education. I do not recall the salesman's name. I made the call Saturday, May 1 at 11:53 AM (in case you want to pull the call). If you pull the call, you will hear me tell the salesperson about my credit. If he wasn't interested in working with me, knowing my credit up front, it would have been better to say so immediately. Because he did not.... I took a hit to my score, adding another strike to a bad situation. He accomplished NOTHING. If he had handed me off, great. He didn't. The way this guy chose to handle the situation was poor. From a financial standpoint for ME, he put another black mark on an already blemished credit report. From a business standpoint, he lost a sale, and with today's social media, a whole lotta negativity will/may be on the internet. Take this opportunity to educate your staff. However, fast forward to two years later, we needed thd code number to our Jeep stereo because we upgraded the original stereo and sold the original stereo. I called Yark, and the woman on the phone was a bit "nasty" to me. I was inquiring how to obtain the code number because we sold the original stereo, so the buyer needed it so that he could install it into his vehicle. My husband showed up to this establishment with a photo ID and insurance card as proof of ownership of the Jeep. The receptionist, Tracy, acted as if my husband was being a nuisance to her! Tip: Hire people that want to help others...not ones with a puss on their face and act like YOU are disturbing their day! I see that you have defended inappropriate behavior...which is very common from upper management and on down. Sorry...but Tracy's attitude was unacceptable...she fails in my book and needs to own it! Stop defending rudeness. That in itself is ugly. My husband and I deal with public all the time, so we definitely know how to treat others wirh courtesy and respect. However I really really needed a car mine was leaking everything. In 1986 I bought my first car from KC Stengle at Yark auto group on central Av. In toledo oh. I was shocked to find out he was still there and was very excited to be working with me again. And since I've known him over 30 years I thought I could trust him after all he told me he was a fellow Christian. Long story short I bought a car that for some reason does not fit my body I have been in pain from my hips all the way up to to my ears neck, back,shoulders, elbows, upper, middle, lower back. I called the very next morning had the car about 12 hours. He told me to bring it back that he probably had a couple of vans that I could look at to swap out. That never happened: as a matter of fact I believe he had no intention of doing right by me and putting me in something else. He said he would give me $4,000 for a $10,000 car he just sold me the day before. I got to thinking and I knew I was going to lose money so I said with the $3,000 I put down and the $1,000 you gave me for my trade in plus the four thousand for this car you sold me it should be about $8,000 but no they kept my $4,000 and sent me on my way they acted like I never even gave him any money at all. Bought an 18k used BMW 550 from Yark, they were shady from the beginning. Had the car for 6k miles less than 5 months. The timing, lifters and engine went out. 12.5K to replace timing and lifters or 9.5 K for a new engine. Yark said those engines are recalled from BMW it should be no problem. It isn't and Yark will do nothing to help. Avoid this dealership at all costs. They were shady and continue to be. Now I'm stuck with a paperweight. Wife went all along the Central Avenue Strip checking out car dealers. She stopped at the used lot for Yark and they seemed friendly and knowledgeable. We got a ton of information and knew what we were thinking in terms of a vehicle/what we wanted to spend. A year later, I'm now stuck with a giant hunk of metal. I've had to take the thing from mechanic to mechanic and each one of them said that someone has done work to this thing to cover up something. It wasn't listed on the Car Fax, either. It seems criminal. I would not recommend. Speaking of, when we were going through the buying process, they offered incentives like a few hundred bucks off if we put up a good review of our experience online (I think it was Yelp, but I don't remember). So be careful. They're padding their bad reviews to make themselves look better. Quick Lube techs are ultra friendly "the one under the finance office off central" but my only complaint is the seating in the waiting room. I understand going to for the contemporary look but WOW is it uncomfortable. I have to remain hunched over the entire time because these couches and love seats have ZERO back-support for anyone over 4' 2". Several other people in here currently agree and are opting out for the cheap plastic chairs that at least have a back to them. If you are gonna to keep these not so relaxing pleather seats you should provide some pillows! Lol read more

Horrible Alfa/Fiat service department, went there several times and always had major hassles; from booking the appointments, to waiting weeks for service, to poor service by the reps, it was always awful. Just went in yesterday for a scheduled appointment, and was abruptly told THE DEALERSHIP CLOSED PERMANENTLY OVERNIGHT, AND THEY WERE NO LONGER SERVICING ALFAS! NO forewarning, NO letters, NO phone calls, NOTHING! I go across the street for some answers, and sure enough, the Fiat and Alfa Romeo signs are all gone and the building is empty. When I finally found someone to give an earful to, he told me that yes they closed down suddenly, and none of the employees were told about it either. They just shrugged and told me "sorry there is nothing we can do for you". When I called Alfa Romeo to complain, they said each dealership is independently owned and operated, so there is nothing they could/would do either. Now I, and everyone else in the Toledo area, have Alfas and Fiats which cannot receive service of any kind without going to north Detroit or Cleveland. Hope no one gets a break down. Thanks, Yark! HORRIBLE place to purchase a car! This was my third purchase with them, and each purchase just got worse & worse! I shouldn't have never went back, but I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt & not allow the inadequacy of the service dept. to be the sole reason I never return. However, this time my salesman & the service dept. collectively disappointed me! So.. here's the story.. unfortunately I'm a what you call a impulse buyer...smdh... unfortunately one day I decided I'll just cruise the used car parking lot & see what they have. I found a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I instantly fell in love with for 26,000 dollars! That was a pretty decent price since they normally start at 31,000. Since my credit score is in the high 700 and I had a car to trade in with possible money to put down if need be i felt like I had a great chance of getting this SUV. With that being said I tried to ask for a few request to accommodate my purchase which was 6000 instead of the 5000 they were offering for my trade, a new set of tires, oil change, my drone from my current car removed, the scratch on the side mirror to be painted, and the brakes fixed. All my request were met with a No, but they agreed to authorize the service dept to "check out the brakes". So even though I was disappointed with his response, I figured passing up this SUV at such a decent price wasn't worth it. Plus the sales rep INSISTED nothing was wrong with the SUV because it had went through its "125 point inspection with the seal of approval on it". BS.... anyways.. I accepted the deal, signed the paperwork, and ended up with a payment 200 dollars over what I was interested in paying..smdh...i reallyyyy wish I would have just said no deal and walked out, but at this point hours later I just was ready to go. So I took my new vehicle home, FINALLY got some rest, and woke up a few hours later in total disbelief at the multiple foolish choices i made. Trying to suck it up and just be happy with the arraignment I go to the website to screenshot a picture of the vehicle I just purchased to show my mom, when I realize there was a identical SUV on the used lot with better features for a little bit more than what I agreed to. I instantly messaged the salesman requesting to trade the vehicle I have for the other one (exactly 7 hours later), the rep says No. So I try to recover my trade (since it was already paid off, I soon realize it was unwise to trade it in), he said No. I asked to give $5000 cash instead of the trade, he said No. So oh well..i just accepted that it is what it is. . I had to bring the car back in order for the service dept to look at it, which took a few days. Eventually, I finally get the green light to take it to the service dept, and they confirm that the brakes are bad (Despite this lieng seal of approval that was on the car..), however.... they only replace the rotors... even tho brake pads & rotors go hand & hand. Once I finally get the car back I realize something is going on with the back right tire now and it had a mildew odor coming from somewhere. So I inform the sales dept & the salesman. Finally get the green light to return it. Was suppose to take the car in on a Friday, but i dropped it off in the night drop Thursday night instead. So they can start on it right away. I get a call Friday evening of the work that was done, and that the car was ready. I ended up finishing what I was in the middle of, and when I called shortly after they were closed. So Saturday morning I head up there bright and early, only to find out that there is no work order in for this second service visit & my key is no where to be found! I stayed up there for a little over an hour calling the Service manager, the service dept worker that I left my keys with (since he wasn't in) , and the sales rep who sold me the car only to get the run around! Never got to speak to the manager even though I left several messages & texted him repeatedly! Never got any assistance from the sales rep, but a bunch of dumb questions, and a true inconvenience. I didn't get my car back until MONDAY & it still had a odor! I had just got a ceramic wrap wax job done on the car the day I got it back the first time (the appointment would have cost me to cancel, so I kept it even though I had to take it back to the service dept), mind you this was a $500 ceramic ceramic coating job, that went to waste because while the service dept had the car it sat outside for four days until they found the key! I'm extremely dissatisfied & disgusted and will NEVER do business with them again! Unfortunately, since I'm under warranty with them any issues I have i will have to take it to them & just deal with it, but hopefully this info will help someone else. read more

Played the Man-behind-the-Curtain game, and negotiated an out-the-door price with Salesman (Let's call him "Bo".) He was even nice enough to text us the exact price. Spouse#1 had to leave the dealership for a thing. Spouse#2 closed deal with Finance Manager (just a second salesman in your process, but worse). He was a persistent kid, who no longer works there. Heavy sales pressure for additional coverages, plenty of "monthly payment" talk, and drawn out to weaken Spouse#2. Papers were signed. Ethos Maintenance, Select 2, Extended Service, Gap Waiver coverages totaled $6225.00 extra, PLUS 451.31 in sales tax. $6676.31 more than the out-the-door price. 05/06/2017 "Additional Coverage" Cancellation papers were signed. We were told 8 to 10 weeks for refund. Months passed, no refund. We stopped by, called our Salesman (B), another Finance Manager (AM), and Finance Director (DjS), all of whom never returned the calls. 09/11/2017 One Angry phone call worked! Refund applied to loan, but no refund on sales tax. Times have changed at YARK and your business conduct is sad. Tom Draheim, come back! How many times can you drop the ball? Great experience purchasing a vehicle. The atmosphere is great and the people are really nice. On the other hand, don't ever get an oil change package with them because it takes 3 hours every time you need an oil change. read more
