    Baked oysters
    Linh N.

This place was unreal. I dunno why it took me so long to visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love how you're right next to the water. Love the ocean smell.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think I'm spoiled with so many options in Seattle. This was such a nice treat. Was visiting my friend and she took me here for drinks and oysters. I honestly enjoyed everything we ordered. Fat bastard and virginica are now my favorite kind of oysters haha. They were so fresh and little plump and soo good haha. Staff was super friendly. The pickled herring was amazing! Tart and so refreshing. Nice change from the baked oysters. Those were on the richer side. I can see why so many people visit here. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sitting by the water and eating seafood literally transport you some where else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So get the frozen Pinot! So yummy!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty nice place to dine in. Just chill and relax.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All the staff are friendly and full of smile. When I got there the line was pretty long, but it was not a long wait. I was seated pretty fast since lots of seating inside. This restaurant sells oysters mostly, not lots of choices. If you like oysters, this is where you wanna go. I ordered 4 different raw oysters, shrimps, and smoked fish (tuna is what they offered for the day). Oysters were good; smoked fish was okay; shrimps had no flavor. I just hope, at least there is clam chowder - considering there are not many food choices. I may still come, I'm just expecting few more choices to satisfy my pallete :)

Solid lunch and the reason for a drive north. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always a great place, and picked the perfect day. Weather was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Slow late lunch crowd, and pretty quiet out on the patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was good, got served pretty quickly, once we got assigned to our table. The grilled oysters showed up pretty late. As we were basically done with our meal and drinks. Oysters were flavorful and very fresh, as they farm them 100 yards from the restaurant. The sourdough bread was amazing, should have bought a loaf.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice views staff was great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered two shuckers dozen, bread, and a salad. The bread came with butter but the bread was ice cold. Wish there was more warm dish options. Oysters were great , when we order another person came up and said that he was missing 3 from his dozen order as well. When we received ours we were under the impression it would be a more of a variety but there were only 3-4 vs the 8-9 they offer. We also only received 23 not 24. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall nice views, and make sure to count your oysters[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Shucker's dozen, geoduck crude, and smoked fish

This was an awesome stop I made while visiting Seattle and the surrounding area. The oysters were all phenomenal (ordered the mix/Shuckers dozen) as well as the smoked fish and geoduck! This was my first time trying geoduck and I thoroughly enjoyed it- The sauce they top this with is delicious! Definitely would recommend giving this dish a try if you have not tried geoduck before. Was very clean and fresh with a slight chew- very similar to conch in my opinion. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very picturesque and I would highly recommend making a stop if you are in this area- was well worth the drive and worth spending a few hours to check out their shellfish farm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is definitely on the pricier side, but felt the prices were fair given how fresh/high quality the food was as well as how busy/popular this place truly was- there was a line out the door when we stopped in, and now definitely understand why. Looking forward returning next time I am in the PNW and would highly recommend to anyone!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is just a beautiful spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had came here with friends a couple weeks back, and still want more! You walk in and we had stood in line for maybe 10 minutes before we could order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And it wasn't too cold outside. They had heaters that helped keep warm while waiting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The server was very friendly and had good recommendations. We ordered a dozen of 4 different types of oysters, an order of crab, shrimp, and a chowder of some sort. The food came out pretty quick especially having every single oyster shucked by hand. The food was delicious, it all came in a tray with ice, and plated beautifully. There was a couple different sauces and they went really well with everything.

    The view!

Did we have a gift card? Yes. Would we have paid regardless? Yes. Had a dozen shuckers choice, chili butter baked oysters, a few giant shrimp, and corn chowder with geoduck. Couple glasses of bubbles as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Knowledgeable staff, unpretentious vibe, delicious food, unbeatable views.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you like their oyster bars in the city - make the drive. Lots of great things up north! 10/10 will return.

    All killer, no filler.

Taylor is more than oysters, crab, and geoduck crudo washed down with delicious drinks. Taylor is part of the fabric of the Puget Sound. Honest , delicious and strong, I'm not sure what else one could ask for?

Tldr: be prepared for a long wait to get inside but then refills are faster and the oysters are the best you'll have. People on the hill (up or down) have right of way on the driveway. We were a bit nervous when we had to park towards the end of the driveway (be careful driving down! It's one lane and some people don't read the signs about yielding). It was about 50 minutes (arrived at 1:30) from when we got in line to when we received your oysters. The line got longer as we waited but by the time we left (3:15) it was almost gone. When they have enough staff, you can go straight up to the oyster shucking bar to order a drink for while you wait. If you don't want to wait, you can go to the retail store and purchase something but you will have to shuck the oysters yourself and you will not be able to sit at a table (we saw this policy enforced, which I appreciated being someone that waited in line). Food: I am not an oyster person but I would eat these again. They have good descriptions of each type at the entrance but have less available on hand. My favorites were the Kumamoto. Note you have to pay for and order hot sauce separately! For non oyster eaters, they have a few options: shrimp, crab, rice, bread, salad. But the oysters are the standout! Prices are not any cheaper here vs a restaurant in Seattle but this is a great experience!

A great spot for oysters that's well worth the drive. Parking is limited and on dirt or gravel depending on where you end up parking. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get crowded during certain hours so you may have to walk a little bit from where you park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have bother indoor/covered seating and outdoor patio seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When you arrive, you stand in a single line to order and are given a table after you pay. If you finish your food and want to order more after, they have a separate station within the dining area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The view is nice, even at low tide.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is on the more mediocre side. Our party had questions when ordering but were not really given any helpful answers. The person taking the orders also appeared to get increasingly frustrated every time a question was asked. The salad was very underwhelming. It was very over seasoned and overdressed for my personal taste, but the lettuce was very fresh. The grilled oysters had good taste to them. When we received the tray of shucked oysters, the person who delivered them said he didn't know which ones were which, but if we liked them just bring the shells of whichever ones you liked over and they could probably identify them from there. They tasted great nonetheless and the price is very good for what you get. It's worth the drive for the oyster quality and it's fun to read about all of the different oysters that they have.

Stopped by on a Wednesday for a late lunch (~1pm). Both outdoor and indoor seating, with great views of the water. The seats closest to the water were occupied, but we found a nice bar-height table. Small parking lot, with plenty of parking available along the long gravel path parallel to the railroad tracks. Shucker's dozen ($37) - don't fully remember what the oysters/names were even though the waitress identified them, but of varying sizes, all fresh. Come with couple slices of lemon and a mignonette sauce (vinegar + shallots). Geoduck crudo ($18) - quite tasty and large in quantity. Pickled herring ($12) - tasty with seedy crackers as the herring vehicle. Wasn't the expected pickled herring, rather a pickled red onion flavor. Also got a beer (~$7) + glass of wine (~$15) - wish we skipped drinks, and opted for more food. Saw a promo if you sign up for their email newsletter, can get 10% off. Separate counter if you want to buy unshucked oysters for cheaper. I asked for extra ice for the drive back to Seattle, which the employee obliged to. This made the drive more worth (cheaper price), especially if buying in bulk. Overall, worth stopping by here if you're near the area, interested in buying unshucked oysters, etc in bulk, or NEED to eat by the water. 4 stars for the restaurant side, and 5 stars for the market portion. Pricey, idyllic, and fresh.

I have been looking forward to this experience for years and it did not disappoint. Walking up, you're immediately greeted by the smell of salt and ocean with the perfect PNW vibes. The parking is a bit challenging to get to but promise it is worth it. We got in line to order immediately and I'm glad we did because by noon this place was packed, even in the rain! While in line you can see everyone shucking oyster fresh to your left. We made it to the counter and ordered the Shuckers Dozen, Geoduck Sashimi, Smoked Fish and a few drinks. We were sat under a tent (due to the light rain) outside and had a great view. Our food arrived quickly and I loved every single bite. We received 3 different types of oysters that were all delicious and unique. The Geoduck Sashimi has been on my bucket list to try and while I enjoyed it, the very mild flavor and slightly rubbery textured would prevent me from ordering again. The smoked fish on the other hand was incredible, would definitely get again! If I lived in the area I would be here once a month. Between the perfect oysters, the beautiful view, and the excellent service, this place is something special.

    Oysters (36)
    Roben B.

A little over an hour out of SEA/TAC but absolutely worth it! Food: The Oysters were about as fresh as they could be and served raw or grilled. The variety in their selection was appreciated and they explained each variety that was ordered when they served us. The line can get pretty long, but once you've ordered for the first time, they have a re-order station for parties currently seated, so there is no pressure to over order. It's a basically a large shack nestled on the edge of the water and parking can be a bit tough as you'll have to park adjacent to an active train track. The inside is very bare bones, but very comfortable. You're able to sit facing the water or indoors, but either way there is plenty of shade. If you like Oysters and happen to fly into the area I'd definitely recommend coming here!

Are oysters safe to eat now? the WA Dept of Health issued alerts earlier

Their alerts are specific to certain beaches & locations. They have fresh oysters from all over and I'm sure they are picky. Call ahead to see what they have.

    Is there handicap parking?

Yes -I believe if you drive all the way down through the entrance.

Any tips for the best experience? Best time of day to go? Do I need to get there early? Does it get super busy? Planning to go on a Friday or Saturday in November.

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor eating space?

I believe so, I recall seeing some people brought their dogs and I visited when they had outdoor patio dining only!

Can you bring dogs if you choose outdoor seating?

Yes you can. They will also bring your dog a bowl of water.

Are you able to bring outside drink/food still for the picnic area?

No you are not. You can bring a bag of charcoal to bake your purchase shell fish if you want to bake them outside.

Hi, I saw this road down to Taylor Shellfish and it being a one lane road, what happens if a car is coming up when you are going down???…

You stop at the start of the road and look. Anyone coming up should stop at the start of the one lane and look. If there is a car, you do not proceed until that car has cleared the path. Simple courtesy goes a long way.

    Is it byob?

No - outside food and beverage is not allowed. The prices are reasonable for draft beer and wine though.

The first was my birthday last year, chosen by a friend (I'd never heard of it). This year I was asked where I wanted to go. I did not hesitate to say here! I couldn't be anything other than delighted in my decision--from the pleasantness inside, the wonderful view from our window, the delightful staff and the incredible food and drinks, this place is wonderful. Lucky me that my birthday was on a Wednesday so I could be totally influenced to have oysters-on-the-half shell due to a generous Wednesday night special. I do love raw oysters--and these were so tiny and briny and so incredibly good, I could have eaten five dozen! (I am kicking myself for not finding out what kind they were, but no matter. I would be happy with any they are serving here, I am sure.) I had already planned on having the Oysters Rockefeller (known here as Manor Rockefeller), and so, despite having just downed some oysters, I went ahead anyway and am glad I did! They were wonderful. And there was no real reason for me to pause for a moment in my decision, having already had oysters, because these were soooooo different. It was almost like eating a delicious oyster casserole in a shell. The Mediterranean Mussels were wonderful! (Notice, I was having a dinner of appetizers...) The broth they came in was beautiful (and drinkable, if one were so inclined). I loved the surprising tastiness of the Mama Lil's Peppers swimming around in it. At first I wondered if they would be too hot and compete with the flavor--overwhelming it--but no! Not at all. They were a perfect and flavorful touch. Absolutely wonderful. (And having said that, I know that "pepper heat" is an individual thing--I can tolerate a goodly amount, fyi--I just didn't taste these as hot at all.) Our server, Drew, was immensely helpful (and always charming!) He paired our food with a delicious wine. I guess we would assign my bowl of clam chowder to the dessert category--very thick and creamy--along with a lovely after-dinner cocktail, made by the wonderful and delightful bartender, Sherry. She made me a lovely mocktail to start--I asked Drew to have the bartender just make something up on a whim. It was pretty, colorful and delish with what in it, I have no idea. But, not only was it delectable, it was a vision! All festive and fuchsia, with a "bartender's cherry," and a hot pink umbrella. When I learned Sherry made it, I was so happy because I remembered her from last year--very skilled and very fun to chat with. A wonderful birthday--I highly recommend the Manor.
