6/7/2026 this place is known for good food tonight. I wasn't real happy. Pork chops were overcooked baked potato was overcooked, but the worst part about the experience was flies. They were just a couple bothering us a little bit up until the time our food hit the table and then there was a dozen or more that just would not leave us alone. It was ridiculous. We could not enjoy our food. We actually had to cover the food and just uncover it enough to get a bite or the flies. Would be on it if they would have been that bad before the food came I would've left. It makes me wonder how bad they were in the kitchen. I hope they find a solution for this. read more

Went to Taylors early for their Ribeye. Three of us ordered the Ribeye and all had the same comment. I believe because we were early they had just started the grill. All three steaks tasted like charcoal lighter fluid. We were disappointed and did not finish them. The fix is don't go early. Pricey for what you get but expect quality meal. read more

Took my wife to eat here. Wife and I both ordered the steak and she got fries while I wanted baked potato. We got our steaks in decent time and looked good. Almost 10 minutes later we got our sides. So we got to eat cold steaks and hot sides. When I said something to the waitress she just said "yeah that's the way it is sometimes" At almost $30 a plate I don't think getting it at the same time and hot is to much to expect. I have been going here for many years. Sad to see it going downhill so fast with new owners. May stop in for a sandwich once in a while but definitely won't be ordering steak there till they get things lined out!!! read more

Went there last night. Steaks are mediocre at best particularly if you don't want a lot of meat. Lots of fat and gristle. Ray Charles must be their meat purchaser. Not a lot of flavor. Cook doesn't seem to know temperatures either. If you order medium it will either be rare or medium rare. Half our party had to sent steaks back to cook. Wait staff is ok. Broccoli cheese bites are good. If I ever go back I'll get the pork chops. read more

We stopped here for lunch after seeing Azalea Path. It's an old building and when you walk in you smell stale cigar smoke that has settled into the paneled walls. The floors could use a good strip, there is buildup and the bathroom, while not smelly is rather run down. We got the last 2 servings of chicken fettuccine Alfredo which came with garlic toast and a side. It was good, nothing spectacular. The salad consisted of shredded iceberg lettuce with a slice of cucumber, one grape tomato and shredded American cheese on top. Not a bad meal, but nothing to write home about. The price for this was $8.99, but the regular menu items can get pretty pricey. $3.50 for fries/wedges/waffle fries, $5 to make your sandwich a basket. Drinks are $2.25 I think. read more

Casual dining experience. You walk in and it is just typical old Indiana. We arrived around 6pm and it was filling up! Just find a table and sit down. Service was prompt and friendly. My husband ordered to ribeye steak. It was perfectly done. It came with a salad, potato and Texas toast. It was huge and filled the plate. I ordered the bone in pork chop. Delicious! I thought the Ribeye was great. Everyone loved the meals until the cigarettes started lighting up everywhere around us. Thank god we were done eating and go out of there before it was a smoke factory. I would never take kids here based on the smoke. Maybe going in at 4:30 is the perfect plan to avioid the mass smoke and lines. read more

Huge steak ? Absolutely. . . . Good steak ? NO. Our steak that was supposedly cooked over charcoal was more like a big hunk of steamed meat. Grilled steak should have grill / charring marks and flavor. Not our first visit to this place, Anybody can get a marginal steak from a restaurant, It happens. The HUGE steak and pork chops there are beyond amazing!!! If you want great customer service this is not the place to go but the food is worth it. If you have kids I would sit in the family room and not in the area by the bar because people will obviously be drinking and smoking. Great steaks and great food. 20oz steak for $19.95 with a baked potato and Texas toast. Cheap Food, Great Food, Big Food. It also had a nice family atmosphere with a great wait staff and great cooks. Your waited on almost immediately. But I suggest you go during the week because Friday and Saturday is always packed. Quite disappointing. We started with the sampler platter of appetizers. At over $6.00 I expect something but what we got was very little of something. A small plate was served with a couple of waffle fries, about 6 French fries, 2 over cooked mozzarella sticks ( exploded cheese), 2 breaded mushrooms, 2 jalopeno poppers and 2 broccoli cheddar balls. This was very sloppily dumped on the plate. We moved on to entrees. My husband and I had ribeye steaks. Yes, they were large cuts of meat, but there was a lot of gristle in both steaks and they were both very tough. I ordered mine medium rare and my husband ordered medium. My steak barely saw the grill and was raw. My husband's was medium rare. In addition, there was zero effort in seasoning these steaks...no salt or pepper. Disappointing to say the least. My father in law had the pork chops. Again, no seasoning and over cooked to the point of shoe leather. My daughter had shrimp poppers. They were barely warm and half had the tails on! She had to carefully dig through the breading to find the tail....gross. She gave up after eating only half. The baked potatoes were OK, but were supposed to be served with sour cream and butter. The sour cream had separated and the "butter" was actually Country Crock not butter. The meals were also served with a Texas toast type bread...it was cold and devoid of seasoning. In the end, I had about 5 bites of steak, 2 ended up in my napkin because I could not chew the gristle down enough to swallow it. I should have read the steak disclaimer that said you couldn't complain about the amount of fat in the steak, but I wished it would have said gristle also. I did take the raw steak home, microwave it, cut it up with kitchen shears and feed it to my chickens along with the bread and potato skins. That is some pretty expensive chicken food. My advice would be to stay away from this place. read more

Had a terrible experience here on 3/07/2012. The steak I ordered was the toughest piece of meat I ave ever been served anywhere! I thought I might break the knife trying to cut it, or break a lose some teeth trying to chew even a small sawed-off bite. The waitress said there was nothing she could do. She called the owner who said the same thing. No alternate entree, no accomodations on the bill, NOTHING. So, for my $21.00 bill, I got a completely inedible disgusting steak, a salad, a baker potato and a piece of burned Texas toast. Will never go back and do not advise anyone to take a chance. So much for trying to patronize small businesses. By the way, we also drove from out of town to specifically go here for a special birthday dinner. Very disappointed with the lack of attention to customer satisfaction. Called back today to speak to owner, "she may be back tomorrow." Is there anyone there in charge?
