I used to board my pet here, but stopped when I was sued by the owner Laura. She called me twice on vacation to tell me my dog was involved in the injury of two different dogs in two different incidents. She specified the dogs were playing rough, but no growling or barking or aggressive behavior was involved(and she failed to separate or crate any of them). She discovered that her insurance was no good, so she chose to sue me to cover damages. When we arrived in court she became dishonest and indicated my dog bit the two dogs at the same incident, and that I was in violation of the contract because I did not pay vet bills for the injured dogs. I claimed negligence but negligence could not be used in a contract violation lawsuit. Once you drop your pet off, anything can happen. She is not responsible (and has demonstrated dishonesty) and can claim it is your fault...you won't be there to claim anything different! Buyer beware! Update Nov 2015...It only gets worse with this situation... Keep reading if you are thinking of boarding your pet here. Not only can your animal get hurt, but you might be sued for the bills!! I was legally required to pay court costs for this business suing me. I set up a payment plan and notified them as the clerk told me without their attorney specifying', that it would be up to me. I set up a plan to pay in 4 installments and began making payments through bill pay. After she received her first installment she sent the check back and informed me she would be petitioning the court to garnish my wages. For someone who claims to be religious and good, she sure is evil. I am just hoping hat Karma intervenes in the near future...maybe it already has but will take time to reveal itself...

My 11 month old dog was in an emergency facility throughout the weekend, where she tested positive for Parvo. When the emergency hospital closed on Monday morning, we needed to transfer her to another daytime facility. Our normal vet was unable to take her, because their parvo unit was full. We called multiple vets, and no one would take her. AVC was willing, and saw her within 20 minutes. Within an hour we had a treatment plan, and our girl was admitted. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately with a private room to keep her isolated, and the staff was SO kind. Our sweet pup made a miraculous recovery, and was released within a day and a half. We thought we were going to lose our girl, and AVC helped save her life. Thank you all so much for your kindness, compassion, and attention to our pup. We will be forever grateful.

(We had a tricky eye problem that was solved by U of I with medication.) They also do some basic surgery and their prices are fair. We have boarded our dog several times at Associated Veterinary Clinic and have been very happy with her care. She comes home healthy and happy. They never seem in a hurry when you go in for a yearly visit or a need based visit. I really appreciate that! I have received many personal calls from Dr. Ryan over the years checking on our Stella. We really appreciate being able to interact with her over the phone when working with a medical issue.

I asked if they do chest taps, She said "no" & to go to the U of I. I then asked if they at least would be able to euthanize my cat to help end her suffering since she had been going through this disease since December of 2016. I knew something was obviously wrong & knew right away by how she was talking to me on the phone that she was blowing me off but I dismissed it as her possibly having one of her "ladies days" as to give her the benefit of the doubt & told her I would call back on Monday, 2/13/17 and hung up. On 2/13/17, I called Eureka Veterinarian Clinic back. Kris/Chris answered the phone & I politely said hello and gave my Name to her once again again, then told her I was calling back as she said to do on Friday 2/10/17 to find out what it would cost to have my cat euthanized and could I come in. I simply just want to have the convenience of going to a vet that is close to me." She then told me in a mean voice, "we can't help you", then said "I'm going to have to terminate this call". I literally could not believe it!! I am begging a vet to help my animal that's suffering, literally begging!, I simply wanted to do the humane thing to end my cats suffering and here I am being turned away and for no reason! I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I was discriminated against and cannot understand for the life of me, why. Kris/Chris refused to answer me when I would ask her why she was refusing to help me. How they can refuse to help humanely end the suffering of an animal that is sick when I am willing to pay is beyond ignorant. This just showed me that the Veterinarians oath means absolutely nothing to these people! While searching his property he kept talking about how this has never happened and really wasn't helpful in looking just followed my boyfriend around talking. It just didn't feel right. When we told him the county sheriff was coming out he ordered us off of his property. We had to park on a side road while police were there. He refused to let the police search his home. My son paid eye in the sky drone to fly overhead his property the next morning then Kurt texted saying he found our dog but never told us where. My son went out to pick our baby up for us and I started receiving very rude messages from Kurt saying I can write what I want in Facebook and told me I will get what I deserve from God & karma and that I have psychological problems and need help. My boyfriend went back out to get the story from him on where he found her and ask about the texts. Yes we were clearly emotional while this was taking place but we didn't behave any differently than anyone else would. There is another review that this has happened before and he wouldn't help the guy look for his dog. The man sent it to me on Facebook as a screenshot.
