Taim on 57th Street in Manhattan is next door to my office. I can order and pick up in minutes. After my first order, I realized I had an account because they keep offering me free items almost daily. They have a wrap that's chicken, or beef and lamb, in lavash (flat bread) with many toppings (you can choose some or all). That comes with a sugar-free soda. It's a great lunch deal for $10. Counter staff are friendly and efficient. I recommend the tabouli and the beet salad. read more

Haven't visited yet, but they need to update their website to remove closed locations. I was able to find one on Broadway near Bryant Park but it is closed forever. They were supposed to open one in New Brunswick NJ last year but there are no updates. No response to website inquiries. read more

This place used to be amazing but these days the food has changed and the quality isn't what it used to be. Order notes were not listened to and items are over fried and burnt. I was also given the wrong order several times. I think there is a huge disconnect between the kitchen and the customer and people who take your order. I wish this place would get it together because I think this is one of the best falafels in the city. read more

There should be a disclaimer stating that this is a vegetarian eatery. It's a to-go spot with very limited narrow counter seating. Aside from the fact that I needed to order two dishes in order to be satisfied, it wasn't bad at all. However, taim is definitely lost in a sea of iterative Mediterranean food. Everything came out to be average at best. I had the "OG" Pita and a bowl with "whatever." The falafel was above the Chicago lunch tier, the golden eggplant had a nice meatiness to it. The pita and hummus quality was meh (much worse than Omar's, for example). The accoutrements worked since I was hungry but were basic and disappointing. read more

One of the best places to get falafel in NYC that I've found thus far. Crunchy, small and crumbly and super green and fragrant. I've been told that the best falafel is green from all the herbs they use and just look how green it is. You can get a bowl - got mine with couscous and hummus and all the veggies. Great spot for easy, healthy takeout in the neighborhood! They recently started offering meat options which is a good variety

Used to be one of my favorite places but...cashier was on the phone while taking my order..good job multitasking but not good business. Afterward, cashier tried to give me like $3+ dollars in coins. I offered to pay with a card instead since I didn't want to walk around with all of that change but cashier said it's ok and proceeded to give the coinage anyway. I didn't want to engage in any type of tit-for-tat so I decided to leave it as a tip. Cashier obviously felt some type of way since she sarcastically stated "they left you a tip Robert - good job". I feel bad for Robert. I love the food but the exchange left me with a bad taste so I won't be returning. This place used to be packed all the time but now I see at least one reason why business is not the same. Taim is a great lunch spot! I usually order the bowl with half hummus / half cous cous or salad with chicken, all the toppings, and a drizzle of harissa. The falafel is also delicious as well but try to eat those asap since they'll lose their crisp sitting in the hummus. Sometimes if I'm extra hungry, I'll get a side of the pita and hummus. We came upon this spot via Yelp, while looking for a vegetarian restaurant in the Village. "Taim" in Hebrew means tasty, and the fare is Mediterranean with an Israeli twist. Their falafels come highly recommended, and of course I ordered a falafel bowl, because I love falafels. Turns out, I'll recommend them too, because they are tasty--just the right texture and spice blend, crunchy without being dry. You select your choice of bowl or pita, then from a range of toppings. Some are included in the base price, some are extra, all listed on the menu boards over the counter. The employees were helpful and efficient. This is a tiny storefront without a dining area, so it's essentially grab and go, and there was a constant stream of people waiting to order and/or pickup, mostly students from NYU, which is nearby. We walked a few blocks over to eat our feast at Washington Square Park. It's at the heart of the Village, and it's fast, easy, reasonably priced and delicious. Very reasonably priced, we both ordered Eggplant Sabich Bowls, sitting outside (there is very limited indoor counter seating and a few outdoor tables). Both bowls went with half hummus/half romaine lettuce base. I stuffed mine with the Shifka Peppers, pickled onions, chickpeas, almonds, and shallots topped with Harissa sauce. Partner was more restrained, only adding chickpeas. Mine was better, although there was disagreement on that fact. Way better than the Taim in Flatiron, both in terms of quality and quantity. I ordered a salad the other day with the cauliflower shawarma and added on the Mediterranean carrots and kalamata olives. The salad was fantastic, it was a great portion size, and it was dressed well (normally I like my dressing on the side so I can control the amount but luckily I had no complaints there). For somewhere in the realm of $14 it is a little pricey but no more so than sweetgreen so I think it's a comparable alternative. Plus the cauliflower was really amazing. Haven't tried the falafel from this location yet (one of my biggest complaints about the flatiron location is that the falafel can be very dry) so that'll be the real test, but I was pretty impressed by the salad I got. We ordered bowls and snagged one of their outdoor tables (note: there is no indoor seating and only 3 outdoor tables on the sidewalk).
