One of a few currently open tea places in The Source OC. Tbaar offers many drinks that other places do not, including fresh fruit and the half and half drink container. They also typically offer small samples of 2 or 3 teas in a bar that sits in front of the register. Today it was hot and a cold tea sounded appropriate, and it was indeed. We got the fresh Passion Fruit Tea, and opted to substitute the mixed jelly for aloe (at not cost). The jasmine green tea was a solid base, coming across in each sip. The fruit was cubed into small pieces, easy to fit through the straw (easy to drink), and contributed some natural sweetness to the drink. We still thought it was sweeter than necessary, but were assured that no syrup was added to the drink. Good service, fresh and refreshing drink, we'll definitely be back again. read more

We had the strawberry banana smoothie with mixed fruit on top, the coconut smoothie with fruit jelly, the double cup (awesome) with honeydew milk tea and honey green milk tea, and the mango lemonade with pudding (not really a good mix btw). What brought this to the 4 was a combination of the drinks, the service, and the super awesome drink mixing machine. It is pretty darn good and I definitely have already gone back several times. I haven't tried the non milk teas but they do look tempting. There's quite a few spots to also sit down and just chill. Most of the places close and you are still welcome to hang out till they tell you to go. Tbaar makes smoothies, healthy juices, and etcs. The honeydew was not bad, but a little sweet. The strawberry and lychee was decent. It's not bad for what it is. If you get a healthy juice, then make sure you are prepared for it. Wanted to try something new at The Source so checked out Tbaar. It's located in the food court on the 3rd floor. I got the Fresh Dragon Fruit Tea and my friend got the Taro Milk Tea. The Fresh Dragon Fruit Tea was $8.57 and tasted like artificial flavor. You only get tiny bits of dragon fruit in the drink. Not worth the price! My friend's Taro Milk Tea tasted so bad that she took one sip and threw it away. It tasted nothing like taro. Very disappointed in our drinks and would not return. read more

We were looking for a boba place close by. And yelp directed us to this place. It's actually part of a food court of a "mall." There's also another boba place in a same food court so props to them for being competitive. Anyways I love passion fruit so when I saw one of their more popular items was the fresh passion fruit tea, that's what I got with boba. We ordered and paid and then waited for our drinks. I think we had numbers but we didn't hear them being called out. We just saw the drinks sitting on the "ready" table. I started walking away and noticed that there were bits of fruit in my drink - including kiwi, which I'm unfortunately allergic to. I was going to just take a chance and drink it. But my friend convinced me to at least ask Tbaar. If they could remake it. I asked and was apologetic and luckily they were ok with re-making the drink. They were polite about it and I didn't get any annoyed feelings, which is good. I wasn't expecting my passion fruit tea to have little bits of fruit in it - I don't remember the menu mentioning this. So it was a nice surprise, unless you have an allergy. But glad they were able to re-make my drink. Yay. I was able to enjoy my drink and it was sweet and tasty and I did like the other fruit bits in there. My only other small little gripe is that I asked for boba and there was mini boba in the drink. It's a pet peeve of mine. Mini boba is not the same as regular boba and I definitely prefer regular boba. Otherwise good drink and great service. read more

When I stopped by, they had their amazing milk black tea, jasmine tea, and mango lemonade. That's some 5/5 service to allow your potential guests to try such different options. I ordered the split cup with amazing milk black tea and lychee lime green tea. The lychee lime was a little too sour for my liking but I can't really deduct stars for that - limes are suppose to be sour lol. My cousin ordered a Mojito drink. I expected them to just make a mock of one - at most maybe throw a mint in the cup and call it good. But no, quality is consistently delivered! You can see the workers at the window mashing mints to really create an authentic flavor. It's quality like this that create a loyal customer. Fresh Passion Fruit Tea is NOT fresh passion fruit. It is simply tea with passion fruit syrup and fresh fruit bits on top. They don't give as much fruit as is pictured on their display or even half the amount. They just sprinkle some fruit to cover the top. I thought it was cheap initially because of how much fruit they give you. Passion fruit flavor also isn't very strong, more sweet. I wanted to try the dragonfruit smoothie but it was waaaaay too $$$. They only use a cup (half a fruit) for the entire smoothie which doesn't comp for the price. Service was great and she was super friendly, but the drink I got was ok. It comes with a lot of small pieces of real fruit and mixed jelly, but I replace the mixed with just lychee jelly. They also have A LOT of other tea choices and even juices. At the Source you can find a few different tea places to choose from and since I have tried them all, I have to say that Tbaar has the best watermelon lemonade I have tasted. This is everyone in my family's goto drink. Some like it with mixed jelly and some just the lemonade but never fails that we could each pick a different thing to eat from all the different restaurants there but we are all going to get that watermelon lemonade to drink. Tbaar is pretty darn good. Most def. better than Ong Cha which is in the same food court at The Source. I enjoyed the fresh juices and the black milk tea. Their prices however is a bit pricey, but I guess it is a common thing since all the juice and tea places raised their prices. Also, the service was slow. We ordered 4 drinks and it took about 15 mins. And we got each drink one at a time.. They should not release your drinks until the full order is complete!
