I'm a TOTAL sweet tooth and I can tell you their pastries are really good. Their coffee is fairly decent though I don't have it pictured. I think there it lacks is their pricing. Similar to a lot of places around the area here, it obviously can get pretty darn expensive. It's quick service so their service is what you'd expected it's solid, courteous, and to the point. Ambiance is great, I do like the amount of chairs and tables they have along with their loungers. I think though, for the size, it could be cheaper or they can make them bigger.
Salt bread with cream: Cream is really thick. i prefer the original flavor compared to the matcha flavor. The bread is also tough, it took awhile for me to cut through bread with their fork and knife. Salt bread with matcha cream: You can taste the matcha and there's a slight bitterness. Banana Latte (less sweet): I think the banana milk already has some sweetness and there's also syrup added for the additional sweetness. If you're used to just drinking Americano then this would be slightly sweeter for your taste.
Decent coffee shop/bakery located at the Source OC. To drink, I got their Peach Lemon Iced Tea and it was a bit too sweet. I think they used way too much syrup in my drink. The flavor was solid, just way too sugary. Refreshing though. To eat, my friend and I shared a Strawberry Cream Croissant. It wasn't fresh and that was reflective in the pastry itself, but the cream was light and the strawberries were sweet and juicy. It would be nice if the croissant was warmed up and this was put together fresh, but it felt like it was sitting out for a while. The cafe interior is huge and spacious. Despite its size, the cafe was still busy and packed on a Sunday afternoon. It took a while to get our order. I would recommend adding even more seating and tables. Parking is free and covered at the Source.
came here on a whim and to escape the heat honestly, but the establishment is huge with tons of pastries and drinks to choose from and lots of seating for a casual spot to wind down. we ordered on one of the many large tablet kiosks they have and the process was quick and easy. -banana cream bread: 7/10 a thick almost icing like cream with an artificial banana flavor on a somewhat soft milk bread. was definitely expecting a more soft/fluffy bread with an airy banana whipped cream but it was quite the opposite -earl grey blueberry tart: 7/10 nice fresh blueberries on top of this thick sticky earl grey cream almost like dulce de leche, it was super sweet but the earl grey flavor was good. tart crust was a bit hard and dry -banana matcha latte: 6/10 artificial banana flavor/syrup with very little matcha flavor and it was super watery. not sweet at all either which was surprising given the banana flavor was so prominent -matcha einspanner: 8/10 decent matcha einspanner, not too sweet and the drink was actually creamy and had good matcha flavor
Was going to get bakery items but my daughter pointed out the flies in the case. Actual flies, not fruit flies. Landing on the croissants and cakes so we didn't get anything. Got a Blueberry ade. Put less ice but there's so much ice plus was empty three inches smh. Tasted so bland like water with a blueberry essence lol
Went to Seed Water during their soft opening and haven't been back since but figured I should still put in a review because during their soft opening they were doing really good! We got the strawberry matcha and peach sparkling drink. Matcha was 4/5 with not being too strong Peach flavor drink with sprite. Wasn't too bad, glad it was half off at the time otherwise I probably wouldn't spend too much on it. Staff were great and easy to order from. Can't wait to go now with their bakery open and all.
This new Korean bakery and cafe is gonna give Porto's a run for their money. Seed & Water is just down the street from Knott's Berry Farm, at the Source outdoor mall in Buena Park. Their space is absolutely massive to stay awhile and get some work done or catch up with friends. Don't even get me started on all the different kinds of breads and cakes they have...it was just display case after display case of so many yummy pastries! They have the viral Korean salt breads with the crispy bottom, and you CANNOT leave without getting one of their cream donuts. The strawberry matcha latte and ube latte are also delish for drinks. The cream filled salt bread here is delicious... but the cream itself carries. I also LOVED the hot Americano here -- we got a medium roast and it was genuinely delicious. The first time I had it was close to closing. Honestly, it was pretty stale but the cream was light, fluffy, so fragrant with the milk flavor. We were hooked on it. I also got the montblanc which was pretty good, nothing crazy. Definitely dry but I liked it with some hot tea. The chocolate salt bread was so stale it was almost inedible though, and it lacked a filling sadly. We went back a few days later and got the milk salt bread again along with the matcha salt bread. The matcha one actually blows the milk one out of the water. And that time as well, the milk one was ONLY FILLED A QUARTER OF THE WAY. We were very disappointed. And the top of the bread has a dollop of banana? Very strange and threw us off. It is a beautiful space regardless with clean bathrooms. I will say that the bread always seems to be on the stale side so they definitely need to keep refining their food. Their selection and presentation is pretty awesome though!
Their space is huge and has such a good vibe. There's so much seating but we went on a time when there was a clothing store pop up that it occupied half of the seating area. I ended up getting the iced grapefruit black tea and it was refreshing. It wasn't crazy sweet either, just a really nice balance. I also grabbed this matcha pastry that's shaped like a cone (forgot what it was called) because it looked too cool to pass up. The matcha flavor was super rich and the pastry was perfectly flaky.The only bummer is that I missed out on trying their salt bread this time - but i'll be back!
5/10 Matcha So Geum Ppang - I asked for a different bread and they gave me this one instead, so I ended up having to try it anyway. It honestly sucked. It's boring with literally no flavor and I would never get this again. 10/10 Matcha Twirl - This was clearly the star of the show. It was creamy and super matcha-y, and I'd definitely get this again. 7/10 Cinnamon Sugar Twist - My friend was the one who wanted this, so that's fine. I tried it too, it was aight. You can get this pretty much anywhere, so there's nothing spectacular about it. Cost - Matcha So Geum Ppang $3.99, Matcha Twirl $5.50, Cinnamon Sugar Twist $3.75

Located in The Source mall, this place has very convenient parking. The coffee shop itself is spacious with plenty of seating. What I especially like is that they have large tables that are great for business meetings or study groups, along with more private rooms for a quieter atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of bread and cakes, and the quality is good overall. The service was good as well. It's a comfortable spot to relax, study, or meet with friends.
Ordered drink at 1:41PM and received a message to pick them up at 1:51PM. Went to pick them up at 2:00PM but they told me orders were not ready yet. I WAITED ANOTHER 10min but nothing came out so asked again and they said they are still working. I saw three out five came out so asked to give me the three which were sitting there for 10minutes. Waited another 5min and asked why drinks are not ready and they said they are not sure. I checked individual other drink numbers and noticed my drinks were ready 20min ago. Waited extra 15min for nothing cause they were not organized. Also, asked for half sweet drink but but drink was too sweet, so could not even drink the drink. They bad service, not trained workers. Every time come here disappointed every time.
Ordered from the kiosk and got a text when the drinks were ready. The strawberry thing was yummy. It wasnt too sweet and it was a little salty . But it mightve been the same bread they use for other items. Between banana and blueberry matcha, i prefer the blueberry one. The matcha wasnt bad foe both. Also this place is enormous. They had multiple places to order items. I came when they were closing so they didnt have all the items in stock. Bathrooms are all the way in the back. read more

Such a spacious cafe/bakery/pastry shop. it was crowded but since it is spacious you wouldn't really elbow other customers you can either self order or place your oder on the counter with the crewZ They are well staffed. The tiramisu cake and the chocolate croissants were heavenly. I also ordered a lemon yuzu spirit (i think). They do have a lot of other pastry offered but that tiramisu was just perfection. maybe a little cleaning would help. like the tables need some good wiping, and small trashes on the floor needs to be attending. other wise, pastry food was good, drink was great and location was perfect. parking could be a little tricky. but i do see myself coming back read more

First time trying, I ordered the Top 10 Number 5 Honey Cinnamon Latte. It was quite good, with good flavor and texture, but it caused my stomach to hurt a bit. I'm not sure if it was the milk. read more
Great place to meet up with friends or get some work done. Pros: the place is spacious! There's plenty of seating with different lounge areas and even a conference room. I like how when you order on the big screen it asks how you want your drink to be made - more ice, less ice, more sweet, less sweet, and even what type of roast you want. They play relaxing jazz music. They're open late (until 11pm) and they also have a big menu with lots of variety to choose from with good pricing. Cons: they don't currently have WiFi set up so I had to use my hotspot. I was looking for something savory so I ordered the garlic cream cheese sourdough bread to take home and share with my neighbors because it was pretty big but I feel like I got bamboozled, it was super sweet and didn't taste like cream cheese at all. read more
A really nice spacious area to sit and hang out indoors, not common to find this spacious of a spot around so this is nice! There are booths, open seats and also a conference room available for more private seating. You can order with the staff or on the kiosks available. The drinks are better than their pastry items as they do roast their own coffee on site! I got their specialty S&W latte as well as the choco-strawberry latte. Both had a very smooth coffee flavor which was really nice! You can even customize if you want the espresso to be medium, medium dark or dark roast, so it's customizable to your liking. As for pastries, they had 6 salt bread for $20, where you can choose between the matcha and/or original salt bread. You can also request for them to heat it up for you if eating at the café too. The bread was okay, matcha was better as it was more buttery and crispy. I also got the Nutella banana croissant which was pretty sweet but a decent sized croissant. Staff were all friendly and helpful! Great ambiance but if you're there to study, can make you sleepy too with all the coffee roasting background noise and quiet chatters. read more

After our Disneyland trip, we decided to get some coffee. It was so yummy. We ordered the banana latte and the Matcha einspanner! Since we are driving six hours back to Bay Area we also got some pastries. This salt bread is so yummy. I don't even know what it means. I think it's just bread that salty and sweet. The presentation is so nice. We spent about $50 crazy but it's OK if he helped us survive our six hour trip back to the bay, we'll be back. read more

I came here for the first time and was really excited about their menu of breads and desserts. However, when we looked at the display case, there were three flies inside with the bread and dessert. It was so gross and immediately put a damper on the experience. I ended up just getting a honey cinnamon latte/drink, which was actually good. But because of the fly situation, I wouldn't recommend any of the bread or desserts from here. I just hope no one gets sick. I won't be back for the food. read more

Order line move fast and staffs are nice. But while waiting for pickup, I went back to take some photos and see flies trapped in cabinet. It stayed on almost every bread. Realizing some of my items are in the cabinet, I just tossed the whole box. read more
The source has really stepped up its game with opening more trendy spots, and Seed Water for sure lives up to the hype! With its big open concept layout Seed water offers it's no wonder why the crowd come in to lounge and enjoy bakery items and drinks. The original menu item that brought me in was the sea salt bread, a flakey, buttery, salty perfectly crisp bread is unique with a crunch you can taste from freshness. But menus items like choco bread, croissants, banana matcha and many more you can't help but to grab multiples. Kudos to the source with brining in a spot that offers much with the space to accompany! I hope seed water is around to stay. read more

Wow. Huge coffee and pastry shop. How do they do this? Rent must be nothing. Order everything from the pastry counter including drinks. You will get buzzed when the drinks are ready. All the pastries are reasonable priced. Not as many options as other Korean bakeries but will do. Lots of seating. Plenty of seating. read more
Huge open space with plenty of drink and pastry options on the menu. Order at the counter that is deeper inside, and pickup at the counter closer to the entrance when your buzzer goes off. It was pretty dead when we went in on a late Tuesday afternoon. Heads up that they stop serving sandwiches and toasts at 3. NITRO COLD BREW: 5/5. Good enough that my party ordered a second one. SALT BREAD: 4/5. Not too bad, texture was okay, but it was a bit more on the oily side, even for salt bread. CHOCOLATE MOUSSE: 4/5. Rich and decadent. The crunchy chocolate balls inside add a nice textural contrast. MANGO PASSIONFRUIT MOUSSE: 2/5. Not sure how something as flavorful as passionfruit can be so flavorless in this pastry. The gelee on top was so gelatinous I couldn't slice through with a fork. read more

Horrible place when it comes to using giftcard. TBH, only came back since I had balance on my GC. Nothing special other than they are huge. Received a gift card as a present and came here March and today. 4 months apart but they still don't know how to accept GC as payment. Went through 2 different cashiers today and the third "manager" came saying GC invalid. Had my receipt showing balance but she said machine kept showing card as invalid. Went through 3 machines and another call to manager's manager and it finally went through. Ridiculous that it takes so much time and ppl to use a single GC. Finally used up all balance so won't be back. read more

When I first walked in, I noticed that their price listing was different than what I paid for. There's false advertising to begin with. Then, I ordered a drink with light ice, and there was no notice that I would receive it only 75% filled. They should let people know if they are doing that. I then furthermore asked for a refund but they refused that service. Would not recommended this place to anyone. Drink was a 4/10. read more
One definitive thing: THIS PLACE IS HUGE Almost like a warehouse but it's nice as there are lots of seating **Ordered: the Matcha Einspanner ~$7 It's honestly fairly watered down with not much of a matcha taste but hey it keeps me awake **People: cashiers as well as the baristas are all great as if you don't know what to get, feel free to ask what they recommend :) **Vibes: chill but not that quiet as there are a lot of people that sit there and chat for hours. LOTS & LOTS of seating but the lot of the tables are small so gotta pick accordingly. Tho WiFi isn't the best, I just hotspot since it's faster **Overall: I would always come back to study or to just hang out and chill. The store is located at The Source. There is a large parking structure. Plenty of parking and EV charging also. You order at the baked goods area and pick up on the other side. Alot of variety of pastries and drinks and all look very pretty. We tried the einspeinner matcha and sea salt bread. The matcha was good but nothing special. I was a bit disappointed of the bread. Not sure if it's because it was late in the afternoon. It didn't taste fresh and felt like biting into a chunk of oil. It is a very large space and looks like a great spot for groups to hang out over some food and drinks. read more
I really like this spot. I was drawn to this store given how huge and spacious it was. They offer a variety of baked goods and also had coffee. I ordered the salt bread 6 for $20. The salt bread was pretty decent. I got a mix of the original and the matcha flavor. It's not too sweet and was pretty good. Service was also pretty quick. This would definitely be a good hangout spot to enjoy a little coffee break. read more

A pricy cafe, but its pastries and drinks are delicious and there is PLENTY of seating, especially if you are in a group and want somewhere to study / do your hobbies! I came here with my art friends to draw and hangout, and this place was on the top of our list due to how large the roastery is - seriously, there was seating for days (and several long tables perfect for groups)! My group of 6 seated ourselves at a long table coincidentally next to another group that was drawing as well. It can get a little noisy due to the amount of people in the room and the ongoing music playing (we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was bustling), so do keep that in mind if you want to come here to study. I loved the variety of pastries to order from! They're all displayed in glass cases and you can clearly see which ones are still available or not. Even in the late afternoon, there were still a decent amount left. There was a menu for drinks which also had a decent variety. To order your food, you must locate the ordering station and then pick up your items at the pickup station. You get handed one of those electronic buzzer notifiers when your order is ready. I ordered the dalgona latte (#2 on top 10 drinks list) and the garlic cream cheese bread. Both were so yummy! I loved the sugar bits on the top of the latte and the bread was SO huge and filling! I love cream cheese to bits so it was perfect for me, and it was a pull apart bread that makes it easy for sharing. When I brought leftovers home, my partner showed me how delectable it was air-fried as well. I will definitely come here again for an art date, but will definitely come by when I have enough to spend in order to try more! read more

New spot at the source and this place is Huuuge! They have a good selection of baked goods. My favorite can never go wrong with a fruit tart. We have a mochi cinnamon twist thing. It was good probably better fresh it was tiny bit stale. The strawberry tiramisu reminded me more of a tres leche kinda of cake it was very good. They have so many choices for coffee and matcha. The coffee and matcha both taste pretty rich and good. They have a big seating area and booths and a room for people to host meetings or looked more so for people to study. read more
Such a cool concept and this bakery is huge! I initially thought it was a food court but once I walked inside I realized it was an entire bakery. I guess it's good for people to go study or work as well since I saw a lot of people doing that and there was more than enough space/seating. It looked like they had more work to do to open up? I saw a sign about soft/grand opening so I'm not sure if they're fully functioning just yet. We only tried their 2 drinks here which we love and they were so cheap too only $5! Decided to give this place another try after the last poor experience. Today really made up for the prior visit. The latte and pastries were delicious. And the service was so good. The guy helping us with our order was extremely knowledgeable and the gal who made our coffee really knows how to make delicious lattes. I just hope they can be more consistent as I hope all my future visits are as solid as our first and third visit. Even though they no longer offer the 50% off I feel like it's still a solid choice when at the source. I like that it's right next to Seoul Station. read more
I had known about their Grand Opening special, which was pretty much half off everything on their menu, but I wasn't in a mood to try any of their drinks until after they ceased the half off special. I don't actually know when this special ended, but I was a little ticked about missing out on it. Luckily, the fruit teas were still reasonably priced that even at full price, I was still willing to splurge on a refreshing drink in the midst of my afternoon getaway. I came on a Sunday afternoon, and I noticed they were starting to advertise some eats. Not just bakery eats, but rather, more like sandwiches, salads, and toasts. They had a signicade in front of the shop that said breakfast and brunch were coming soon in October, which has already passed, so I'm sure you could order a sandwich or salad even at the time of writing this review. At first, it was hard to find the drinks menu because they were advertising their new cafe menu so hard that it almost felt like they had forgotten about their drinks menu! Luckily, they had a few posted around the indubitably spacious coffee shop that could accommodate many a machinery, which I'm almost certain is for display only. There was so much space inside that the pickup and order counters ran so long; at first glance, it felt like they had at least 20 registers there! I asked one of the baristas (Jasmine?) whether it made a difference where I placed my order at. She indicated the counter closer to the front door was for pickup, but we could order with her. I also saw another order counter around the corner, but there was a sign that indicated to order at the bakery, where Jasmine was at the time. Above the counters are tiles that basically show their menu offerings. If you've been to The Stand before, they do something similar with their burgers, salads, and sandwiches, or in this case, standwiches lol. But here, you'll see drinks and baked goods instead. Not sure what you want? One suggestion I can offer is to point in a random direction, and whatever item you point at, order that item! Just don't point at someone else, either a customer or an employee, if you attempt this lol. The maximizer I am when confronted with analysis paralysis, I took my time circumnavigating the interior to find all the menus and decide on what to get. Since I wanted to explore the 3-story shopping center afterwards, I wanted to get a nice refreshing drink. It was about 4 PM, and I didn't want coffee at that hour. A fruit tea sounded like the best choice, but what about the Sparkling Ade? I wasn't sure if it was the same ade as Gatorade or Powerade, so I went back up to the order counter and asked Jasmine. She mentioned it was a conglomerate of syrup and carbonated water, which as refreshing as it may sound, it also sounded like something that could be cloyingly sweet if they went overboard on the syrup. As a result, I chose a fruit tea, but which one? They have 5 different options of fruit teas, all of which cost $4.50; however, two of them are black teas, which I didn't want for the same reason I didn't want coffee. The other choices were Peach Iced Tea, Lemon Iced Tea, and Peach Lemon Iced Tea. I prefer getting the best of both worlds, so you can tell which one I got lol. Actually, right before I placed my order, Jasmine instructed all the customers to line up parallel to the counter when we were initially perpendicular. And the way she put it almost made me think I had cut in line. Oops? But no biggie, I placed my order, and she handed me a pager that would buzz when my order was ready for pickup. The wait for my drink was really quick. Like 2-3 minutes quick; I barely had time to admire the machinery in the middle of the shop before I was summoned to the pickup counter. They had three drinks ready, and when I handed a barista the pager I was holding, she handed me the correct drink; I could also tell because the order number was also printed on the sticker. My first sip of the drink, and it was quite the flavor explosion! But why was there much more lemon flavor than there was peach? Not totally sure, but I was overall satisfied with the flavor nonetheless. Definitely refreshing on this rather warm autumn afternoon! However, I felt they added a little too much ice in my drink. Upon paying, I asked Jasmine how large the cups were, and she showed me an empty cup, which I thought was sizable enough for the price point. However, looks can be deceiving, and with the addition of that much ice, I didn't get as much iced tea as I initially envisioned. I've mentioned several times that there is ample space for customers to do some studying and/or get work done. They also even have a conference room if you want to hold a business meeting here! Overall, I was satisfied with my drink, but I wouldn't be rushing to come back. While it is a good spot to meet up with friends, you can definitely do better elsewhere. read more
this place is huge and a great place to sit around and chill with your friends and family since there is so much seating and space! it terms of the pastries and drinks, i think they're all pretty standard pastries with nothing crazy or outstanding but still good nonetheless! my cousin and i split the dubai chewy cookie and the fruit tart, and i also got a peach iced tea to go with it. - dubai chewy cookie: pretty expensive at $8 for one piece, but i did enjoy this a lot! the outside is coated with dark chocolate powder, so it can be bitter, but i think it pairs well with the sweet pistachio cream filling. - fruit tart: the shell was a little hard and not flaky like how i like my fruit tarts usually, but it was a good cookie-like base. the cream was good and sweet tho and paired well with the tart berries! - peach iced tea: not a super strong tea flavor, but still a refreshing drink service is pretty fast and efficient! you can just order everything at the counter together, and they prepare them quickly. overall a nice place to hangout after walking around the source! read more
