Last stop on my food tour at The Source! I could not leave without a dessert and settled on a boba. There are other boba places at the Source (all of which I tried), but I have never tried Tbaar, so I knew I had to try it. Tbaar is located on the top floor inside the food court. There were not a lot of people, so I was able to order pretty quickly. I decided on a mango green tea with boba and lychee jelly. The cool thing about this place is that they use fresh fruit and I was able to see all the employees in action as they cut up the fruits to make the drinks. I definitely want to try a smoothie the next time I come here. My drink came out in about 5 minutes. I have to say it was super tasty! The fresh fruit in my drink was really good and the boba was super fresh and tender. I finished my drink in about 15 minutes. LOL. A suggestion that I have is to ask for less ice. There was a lot of ice in my drink, so there was a lot of boba left at the end. I am definitely going to stop by here next time. I will definitely try a smoothie next time. read more

I chose to stop by TBaar and searching for bubble tea places near Buena Park and was pleasantly surprised! First, TBaar is located inside a shopping center called The Source. Park on the 3rd level if you can because it's inside the food court on the 3rd floor. I ordered the passion fruit tea with fruit and substituted the mixed jelly for just lychee jelly. I got it with less ice and 75% sweetness, it was perfect! I especially liked the little bits of fresh fruit that was part of the drink. The tea flavor brought me back to Taiwan and I was so happy to have found a good bubble tea place on the first try. I also ordered a slice of the ube crepe cake on a whim after seeing it on the menu. Do yourself a favor and GET THE UBE CAKE! It was moist, not overly sweet at all and in between the layers it was nothing but delicious cream. TBaar is inside the food court of this really strange complex in Buena Park. The Source OC in Buena Park tries to mimic the large department stores you'd find in Asia, where it's one big colossal structure with tons of boutique stores and food shops. It looks newly built and still finding vendors to fill open spots. TBaar is hard to find. You'll have to go to the third floor and towards the food court to find it. However, the tea is pretty solid. We enjoyed the TBaar jasmine milk tea. I couldn't tell if they use fresh milk or creamer as the milk base, but the tea flavor was definitely present and offered a nice overall drink (at our usual 50% sweetness level). The food court that TBaar is in is very spacious and well-heated in the winter with lots of seating so it's a great place to hang out with friends. read more

One was a dragonfruit smoothie which tasted really bland (and cost us $9) and the other was a strawberry smoothie ($4.50, so huge price difference there), which was so sweet and artificial tasting I could barely finish it. Located inside the third floor food court at The Source, this TBaar has become one of my go-to boba spots. I usually go here when I want a fresh dragon fruit tea or brown sugar boba milk tea. The boba here has a good level of chewiness and tastes fresh. The fruit tea comes with bits of fresh fruit; it does not taste artificial like some other places that use powder or syrup for fruit flavoring. I've tried a few other drinks from Tbaar, such as the amazing black milk tea, Thai iced tea, papaya milk shake, and peach oolong tea. These drinks were not bad, but they did not stand out compared to similar drinks at other boba places. The prices are not cheap, but you are paying for good quality drinks and the convenient mall location. read more

It's located in the food court of in a random indoor shopping plaza. It was late so we didn't explore the space. We parked in the free parking structure. TBaar is such a great spot for refreshing, delicious drinks! Their menu is pretty big so there's a lot of options to choose from, ranging from squeezed juices to typical milk tea boba drinks. My top 3 are probably the Brown Sugar milk tea, Amazing Black milk tea, and Passion fruit tea. They also sell crepe cakes too! The staff here is super friendly! The owner (I assume) is also a gem! They gave me and sister free tteoboki from next door which was such a sweet gesture lol. It's located inside a mall and food court so there's a bunch of seating inside. The Tbaar Milk Green Tea was SO GOOD. I highly recommend. A very floral jasmine tea taste and the perfect milk ratio. I got the split cup so you get two drinks for $6. Along with the Tbaar Milk Green Tea, I got the Lychee Lime Green Tea. When I drank it initially, there was a LOT of lime pulp and mainly just tasted like a Lime Green Tea. This is probably one of the better places to get boba at the source. Super expansive menu and a lot more "fresher" options if you were to choose a smoothie or the juice drinks. I got the lychee lime green tea. Super refreshing and came with slices of lime. You taste the lychee first and then get some of the tartness of the lime and it finishes nicely with the green tea flavor. I'd go back again to try more of their drinks. PS. A warm day with a long drive from San Diego to Los Angeles and we were ready for a break. We stopped in Buena Park and were fortunate to find TBaar. We perused the variety of options on the menu and decided to try the Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea and the Brown Sugar Bubble Matcha Tea. Looks can be deceiving, esp for boba shops in food courts. But this place lived up to the hype and the good reviews! I ordered the Jasmine milk tea with boba, 50% sugar and less ice. The ice was just the right amount because I like to have a tiny bit at the bottom of my drink when I finish. I thought this 50% sugar was a tad sweeter than other places or my palette is changing for the better. I thought the Jasmine was perfect in this drink. Beautiful floral flavors that really came out. Plus they use the same whole milk I have at home and so it was frothy at the top. Boba had good consistency (can probably be cooked a bit longer to soften it up more) and flavor, and the size of the balls are on the smaller side. Overall, really great drink and even though I'm not from the area, I'll be back to try some of their fruity options! Great job here! Tbaar was kinda like that the other night. My girlfriend ordered their brown sugar milk tea and I went with their Hokkaido milk tea with oolong. In order to hit our DoorDash minimum we also got a jasmine green milk tea. Can't go wrong with a classic, right? Hokkay, so the Hokkaido. I love Hokkaido milk tea. I think I discovered this during my first time in Bangkok. Ever since then I always order it any chance I get. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it belongs in the trash can. Good news? Tbaar's Hokkaido DOESN'T belong in the trash can! It's milky and creamy, and perfectly sweet. And best of all? It's got notes of wafer in it. Like the crispy, flaky, sweet wafers. It's so good! I normally like to pace my drinks (I rarely drink sweet beverages), but this didn't stand a chance. I took a sip of my girlfriend's brown sugar milk tea and it was also pretty damn good, but a little too sweet for my palette, but definitely good and worth ordering. We both drank the jasmine green milk tea the next day and it was definitely on the leaner side of sweet, but still good. It was something I'd order if I didn't get the Hokkaido. Tbaar is definitely a solid choice if you're trying to figure out where to get milk tea. Just try not to order too late otherwise they'll run out of boba ;) read more

One of my favorite tea bar is opened during Covid-19. I was so glad to be able to order the drink. Also most of drinks are able to order. When I was at Tbaar, I can order everything except wheatgrass drink. There are some other restaurant is open in the mall during Covid-19 so I highly recommend to visit there. read more
