TC Lando's gets me every time. I really can't think of anything negative to say about them. From their cheese steaks, to their chicken subs, to their burritos... it's all good. The freshest meats, the huge portions and the quick service; all has made me a lifer at TC Lando's. I would recommend the following if visiting for your first time: 1.) Cherry Bomb Cheese Steak 2.) Smokin' Chipotle Burrito 3.) Chicken Budster The one downside I could think of here is the price. They are somewhat pricey, and it does seem they have hiked it up a bit recently. The reason this does not effect my rating is the portions that go with the price. I ALWAYS leave here either full or with leftovers. Their large subs are HUGE, and filled with ingredients (when you first open it, you won't know where/how to start). Nevertheless, don't expect to spend any less than $8-$10 dollars for lunch here. All in all, my favorite place for lunch in Hudson. A definite high recommendation here for TC Lando's (PS: The one in Clinton is just as good, just smaller with little to no dining). read more

Great greasy spoon. Food is above average, the staff here is great. Cheesesteak was good, I will probably stay away from peppers, they don't chopped them finely and leaving fairly large really over powers the rest of the sandwich. I order from here a lot because of the convenience and the menu. Every time I order delivery, they just leave it on the ground in front of my door and DON'T ring the doorbell. Today, this happened and we didn't know our food had been sitting there for more than 10 minutes. HOUSES HAVE DOORBELLS. USE THEM! I've been going to this location for maybe 20 years. My order tonight was the worst I'd ever had. My cheese steak subs was miniscule compared to what I usually get here. My calzone was not cooked through and way over filled with sauce and had very little ricotta. I hope this was just a bad night for the crew there. So disappointed and so is my family. Love TC Landos! Been coming here for years, usually go the pizza route or more frequently the hot steak and cheese subs. Definitely my go to place in Hudson for Pizza. Service is usually pretty fast and sometimes the owner is there taking your order or giving you your food when you come and pick it up. Pretty small interior but it is always nice and clean when I go in there to pick up. They have a nice assortment of soda and other drinks you can also buy. I love their vintage Coco-cola machine, gives the place a cool vibe. They also have plenty of napkins and paper plates usually available for you to take/use for your order. I like this sub and pizza shop very much. My favorite thing to eat on their menu is their grilled chicken salads, the salad comes with various veggies and the chicken is moist. TC Landos went downhill. Ordered a large Misteak with mayo and NO pepperoni. I got extra pepperoni and some weird tasting mustard on it. The only reason I ordered from here was because my husband was picking it up. I swore off this place years ago. My order has never been right, no one ever cares and when we used to eat there the workers were rude. Today they stayed true to form. My wife got there and waited, but no one came out. She went in, where there were tons of people tightly packed waiting. They told her that despite how we ordered...there was no curbside. Three experiences have formed my opinion of TC Lando's. The first was with a coupon to attract us as new home owners. That followed with a back and forth with the manager about deliveries and coupon validation. We ended up with cold pizza and we weren't impressed. The second time was during our first walk in downtown Hudson. A vintage Coke machine in the window drew us in. The Coke was tasty and fun, but the pizza by the slice was old and dry. I shared my previous experiences with a friend and he told me that the Cherry Bomb Sub would change my perception of TC Lando's. I ordered and watched 5 subs go out the door as the cashier doesn't question why I sat without food. I asked on the status of my food - which was not being prepared and apparently "walked out the door" although my order was FOR HERE and not TO GO. No more chances for TC Landos. I have never written a bad review but am really upset after getting off the phone with them. I ordered a salad and what I got is an old gross salad complete with the olives I asked not to have. It is old, wilted, slimy and just gross. After calling in to get a refund (which I also have never done) The girl argued with me that it was a just made salad she personally made and it was because of the onions that it is like this. I normally make a huge salad on Sunday's that I bag and am able to eat for a week before it turns into what I received tonight. After some persuasion I am able to get a refund but I need to personally go in to get it. As a mom of three one being an infant (hence ordering takeout) this is just not okay. So no I won't be taking up my salad that I need to go pick up after we put our kids to bed. I will now be going elsewhere. read more

This place has the best Steak and Cheese subs around. They are tasty and HUGE! Basically all of their hot subs are excellent. Aside from the steak based subs I also love the Chickaloni. It's chicken, pepperoni, provolone and tomato sauce. Their bread is fantastic. Their pizza is so good. A lot of people overlook it but it has a crisp yet doughy crust, amazing toppings and vibrant flavors. I also enjoy their salads with chicken. They grill up chicken chunks (the same as in the subs) for the salads w/ meat...mmm...what a tasty place! Enjoy! read more

TC Lando's has a reputation for making delicious steak subs, this is true. My son always orders steak and says it's the best, but I don't eat steak. What I recommend and crave on a regular basis is their Tory's Original Chicken Burrito. Soooo good, there's something just a bit sweet about the hot sauce and I love it! They serve tortilla chips with the burrito and that bit of salt provides a nice balance. Just writing this review makes me want one. They've recently redone the dining room which is a nice improvement, we never liked those hanging spot lights over the tables. My only suggestion for improvement would be to turn up the heat in the dining area, in winter it is very chilly in there. read more

Drool.... cheesesteaks..... Have only been a few times for cheese steaks, but have been totally carnivored out after eating here. The large steak sandwiches are only a dollar or so more than the small, and the large is gigantic. My co-worker finished a large once and regretted eating so much food. The better advice is to get the large, eat half, and then have the remaining half for another meal. i had an order for $41.72 with special instructions. When picking up the owner(woman) said one had no special instructions. My son left them and called me. I called and was told i ordered wrong. Then she hung up on me. I called back and got a guy. He said he would issue credit. I never got a credit so called again. Now they say they will only credit one sub. At one point I was charged $81.94 and never got any food. Now I am charged for two subs - never received. The people were extremely rude to both my son and I. Great steak subs! The dining room is large and well-appointed for a pizza and sub shop. Easy to get to, reasonably fast service (though it's almost always busy if you don't call in your order ahead of time). If you're willing to step out of the purist world of straight steak-and-cheese, I would highly recommend the Mis-steak sub (though I get mine without the teriyaki). Where I choose to spend my money, I always expect a proper level of customer service. Tonight, I was pleasantly surprised, starting with a positive experience placing my order over the phone. When I walked in to pick up, the same young man actually said, "I'll be with you in a minute." It was funny because two seconds later he asked me how he could help me. I like TC Lando's in general. I usually visit the one in Acton, but this one is sometimes convenient for take-out and because it has a larger dining room area. Speaking of which, that's the reason I went into this TC Landon's one day, and why I haven't been able to eat at TC Lando's ever since. It isn't the food. The food was good - Pizza was good, my steak/cheese was terrific. But the problem was eating in the restaurant. When I walked into the main dining area, I could smell a cleaning solution/ deoderizer in the room. Looking immediately to the right, you could see the bathroom. But the problem... and this is what REALLY grossed me out... was that if you walk into the bathroom, that's definitely where the deoderizer came from AND if you dare to look up, you can see that the ceiling/roof is actually open to the dining area. So there isn't a real 'fan' in the bathroom or a ventilation - the bathroom isn't sealed from the eating area. Maybe that doesn't bother some people, but it just seems like it would be a kind of violation and I couldn't eat the food with the smell of the bathroom just being... 'out there'. So... to summarize, I liked the food. But unfortunately I haven't been able to dis-associate their food from the memory of the smell of a toilet deoderizer and can't help but wonder why/how they can possibly be allowed to keep the bathroom open as it is... read more

After spending my teenage years in northern jersey im very picky about my pizza and TC is among the select few id consider as comparable. The subs are good. Not the best cheesesteak as they boldly declare tempting us to validate but they are huge with many assortment options. They are a bit greasy and could be on better bread to be considered "the best". The place itself is ok if stopping in for a quick lunch, definitely nothing fancy but comfortable and clean enough. On a negative note, parking is challenging off-street, service is not exactly friendly, they dont have garlic powder (even available) and you cant use your credit card or debit card. They offer free atm service but still an inconvenience. If im in the mood for a quick pizza slice for lunch this is where i head, otherwise i go elsewhere. read more

The sub though is great - they packed in a whole lot of meat and cheese and definitely hit the spot. Definitely try the steak subs here. OMG, CHEESESTEAKS! Now that I've calmed down, let me tell you a little about T.C. Lando's. I've only tried their cheesesteaks and it would be a very hard sell to get me to change that behavior. Many places have tried hard to emulate the Philly cheesesteak and most have failed. T.C.'s gives you a hearty offering and you'll definitely have leftovers. I've been a customer since the Maynard days. The subs are awesome. I've never had a bad sub from there. Always outstanding. Among the best in the area. Unfortunately, the people working there are miserable about 90% of the time. I've known it for years, but it came to a head last night. Last night, 3 different sets of customers came in within 5-10 minutes after me, ordered, and received their steak and cheese subs before I did. My son and I stood there waiting patiently for 25 minutes. Eventually, I stepped to the counter to ask what was going on and I noticed both griddles were covered with water and were being cleaned off for the night. I was staring back into the kitchen to try to get someone's attention as they all scrambled about to clean and close the place (it was 9:10pm and they close at 10pm) and some old bird back by the griddle started yelling at me saying something about it not being her fault and that she just "makes them as they come." I continued to watch as she wandered around the kitchen talking to people and telling them what to do to get closed up. The fact that this miserable donkey could possibly be in charge was mind-boggling. Mind you, this is about 9:10pm and there are only 2-3 customers in the entire restaurant. We are not talking about a lunch rush here. I asked the obvious question on everyone's mind, "Can you make it now?" I glanced at my french fries that had now been sitting on the cold counter for about 15 minutes. So this wackjob started yelling at me for showing even the slightest frustration with her glaringly apparent stupidity. The two tickets for the subs I ordered were still sitting up on the rack waiting to be made. It was clear to everyone in the place that she had screwed up, but instead of admitting that and apologizing, she instead started barking at me about respect and that she didn't want to be treated that way....In front of my 11 year old son!! I replied, "How about, 'Sorry, Mr Customer. We'll get right on it.'" It's too bad one donkey has to ruin the lot, but she did and did hard. After calling two days in a row and never reaching a manager and receiving no call back, I opened a dispute with my credit card. Still waiting for it to be resolved. I decided to see how long this could go on (as this wasn't the first time they put me on hold under these circumstances) and after 13 minutes they picked the phone back up and summarily hung up on me. The whole we will only call your name once thing seems hostile. In a crowded restaurant lobby packed with people, screaming kids, and people on their phones (despite the sign posted to discourage this, which I love) it's hard to hear sometimes. If you don't call ahead when it's busy prepare to wait and wait some more. A chicken fajita wrap and a cheesesteak took over an hour to get. The staff wasn't extremely friendly but not rude either, just average, no problems there. I walked in and ordered chicken fingers with fries, and my boyfriend got the cheesesteak special. It came out fairly quickly, maybe 15 minutes. I really liked my meal and my boyfriend thought his was just okay, he said he didn't like the type of cheese they use. I've been back a few times since then and I call ahead, it's always ready when I go to pick it up.
