Came here for the first time despite the low reviews. Was pleasantly surprised at the service. When I came in they weren't very busy at the time but the person that did my pedicure was so friendly. My toes came out great, I will not post a picture of my feet due to the fact that no pedicure will make taking pictures of them not awkward hahaa. Shop is under new management and they made some improvements recently which turned out great! The shop looks very chic and modern now. I've personally gotten manis, pedis, and lash extensions done there and have not been disappointed so far. I am very particular and they are always willing to accommodate me. My biggest regret in a long, long time. I came here on Saturday for a quick manicure, as I was nearby. I should have known by the old, outdated color selection to head out of the door and make the drive to my normal spot. Unfortunately, I stayed. I paid $15 for the most painful, worst manicure of my life. The manicurist was done in about 10 minutes, hacked my cuticles, used a coarse foot file on my nails, and just about ground them down to nothing. My polish is chipping (3 days post-mani) and you can see the clear line where she declined to carry the top coat all the way to the edge. Just don't come here. Save yourself and your $$. read more

Its like wow- only because I hadn't been to T&C since like 2007 when it was on the other side of that mall corridor of the mall that's now some other Gamestop- even though there's another gamestop in the mall? I had been there before Years ago and I had stopped going for many reasons - they always seemed busy and people were stuck there forever, the staff had no idea what the hell was going on at all- all the time, squeezing tips and up-sells out of you, and bad pedicures. Since moving back to the area I haven't been back to T&C till last Friday night when my friend who lives out in Sturbridge wanted to meet there. As fore mentioned, they have moved and have changed the place completely since I last remembered. Its clean and I almost like the flower paint job. I really wanted to get an eyebrow wax but we were pressed for time... Next time! She got a a full set and I needed a mani badly but I still had 2 month old Gel Manicure residue on - UGH its depressing how seldom I can actually get down to the salon! Believe it when I tell you that my friend got a Full set FAST. SO fast I wasn't even ready to go dry off my perfectly manicured nails when she was! It was a breath of fresh air to walk into that place and get a nice mani done with design for less than 20 bucks! I'd have paid more than 35 for such at Creative nails. While I was having my Mani done - a girl right next to me having her nails done by the same owner I remember seeing years ago - (the one that was always rushing his customers out the door airbrush machine around his neck) Only this time, he was more like Mr Rogers with this kid, sooo nice and she told him all about her Christmas pageant she was doing at school. I came to Auburn mall to get my nails done. I only went to this place because they had cute designs on the walls. When I got there, I was told by the lady to pay early in case I don't like it. Okay? How come all the others I observed paid later after they were done? Weird. Then when I got my nails painted, I accidentally bumped one of my wet painted nails on the nail dryer. The lady who did my nails bad-mouthed me to her coworkers in her own language. She obviously know I didn't mean to, but she still talked about me like that; I understood everything she said in Vietnamese. I'm not very good at confrontation and I didn't like making scenes, so I kept my tears in. Then after a couple of mins, a worker told me I was done and that I can go home because they want to close up the shop fast. I had an inkling that I needed more time for my nails to dry, but I didn't care, I wanted to get out of the environment quickly. Obviously, my nails weren't "done". They were smudged up. Last Thursday I happened to be in the mall & had a fill done by Trina. The fill was fast although the airbrushed French was sloppily applied by the "gentleman" there. I figured for $20 bucks total I'd deal with it. This is not a place that I would ever recommend now. Today I was looking at my nails when I noticed a dark spot on my left ring finger. FUNGUS!!!!!!!!! Taking a closer look I see that when Trina did my filing she basically undid the seal between my nail & the powder. Great. My wife spent $97 on her and my little sister for their nails to be done yet the end result was crooked nails and my wife's got infected and was bleeding. The shapes are all different and not oval. It looks like I have blobs on my fingers. Many areas of my nails are not covered with polish. I also told her not to trim my toe nAils and she insisted to do it because they were "uneven" only she's the one who made them look like trapezoids. 60$ wasted. I went to the salon because they had kid chairs and thought it would be a fun thing to do with my daughter. We went on a Tuesday afternoon there was no one there I thought they would do a good job. I checked my daughters nails after we left and I saw they didn't even paint her nail completely, the sides were not painted on her nails. Was offered neither an apology nor a refund, even after I asked for both. Practically had to beg them just to take it off. They said it happened bc the polish was old. One of the men who works there straddled himself across two chairs, with bare feet and curled his disgusting toes around the armrest of the chairs that paying customers sit on. I had gone here 2 times before and they did quite an alright job. But this time was different. I would upload pictures but I don't have a way to at the moment. The wait time I was told was 45 minutes which was fine but I ended up waiting for 2 hours. The lady who did my full set of acrylics made 2 of my fingers bleed and was extremely rough. She was rushing as fast as she could to get them done. The girl getting her nails done next to me started at the exact same time and only had around 3 fingers done by the time I was completely done. I wanted square nails and most of them do not even look square. Also, the pinkie nail on my left hand is very crooked. I was then told to go over to a man to paint them. This man did a HORRIBLE job. Half of my nails are only painted down the middle. The sides of them have no polish on them whatsoever. There are also small bubbles in the polish on a few of my fingers and the polish is uneven and clumpy. When I tried to say that the sides of my nails were not painted, I was told they were and the man would not fix them. All in all, I will not go back here and I recommend anyone find a better place to go for a full set of acrylics. read more

If I could give a zero I would. I had a brow wax by a woman named Kim. That to my surprise was really good. She did my nails and they were acceptable. I went back for a fill 2 weeks later and had a guy. He did the fill and was not really paying attention to what he was doing. My nails were uneven and had lots of extra lumps under my nails. I wanted a purple french done. (Mind that I had previous white tips on that were visible). He did the french and each nail looked different. I had him restart and just do a full purple color. When I left I had purple on my nails and on the back of my fingers. He gave me $10 back because I was not happy with the end result. I refuse to go back to that place. I used to have Trina do my nails as well. Rude, pushy and incredibly condescending. She put a full set of nails on me, then when I went back for the second fill, told me I needed to have them taken off and redone as they were old. When I reminded her she had just done them, she ignored me. When I brought it to her attention that she needed to fill the sides in better as I don't wear my nails rounded or pointed, she gave me club nails. When I went back for the third fill, she did the same routine with the needing a new set. I told her no again and she replied "it's only 30 dolla". Don't think I need to pay someone to yell at me, and that is exactly what she does! I had been going to Trina from the time she started working there, begging me to get her clients because she had a family to feed and the owners were cheap. She did a great job in the beginning, but once she built her clients up, she just became rude. I left, and then after a few years, decided to try her again. Same frickin story. Trying to bleed money out of you for things you don't need. I got a FUNGUS too! They don't sanitize any of the instruments they use on one client after another. She does NOT like being told she did a crappy job, doesn't want to hear you ask her to fill in sides. Does not like it if you don't go back every TWO weeks and WILL let you know it. If you tell her that your nails are catching on material, to fill better, she tells you that you must be doing too much house work. I will never go to her again or the shop as they are all like this. The owner doesn't seem to give two hoots. The real pisser is when they ask you if you are paying with a debit or credit card, to TIP THEM IN CASH so they don't have to pay the percentage to the owner. Um, sorry, but you whip out a fill in 30 minutes for 15 bucks. Pretty good money if you ask me. DON'T TELL ME HOW TO TIP YOU!!! & what really made me fume is when I gave her a $3 tip for a crappy fill, she had the nerve to ask if she did something wrong! I needed a place to go to quickly get my nails done. People i know had gone before and i thought i would get decent service. I wanted a full set with white tips. I know the tips are already white but I've never gone anywhere where they did not redo the tip. Still, they looked nice until l the following day i started to notice bubbles under them getting larger and larger. Now only a week and a half later they are all peeling off. Having a full NEW set put on there is no reason they should be falling off after only a week and a half for any reason other that the fact that they rush through all of their customer. I'm talking bleeding cuticles, bubbled polish, rough edges, etc. The communication was horrible- she gave vague directions with pointing/hand-signals (I don't have this done often, so I was unaware of the steps and their order), and just made me feel stupid. I drove straight from the mall to the pharmacy and bought nail polish remover, emery boards, a buffer, and a couple other tools. I am in love with the work that the aesthetician Mary (Dao) does. I have very anemic eyebrows. Every time I come in, Mary does an excellent job shaping them into an arch. One of my employees came to work with a new manicure. She hasn't had her nails done in years, it was a birthday gift to herself. It looked okay but one of her nails just "fell off" a couple days later. Really? She asked T & C to replace it. They said "Sure, for ten dollars". Nothing like standing behind your work, huh? I went to the T & C at The Solomon Pond Mall. Disgusting and dirty. The nail tech kept wiping his nose on his sleeve. Pretty gross, I couldn't wait to get out of there.
