The best fro-yo/smoothie place I've been to in a very long time. I stopped in yesterday because it was super humid and I wanted something refreshing. The store had a lot delicious looking fruit smoothies so it was hard to pick. However, my pomegranate pick was absolutely delicious. As I was waiting, the owner and I got to chatting and he informed me he has been in business for over 30 years and I completely understand why! Ordered a large cup with vanilla and chocolate frozen yogurt, toppings were candied walnuts and cookie dough. The froyo was flavorful and had a good texture, wasn't melty like some other places. The walnuts were 10/10 and the cookie dough tasted very fresh and were soft. My boyfriend got scooped cookie dough froyo and had candy toppings. He said he liked his. Pretty good ice cream with unique flavors! My only complaint was the very small cramped waiting area and the surplus of teen workers. Id say I come to this place pretty often, never had a problem until now. The other day I came in with my son and there was this lady who was older with brown grayish hair, she took my order and when my son asked for a shiver she rolls her eyes and gives us a bit of an attitude. I did not know TCBY still existed. I used to go a bit when I was younger. It was either there or Carvel. So when I passed by, I figured I would have to head back. After years of ice cream, the first lick was a little shocking. I had forgotten that they were so different. It almost had a sour edge to it. I ordered my old standby of a waffle cone and picked up a sundae for the wife. The one thing they did that was different than the ice cream places I have been to lately was they used the soft serve to create a edge and put the topics in the middle before covering it up. I had recently visited this location and bought the prepackaged ice cream pints. One of the flavors I bought had a really bad taste almost as if it was about to expire. I called the store and spoke to someone who was related to the owner I'm assuming and told them about the ice cream and he didn't really have a response. He told me that toward the end of ice cream mix in whatever machine they use, it starts to taste a little weird so that could be why. If they know that then why would they proceed to sell it? The only reason why I come here, is because of the white chocolate mousse fro-yo, otherwise it's nothing special. This particular flavor is always available and doesn't taste like any other fro-yo I've ever had, but otherwise, everything is just like any where else, it's just crazy expensive. 4 days later and still angry for the way we were treated on Friday night. We have been going to TCBY forever. It was more expensive than other ice cream places, and clearly more pricey than going to Waldbaums and picking up a half gallon, but you couldn't beat the flavor of the yogurt. Over the years, self-serve franchises have been popping up all over the place and while they are fun, no yogurt beats TCBY in my opinion. Let me preface this by saying that my boyfriend was with us, visiting Long Island for the first time and I planned on bringing him to our favorite spots. The employees at TCBY have always been great in the past and their product consistent. So, in we go at 10:45, 15 minutes before they close. We walk in, four young females are behind the counter and when we walk in they all looked at one another with the, "I cannot believe they just walked through the door 15 minutes before we close" face. I got the hint so I said, "Are you closed?" to which I received a reply of, "You've got 10 minutes." HOLD THE PHONE. Seriously??? That's how a customer is supposed to be spoken to? I looked at my sisters and signaled that I wanted to leave. They reminded me that it was late in the night and there probably wouldn't be other frozen yogurt places open by the time we left and arrived at a different location. We decided to stay. Before we could approach the counter and take a look at the flavors they offered that evening a girl said, "What can I get you." Notice the lack of question mark in that quotation; she said it in an aggravated statement, not so much in question form. I decided to play along because I have a real problem with people who work in the customer service industry who have zero customer service skills and complete lack of consideration for the owners of the place who would most likely have been mortified if they saw how we were being treated while they weren't there. So I said, "Not sure, we haven't looked at the menu yet, but I see you have swiss almond chocolate, could I try that." Oh it was over at the point. The girl turned around without saying a word and poured a taste (WHICH TCBY IS KNOWN TO ALWAYS DO). She handed it to me and said once again, "What do you want." At that point, I called my Dad which I had planned on doing beforehand to tell him what flavors they had because we were placing an order for him and someone else. I quickly read him the flavors and the second the girl realized what i was doing she actually HUFFED out loud. My blood was boiling. Boiling. My sisters saw me getting upset. I looked at my boyfriend who also works in the restaurant/customer service industry and his jaw dropped and agreed that he was stunned as an spectator to observe what was happening. I wanted a shiver but noticed that the toppings that are usually in containers behind the window were all gone. I asked the girl if she had any toppings to which she replied, "No we don't." Funny to me, because half a second prior to this conversation, my sister ordered her yogurt with cookie dough on top. In addition to that, there were small plastic containers lined on the top of the counter with toppings. They most CERTAINLY did have toppings, the girl assisting me just couldn't be bothered. I ordered a large caramel frozen yogurt and after she filled the cup, she came back and asked if I wanted anything on it. Seriously? A moment earlier, she told me she didn't have toppings. So, I replied, "Well, I don't know what else would go on that because you said you don't have toppings." The girl just turned around and continued taking the orders for the rest of the group. As we were ordering, THREE more groups of people walked in. You know, because it was only 10:50 and they close at 11 and all......There's a reason for closing hours, it means you close then, not before. So, I get to the cashier and count, only 5 cups of yogurt even though we placed 6 orders. The colors all looked the same and none of them were labeled so I asked the girl what each of the cups were to find out which order was missing. The girl was of course not happy with this request and read them off like I was the only being crazy for asking. We realized we were missing the large caramel so she turned around to make it. As she swung back again to place the caramel on the table, a girl from the other side had a large caramel in her hand and said that she had left this on the other side. Not a word was spoken, but we now had 7 yogurt in front of us instead of the 6 we ordered. So, what do you do as the cashier in this instance? Honestly, the mistake was made by TCBY so I would give the customer the extra yogurt and of course NOT charge them because we didn't want 7, we only asked for 6 OR I would just throw the extra out or save it for one of the employees. What you absolutely do NOT do is stay in silence and CHARGE the customer for the mistake as if I wouldn't notice. I didn't want to cause a scene so I paid walked away and probably won't return. read more

This location is small even though they relocated to the nearby strip of stores. I thought it would look nicer since they moved but it's just ok. I do enjoy TCBY though, the vanilla is my favorite. They have a separate freezer case with ice cream sandwiches, cones, and other frozen goodies. It's not self serve here, young girls behind the counter make it for you. They were friendly even though there was a big (and rude/annoying) group inside during my visit. I like the self serve, modern, cleaner TCBY locations down South a lot better. My sister wanted TCBY so we came here. We were in and out and I was happy to eat my frozen yogurt in the comfort of my home. I'd come back if I'm in the area and craving fro-yo but otherwise I'll stick to Yogurtini. They use the same fro-yo supplier as TCBY! read more

Sure it's a chain, but this place is somewhat of a shrine for our family (bias +1). I've seen this TCBY go through several owners and I wouldn't be surprised if my first chocolate/vanilla swirl ever came from here. TCBY has a classic formula. I'm a chocoholic and no chocolate yogurt can match TCBY's. They usually have at least one funky yogurt flavor here, like a lime or strawberry something (used to be sorbet), which I usually patronize. The portions are usually generous and the service is great when the college-aged kids aren't there. This is my favorite place to get ice cream/yogurt (whatever you wanna call it)! The people are so nice and always generous with sampling different flavors. The portions are always filled to the max. They never skimp! My go to is white choc mousse :) it has been since I've been a kid. I hope this location stays open forever! read more

I love TCBY and I have been coming to this location for many years now. However, after this past visit today I will not be visiting this store again. One problem is that the prices have significantly gone up. But that's not even the biggest issue it is that they don't even fill the ice cream to the top of the container. I ordered two shivers and after the girl mixed it she smoothed down the ice cream and wiped off at least two huge spoonfuls off the top and than proceeded to throw it out. I mean for the $6 you can at least leave all the ice cream instead of throwing it away, that's such a waste. I am so disappointed. read more

Thy didn't tell us until after it was made that toppings were 90 cents each and not included in the coupon, which was not stated on the coupon. We then spoke to the manager who didn't offer any bit of a refund or anything except for that she will let them know. Horrible service. read more
