Great pastry/ baked goods cafe. Small place with small awkward parking lot. Staff are friendly and answer questions. They have a. Pretty extensive menu , with lunch and breakfast items as well. But come early if you have something specific you want. They have lots of things but bake just enough for a day so they often are out of things. This is so everything is fresh. Like we got the last chocolate babka, and they didn't have the birthday cake scone with cream cheese frosting or pumpkin muffin. We came for brunch and they had a lot. Another time, an hour before closing they are out of almost everything. So keep in mind. I think you can call ahead and order . They won't give you just a cup of water, you MUST buy a bottle of water, a little annoying when you spend a lot of money, but oh well. Great food.

The options here are endless!! Small and tight parking lot so be careful. I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant so VERY tight for me. The service is very very good. I had a million questions since it was my first time. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items to choose from. I ordered an apple crumb pie and an eggplant burrata pie. They don't have apple crumb on the menu so make sure you ask... they only have apple on the menu. I initially wanted the sweet potatoes pie and the s'mores but they didn't have either :( I guess that's why they take call ahead. Good to know for next time. The ambiance inside and outside is very cute. Patio outside and countless tables inside. Lots of beautiful flowers outside too. Wide variety of ice cream, coffeee drinks, muffins, sweet pies, and regular pies. A L O T to choose from! Pricey though, one pie was $25 the other was $35 and the $15 lunch special of a sandwhich, drink and a side cake to $76

The Savory Dutch and Hometown Madame

Great find and will be returning to sample more soon. Particularly looking to try some pies when I have more room in my stomach. I tried two breakfast items: the hometown madame and the savory dutch. Both were balanced and had good flavors. The savory dutch is a tad lighter and was generally better for me for a breakfast item, but both were tasty. I did try a pistachio crueller latte but it was pretty weak on the pistachio flavor and I'm unsure what the crueller part of the name meant. Would pass on the lattes. It's a pretty bustling spot. Line is a tad confusing. Goes from the displays towards the counter rather than from the direction of the door. I wish the staff cleaned tables between users but it's kind of a self serve establishment. There is parking in both the front and the back of the building.

Such a cute spot! Everyone working there was really nice and took their time to explain. My bf and I came here for breakfast, we both got the hometown burrito and omg was it amazing. We loved how fresh everything tasted especially the tortilla. It was so big I couldn't finish the whole thing. I also got the birthday cake iced latte and it was delicious, I loved the garnishing on the cup. Would love to come back and try their pies!

Small bake shop down in centerport with excellent food, coffee and pastries with large portions well worth the price! You can dine inside however on the weekends it's packed so plan accordingly. My on the go, go to sandwich here is the little neck sandwich, this past weekend I finally tried the chicken and waffles and they def didn't disappoint!

    Birthday and Biscoff Scones

Haven't had anything I didn't like from Hometown Bakeshop. Pies, savory and sweet (must try) breakfast burritos with the homemade flatbread (delicious) Scones (Birthday, my favorite). The savory or sweet dutch baby.. YES!! Just go you won't be disappointed Hardworking staff, can get crowded on the weekends but all worth it!!

Small bake shop located in the heart of Centerport. It's hit or miss if you find a place to sit because the line is usually out the door, especially on the weekends! They have some great breakfast deals. Their biscuits are absolutely delicious! A friend bought a chocolate cake from them and everyone loved it as well.

This is a cute little shop in the tightest shopping center. They have limited parking. But once you get a spot, they have cute indoor and outdoor seating. The staff works quick. Inside is very small. They have pastries, sandwiches, soups and coffees. They have a beautiful spread of bars, such as the pumpkin bars, cheesecake (which I ordered), berry, blondie. They have doughnuts, they have this strawberry glazed one with a strawberry on top. Many types of pot pies/Shepards pies. If you like the classic chicken pot pie or even a brisket one that looked amazing. The muffins looked so beautiful and fresh. They had a case of soup and kept making more, looked so delishious. I ordered a veggie bomb, it was so good! It has a tomato on top underneath was pesto sauce. Inside it has some squash which was amazing. I loved it. As for the cheesecake and pumpkin bars, they were so good! Not too sweet. I cannot wait to go back and try more stuff!

Great little food spot and bakery I've been coming to for years. The items all have that homemade quality but are professionally concocted, they offer many unique savory pies and specialty items. The donuts are to die for. Like any good bakery items sell out quickly so you need to get there early. If you are dining in seating is limited and parking while ample can be tight so know all this before finding a reason to complain. Some of the employees can sometimes seem confused, not sure why but it seems to happen when placing orders which is done at the counter where you order and pay, the food and baked items make it all worth a trip from anywhere.

The food was incredible and large portions. The drinks were amazing I added an extra scoop of matcha and the chai was perfect defintley strong notes of cinnamon. The service was quick and efficient, even with a line it never felt hectic. We sat outside to enjoy our meal and it was a beautiful day outside I have to give this place a 10/10.

The cinnamon roll was ginormous it was so delicious and was more than enough for two people. I ordered an omelet with a garlic whip sauce. I really liked the flavor of the garlic sauce but I could've done with less. The portion was good and there were lots of options for breakfast foods and for pastries. There are a good amount of seats if you want to sit down and eat there.

Such an anxiety provoking environment. The line, is before the menu or the case of options. You can't see anything you want to order and you don't know what they have and dont have. On a Sunday, a little before 1pm they were already out of their advertised crueler donuts that I came for. I ended up getting a donut just with some sugar on it, a pistachio crueler iced latte and a bacon egg and cheese on focaccia. There are so many tables in such a little space, like 20 when there should be 10. The line of people is literally on top of all the tables and everyone standing waiting is leaning on them. If you sit closer to the to the entrance door, it's even worse and suffocating. You could hardly squeeze through between the tables to get to the pick up section. Slow to prep the food and drinks, I understand the breakfast sandwich but the drink took forever. I spilled some of it trying to get back to where we were sitting. They put only like 2 ice cubes so the drink was warm quickly. While the sandwich was pretty good, I'd def never plan on eating or drinking inside here. Wish they would figure out some way for crowd control, like have the line half wait outside the cafe and then call people in when there is space. I would only do take out and try to see if they do call aheads. A good breakfast sandwich doesn't isn't worth being packed like sardines and eating like that too.

Burnt butter and salt pie, to know it is to love it. Also try their savory pies. Really can't go wrong with anything here.

Amazing pies, especially apple, Banana crème and coconut. S'mores bars are delicious. Cinnamon buns are the best.

This includes the olive oil cake, bbq pulled pork nachos, crispy Brussel sprouts, smash burger (although not consistent in size), and chicken picante. The restaurant is relatively new (just reached third year anniversary), so perhaps the kitchen needed more time to prepare dishes more consistently. For the most part the food now matches the social media hype. TIP: Others have recently noted slow service, incorrect orders. I have been visiting at the start of dinner service, and have not encountered this, so some of these issues may potentially be avoided by arriving before inexperienced service staff are overwhelmed. Most people will be seated on second floor which requires walking up a staircase. If special accommodation is needed I suggest informing restaurant in advance. There is some seating downstairs, but depending of time and day this area (bar) can get uncomfortably loud.
