While we were in the downtown Northport area, we came across the bakery and decided to see what it was all about. It looked cute and saw there was a bunch of people inside. They had a bunch of different types of pastries as well as sandwiches, soups, and comfort foods. We were in line waiting on our order to be completed by a staff member and there was a customer behind us that rudely cut in to get his order from another staff member. The customer did not care and I confronted him about it since we were in line first. When the one that was helping us came back, she was very surprised that there was another staff member was at the register instead of her. It was busy and I get that it's a popular place in the area for customers to come in for a coffee and a bite to eat. I find that it was hectic behind the counter with the staff members and how customers were being handled that were waiting in line since it wasn't organized. It has a nice view of the water if you want to sit outside across the street from the bakery instead of inside the bakery itself.

The best american flag custard tart ever! It was delicious and a huge hit at a small fourth of july get together. The apple pie was also popular!

We had Coppenhagen Bakery make a special occasion cake for 50 people. Marie was a pleasure to work with, so helpful and accomodating. Our guests raved about the cake. Delicious flavor, fresh fruit and beautifully decorated-exactly as we requested. Very fair price for such a wonderful cake!

Ordered a birthday cake- staff was very professional, cake was ready right on time and absolutely fantastic! Tres leches cake with fruit on top, not extremely milky like you might have at a restaurant but very moist anyway. Instead of super sweet frosting was topped with fresh whipped cream. We couldn't wait to eat the leftover cake the next day . Thank you! Husband was very pleased with his birthday desert!

Dry-ass, gross apple cake. Eating sand would be better.

Copenhagen Bakery is awful in every way possible. First, nothing is labeled in the cases. So, the long line goes slower than it needs to because every single customer has to ask a bunch of questions when it's their turn, instead of simply ordering. Imagine hearing "What's that? What's that?" with people pointing over and over while you're waiting in a long line. Jeez, get some signs. Second, everything we ordered sucked. The big cinnamon puff pastry had almost no cinnamon. Bland. The apple cake was so f**king dry that it was nearly inedible (we ordered a loaf, picked at a slice and tossed the rest of the loaf). The blueberry turnover was just plain bad. The dough is super thick and there is almost no blueberry filling, so it was gross and dry. Third, we ordered and paid for an additional pastry that didn't end up in our bag. It probably sucked, so no loss. I'm just sorry I paid for it. This bakery is awful.

    Cakes in case.

Chaotic at lunch and rather confusing order process. Nevertheless, the sandwiches were excellent, well stuffed and between 2 slices of exceptional bread. One on Focaccia; the other on Italian. Across the street is a park on the harbor with picnic tables. A little adventure on a Summer Day.

We ordered egg sandwiches on Kaiser roll. The egg sandwiches arrived on something but not a Kaiser roll perhaps a soft bagel! The eggs were over cooked. What happened!!!! Would not order again. Last time we ordered, we had delicious rolls with runny egg. So disappointing.

I love this bakery. The danish's are a huge hit at the office. The staff are super helpful and the portions are great. I have yet to have a bad thing from Copenhagen. This is one of the best bakery's I've been to.

Busy place but we'll organized with quick friendly service. Also, food at the restaurant side came quickly and nice size portions.

The Apple Cider Loaf was good. I loved the cinnamon sugar topping and the loaf was perfectly baked. Now, this Vegan Blondie... Holy Cannoli. You need to run here and get this!!! The two girls behind the counter were so sweet, welcoming and helpful. I told them I've never been and they took the time to go over the menu and make suggestions. I ordered a toasted marshmallow latte and an açaí bowl. I didn't get a toasted marshmallow taste, but it was still good. The açaí bowl was very good. They have a little menu that you can pick and choose what you want in your bowl. I added some chocolate chips and coconut. It was so fresh, flavorful and filling. There's ample seating and WiFi available. I was able to get some work done while in a peaceful environment. For my medium latte and açaí bowl it was about $15. I'd say that's very reasonable. I will definitely return next time I'm in the area.

They do such a great job of utilizing the building's unique layout, with the front half of the store dedicated to literature (adult and YA on the right, children's on the left) and the back half functioning as a space for people of all ages to sit, read, and hang out. In the back on the right side of the store, there are plenty of comfy chairs to settle into and read, and over on the left side is an adorable children's storytime space! In terms of titles, they have a wide and impressive variety- especially considering how new they are! I bought Amy Tan's "The Backyard Bird Chronicles," and was definitely intrigued by other titles from authors I hadn't seen before. They have new indie, works in translation, cloth bound classics, and book tok favorites. Everything is so well organized and clean as well! Finally, the owner, Jennifer, and her family, are so incredibly kind and helpful!! They clearly care so much about what they do, and about their role in the community- as evidenced by their showcasing local art from the nearby firefly gallery, and potentially partnering with a local coffee shop in their bar towards the back of the store! Overall I think I speak for everyone when I say that I am so excited to see Northport Books grow, as a book store and thriving community center!!

Pricing is reasonable, shop has an upstate or even Vermont feeling. Staff is kind and patient. Polite. Lemme talk about the food for a second. Got the Feeling Tot burrito. Subbed cheddar for smoke Gouda and added bacon. HOLY HELL. This burrito brought up emotions I haven't felt for a breakfast in centuries. Warm and melty, it wasn't like any of these greasy, wet, fat covered offerings from other delis or breakfast shops around the island. Or that I've had in NY in general. They chopped the bacon, which let's be serious here, is the only way to do it. Eggs were fluffy, light. Cheese was nothing short of smoked magnificence. But the pièce de résistance, the glue that brings your taste buds to their knees, the tots. If you don't like tots, you're wrong. And these tots were somehow crispy and soft. No oil, no sog. The chipotle sauce brings it all home and then they grill the whole damn thing and serve it to you on a platter of gold and diamonds. At least that's how it felt. Do I recommend this? Uh duhhhhhh. 5 stars. All day.
