    a receipt for a restaurant

Awful. I watched the employee serve the family in front of us - she grabbed the cones with no gloves on nor did she wrap a napkin around the cone. My son even noticed it. When it was our turn, a different employee helped us and my son ordered his Oreo in a cake cone and before I could ask her to not take the cone that her co-worker had already touched with her bare hand, she did the same thing? I then politely asked her to please get a new cone and not touch it with her bare hands. She looked completely baffled and confused as to how she would get a cone without touching it. I told her she could just wrap a napkin around it. Why we didn't leave, I have no idea. Then- we paid and I noticed that I was charged for the small cups and then charged separately for the plain, cake cones (NOT waffle cones.) Why did I have to pay extra for the cake cone? She didn't even use a cup- the yogurt was just served in the cone. Can you please explain that? Why did I pay for a CUP of yogurt and then an additional charge for a cone. Would I have been charged extra for the germs if I hadn't asked for her to use a napkin when touching the cone? I'd love to hear from the owner. If you'd like to discuss the sanitary issues with your employees, let me know. I'm happy to give you the date and time of my visit in addition to employee descriptions. You certainly wouldn't want someone from the health department to have the same experience!

Rude staff every time we go. I just went and they had shut down much earlier than stated hours. Their employees are a mess.

I've been a fan of this shop for many years. Personally, I think the fro yo is much smoother than any of the self service options.

I've been to other tcby where it was self service. This one you order at the counter and they charge extra for each topping.

What a great cake shop! I found the shop through Yelp and was coming into order a custom…read moregluten-free cake for a birthday celebration coming up. Not knowing exactly what I was looking for, the staff were outstanding assisting me with what I needed. I placed the order and paid for the cake and was about to leave when I decided that I wanted a treat for myself and I got a triple chocolate cheesecake cupcake which was out of this world. When I got home, I found out the birthday girl wanted an all chocolate cake and knowing that that was an option, I called the store back and asked if there was a way that we could modify what I had ordered for something else. Since it was more than a week before the cake was being picked up, they said it was no problem. Really great store, super location, delicious cake items, and they even have dog biscuits and pupcakes for our furry friends. Can't say enough about this place and I highly recommend to visit here if you're looking for a cake for a special occasion and if you need a gluten-free cake they have many options for you to choose from. The cake prices are reasonable here and this will be my place of choice not only now but for the future. I highly recommend a visit here.

Seating: The space is not big enough to host people but there's a table or two for pairs right outside. Vibes: Welcome to Mid-Govans, Baltimore! It's a grit and grind area but definitely a nice local residential spot - a diverse area with some nice local gems. Jinji's shop is pretty nice - small intimate but vibrant! I dig the neo-soul music playing and the see through window so you get a glimpse behind the scenes. FOOD/DRINKS: Date Poppers (Recommend) Dates filled with cacao nibs, honey, sea salt, and dark chocolate. I enjoyed the natural sweetness and the chew texture of the dates. Teh cacao nibs gave a nice crunch with an earthy flavor. Peanut Butter Turkish Figs (Recommend) (3 per person) Figs stuffed with creamy peanut butter ganache and enrobed in rich dark chocolate. I can see why they limited this per person. Soft, chewy, and sweet figs with a nice caramel touch to it. The peanbut btter ganache was smooth and nutty and the dark chcolate helped bring some good balance. CUSTOMER SERVICE: I worked with Guy (father of Jinji). Great guy that was very professional and personable TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Ooooi! If you're looking for some elevated local chocolate, this is your spot. Yes it's a bit higher than your usual chocolate shop but that's what you pay for. When in Baltimore, do consider visiting this place. I wish Jinji and her business all the best. #SupportBlackOwnedBusinesses TIPS: * Ask about their limited-edition or seasonal bars -- they rotate in creative flavors and specialty pieces. * They got vegan options too!

Pros: The taste was amazing, especially the lemon cheesecake. They do a lot of business and have a lot of repeated customers. The neighborhood was in a better part of town. Cons: While the person that helped us was smiling, she really didn't give that welcoming and suggestive help. Their front doors are really small, so if you are a larger person, you will need to go in sideways. Selection was small. Overall it was okay but nothing I would go out of my way to return to.

You order at a kiosk thing, and then they call up your number when your order is ready. My husband and I came here at almost 1 pm on a Monday. We were the only customers in there the whole time. We got the soft serve twist, a peach oolong crepe cake, and an egg waffle. The egg waffle was great best thing. It was made fresh and crispy on the outside. The peach oolong crepe cake slice was still frozen. They had been open for an hour at that point. We decided to just take it home so it could thaw a little bit. The soft serve was fine. The matcha part was very frozen. Not soft serve texture. The milk part of it was softer and better. I think it might be better to go later in the afternoon when everything isn't frozen still. It wasn't bad but I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

Maybe that's because it doesn't say Gong Cha on the storefront (it says The Sweetest Spot)! But once I realized it was nearby (thank you, Google Maps), I stopped by over lunch last week. If you've been to a Gong Cha location before, you know that it has a large menu - with way too many choices, an overwhelming number of choices! But that can be great once you get familiar with the menu. Until then, I'll just panic order and enjoy what I get. Last week that was a Strawberry Green Tea, which was delicious. I love that everything is customizable (I think I got 0% added sugar and 25% ice in mine last week). Now that I know it's there, I'm sure I'll be back!
