I went to UN Plaza and dealt with MR. ASHLEY. My friend gave me $400 cash which is retail price without the TAX from the Apple store. I asked Ashley what is the best price with him not knowing what my method would I be using to pay to purchase the iPhone. Ashley told me if I pay him $400 in cash that I don't have to pay sales tax because he doesn't agree that tax should be paid in this country. Ashley didn't have it in stock so he phoned his 8 year old daughter to pick it up and waited 15 minutes. I was told by his employee that I need to finish the deal on the street because he was getting audited in the back of the store. He told me that he didn't want the Tax dept. to know what was going on. I felt like I was being bamboozled so I took a picture of him delivering me the phone outside around the corner to protect myself just incase. When I got home the phone was in a different language either from Iran or Pakistan. I had to come back the next day and spend almost a half day for him to fix this. My time is precious so I asked for a refund because he couldn't figure it out after 4 hours waiting. He refused and told me that I will have to wait for him to sell the phone than he will take a 25% restocking fee once he sold it. It has been 2 months without a refund. Mr. Ashley is very PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE and I still can't for the life of me figure out how he still owns a business. I was robbed, lied to and deceived! My TAX friend is doing everything in his power to remove this BAD APPLE from the tree. I don't want to see this happen to someone else. **** STAY AWAY ****

Went in on August 10th to connect my new iPhone, what should have been a simple process and taken…read moreabout 15 minutes turned into 2 hours with zero results. Apparently they were unable to connect my phone because I had purchased it in Europe. this was despite assurances from multiple apple employees that the phone was exactly the same in terms of hardware and software, was unlocked, and that there shouldn't be any issue connecting it. For whatever reason they were completely unable to figure out what the issue was and far worse, did not seem to care at all, were completely uninterested in understanding what the problem was or that there could be a solution, even though the employee admitted to me that he had other customers with the same issue. So after 2 hours of no results and being almost completely ignored after the first 15 minutes I was there with zero explanation of what the encountered problem was, the best I got was "our systems aren't picking your phone up" their "best" suggestion was to return the phone and purchase a new one from them. So the next day I went to the apple store and lo and behold within fifteen minutes they had my phone activated with verizon. According to the apple store employees most Verizon employees have no idea what they're doing and are simply there to try to take your money however they can. After my experience I would have to agree. Overall the employees at jet verizon, also known as Russell cellular were lazy, inattentive, I knowledgeable and completely unable to solve a problem as soon as any difficulties were encountered. I would highly recommend going anywhere else for cellphone related inquiries. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is they at least tried somewhat, yet completely failed, to help.
