To be transparent with costs and services: I paid for a diagnosis ($99), a new battery ($52), and repairs/replacements for my keyboard, webcam, computer screen, and whatever else was messed up ($399). Even though it seemed like a lot, it really is not when you think about the context. --I got to keep my 7-year-old computer that I LOVE, and now it feels brand new. He doesn't mind answering questions and engaging with the client. As with any technology, one never really knows what the issue might be that is causing the problem. At the outset, Omid thought it might be the fuser but after testing the printing using the bypass paper tray, and the print job completing, he quickly ruled out it being a fuser issue. At this point he did some research on his phone and then did a soft reset on the printer. Unbelievably it resolved my printer printing issue that I was having from using the main paper tray. He couldn't be sure as to why the printer settings were corrupted and had to be reset, but who cares at this point because I had been faced with buying a fuser, a new printer or any other expensive part. Most importantly I didn't have to continue going to the library to print anymore at $.15/page. I highly recommend Omid and his company.
