His wife searched Yelp and found this shop with good reviews and had the Prius towed there (unfortunately I was also out of town - because I suspect the Prius only needed a new 12V battery). She paid $1,374 for the "repairs" but the car was still not working right and the VSC warning light was on! The memo (see attached) on the invoice said: "VSC light still on, 2 codes still present during scan, C1231 steering angle sensor, possible clock spring??? & B1432 passenger solar sensor circuit. Further diagnosis recommended" Can you imagine what the costs would have been if my son would have brought the car back for "further diagnosis"? I checked it out myself and found that there were two bad fuses when they said they replaced the main fusible link/block for more $$. Guess what, I replaced the fuses and everything works perfectly. I can understand paying for services, people need to make a living. However, in this case, it is more than dishonesty. I have nothing to gain by writing this review, it's water under the bridge but wanted to spend the time doing it so that others don't get scammed.

I drive a 2010 BMW, 6-speed manual, which is an absolute joy to drive. This type of car, sadly, is something BMW no longer produces, and I intend to keep it as long as possible. I've trusted Peter Pan almost exclusively for service since 2011, and I genuinely believe that is why this car is still in such great condition today. Recently, after passing 130,000 miles, I ran into a major issue: the car began popping out of first gear into neutral. It quickly became uncomfortable and no longer enjoyable to drive. I had a tough decision to make: move on from the car or invest a significant amount of money into replacing the transmission. I chose the latter, a factory-certified, rebuilt BMW transmission with a 2-year warranty, which is the closest option to the original. Three hours later, I received a call from David with a clear update on what they found and the next steps for repair. When I initially arrived, he asked if I had an extended warranty so he could start a claim. By the time he followed up, he had already taken care of everything and was just waiting for approval, which I really appreciated. About an hour later, David called back to let me know the warranty work had been approved. He also informed me that the required part had been ordered and was expected to arrive Friday or possibly Monday. I let him know they could keep the truck over the weekend, with the hope it would be ready sometime the following week. To my surprise, I received a call from David at 3:30 p.m. the very next day (Friday) letting me know the repair was already completed and my vehicle was ready for pickup at my convenience. It's been there ever since. * On the second time, Putnam Dodge diagnosed my 2018 Ram 1500 with engine block damage; warranty coverage had been denied after a wrong faulty head gasket repair & diagnosis. * You requested a full refund of $4,000 paid for the unsuccessful head gasket repair and to pick up the truck as-is. * Following a second warranty inspection in June, the claim was denied again but, now for a different reason, due to "failure due to continued operation." * Technician is currently awaiting final direction from his manager, Peter, regarding your refund request; he expects an update soon. It's July 21 of 2026. No repair, no coverage, no refund and I can't even have my car back after multiple request to release it. I've been paying insurance, registration and I had to pay $4k in cash for a wrong diagnostic and for a service that didn't even work.
