She was totally on top of us I had the lobster pasta and friend had the ahi tacos. They did not skimp on portions. The tacos were so full of tuna it has hard to keep it all inside the shell! So very tasty and extremely fresh ahi for sure. The lobster pasta went beyond my expectations! The pasta was definitely homemade and cooked to the perfect texture. The sauce was not over powering yet very tasty for sure. And the lobster meat. Not sprinkled in like other places. Absolutely not! There was a hefty amount of lobster for sure! They did not hold back. This would be good for a girls night out or a very nice dinner date place. The location in downtown is very central to everything you can think of and public parking is near by.

They offer a full bar and also a coffee place with pastries and other baked goods. They seem to be connected to a hotel. The restrooms were up a few flights of stairs or you can use the elevator to the 2nd floor. I didn't know that. The upstairs portion could be rented out for special occasions or events. Our server was super friendly and helpful. She recommended a couple of her favorite smoothies. I ordered the Sweet Corn Cake Benedict: poached eggs, jalapeño cheddar corn cakes, avocado, tomato & corn salsa (4/5). I liked and enjoyed my breakfast, which was fresh and light. Berry Basil Smoothie: blueberry, strawberry, basil, banana, agave, pomegranate, coconut water, lime juice (4/5). This was very delicious. My coworkers order the Everything Sandwich: everything cream cheese, peppered bacon, baby kale, roasted roma tomatoes (4/5). Flavorful, with a light freshness of all the ingredients. My other coworker ordered a side of Breakfast Potatoes & a Detox Juice: acai, pomegranate, coconut water, lime. Both really liked the breakfast potatoes, which had a crisp exterior crunch yet soft and creamy inside. Come check them out. Support your local business.

When we walked into the Marriott we were greeted by a kind employee in the lobby who walked us over to the restaurant. We had a wonderfull waitress in Heaven and when the wife wanted the fresh pressed juice with a shot of vodka on the side she made it happen :) . For the first time I went non-alcoholic! That green juice was so good I had another. Now for the food: Deviled eggs, crab croquettes, grilled cabbage salad and shrimp tacos all pleased the palate! This was a great breakfast and it was nice to see the manager go over to the patrons to see that we were all taken care of. Iff you are in Austin please swing thru for good food and great service!

Our server didn't give us time to settle in, look over the menu, or enjoy our drinks and appetizers at our own pace. We felt like he wanted to rush through the service, and when we asked for a bit more time, he seemed annoyed. The prices are high for the quality and portion sizes you get, even for a hotel restaurant. We ordered the burrata and spicy tuna bruschetta -- both were good, especially the bruschetta. Our party also ordered the filet mignon, Scottish salmon, and rotisserie chicken. The steak was overcooked. The salmon was good, while the chicken looked pale and had an okay flavor. The key lime pie had a very hard crust (possibly stale?), and the sorbet was just okay. Overall, the service was not as welcoming as we expected and made us feel rushed to finish. The prices also do not feel proportionate to what you get. I don't think we would come back, especially with so many other options around.

The food was incredibly creative while still feeling approachable and shareable. Every dish felt thoughtful and unique without being overcomplicated. The burrata with curry was unreal, the beet hummus was packed with flavor, the shrimp was perfect, and the desserts completely lived up to the hype. One of those menus where you immediately want to order more just to try everything. The atmosphere is also part of what makes it special. Tucked into a former laundromat in a quiet neighborhood, it has that effortlessly cool Austin feel. It was charming, relaxed, and unexpected. And the staff truly elevated the experience. Warm, polished, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling pretentious. Absolutely worth the short drive from the airport area.

The asparagus Benny just made so much sense when you think about it. Eggs Benedict requires hollandaise and asparagus with hollandaise is always delicious. Why not put it all together for the best benny I've had in a long time? Just delicious! Lattes were cute and the perfect start to a brunch meal. We added lavender to mine and a little brown sugar flavor to hers. Good stuff! Turkish egg? Yep, exactly what I was thinking. What in the world is that. I don't know if it was a traditional dish but what an explosion of flavor. Put it all together on a perfectly toasted piece of bread and bam! Perfect accompaniment to a perfect brunch. Last but not least the Salmon Gravlax. Looks simple but by no means did it taste simple. Caviar on a buttery spread. Spicy pickles, perfectly cooked egg, seasoned tomatoes, rye bread. None of these are special in themselves but when combined, yes! Amazingness! Oh and the service? Wonderful! Attentive, kind, knowledgeable and welcoming. Space? Super cute! Felt like we were in a vacation town somewhere in Florida. Very retro, cool. Loved everything about this place. Zero complaints. Millions of compliments. Highly recommend!

The best item we got was the steak tartare- so if you are there, try it out. The other items were under seasoned severely. Because the waiter was so not interested, I had to go grab salt myself. Very handsome man, if only he would smile. It was a Wednesday night so perhaps they were under staffed that night & really, you just never know the day someone's had. Way too citrusy oddly dressing on the Caesar. The shrimp were cooked well but the dressing was so disappointing & certainly not Caesar. (The food has never been exceptional - oh, how I wish it was good. I love seafood & it's a lovely location that I really, really want to fall in love with.) We are at the Omni about 4-5 times a year - it's beautiful - highly recommend the overall experience. For food however, do yourself a favor and head to Bob's for great food or Crenshaw's for more casual options (great fish & ships, salads with grilled shrimp & sandwiches). We both walked out saying, this is the last time because there are just so many other options nearby.

The menu changes seasonally which is always a good sign that fresh, high-quality ingredients are being used. This visit, I went with the three-course option for $55: the ahi tuna tataki, Georges Bank scallops and blue corn pudding. Everything was excellent, but the tuna was the clear standout as the presentation alone is a real showstopper. My only minor critique was the tomatoes in the scallop dish, which were a bit too large and ripe for my taste. That said, the service here is consistently impressive. I especially appreciated that the manager stopped by to introduce himself, a thoughtful touch you don't see very often anymore. They also validate parking which makes it easy to visit, especially if you're pairing dinner with something else nearby. I'm already looking forward to seeing what new dishes they roll out next season.

Waitress (117/jmurphy) was very friendly greeting us, explaining the specials, and taking our drink order. We explained that we were in a bit of a hurry and needed to leave at 6:45pm to make our show. Our cocktails arrived at 5:45pm after us asking if there was a problem with our order. In addition to our order, the waitress brought and took away a Martini no one from our table ordered. Second round of cocktails arrived at 6:45pm (30 minutes after ordering). We all ordered the special which included a salad, entree, and desert. Desert arrived at 7:00pm and we immediately requested the check. Our check included the Martini no one ordered and we were charged for an additional two cocktails that were not ordered. 20% "Service Fee" for our exceptional service was automatically added to the ticket. Due to being in such a hurry to make the show, I chose not to dispute the $51 overcharge and move on. Check was split between two credit cards. On the way to the show I received another credit card notification indicating Carillon charged my card again for the entire amount! ($684.86). I went back to the restaurant after the show to ask what happened. The manager was aware of the mistake and said she was discussing with accounting. I was told that I needed to call them on the following Monday and speak to accounting. I called Monday and the issue was resolved. On a positive note: The food was incredible!! Unfortunately, customer service is only as good as the person providing it. In this case, it appears the chaos was apparent between all the tables that night and I can only assume it was caused by poor management. I would love to try some of their other entrees, but it's not worth dealing with the poor service again.
