Very clean and didn't have to wait long. Very glad they use a razor on the neck with warm lather. I missed that with other barbers in the past. Made a big mistake coming here on a Sunday when my normal barber was closed.. I've been growing my hair for over 7 years. All I wanted was a shape up, basically cut all my baby hairs, side burns and all the short hairs that wasn't my long hair. I've been getting this shape up for years so there should be a distinct line where she would need to cut. I did have my hair in a braid but when she showed me the back I saw that there was hair sticking out. I started to pulling out my long hair.. turns out she cut higher then she was suppose to.. I was more sad then mad.. just made me realize I cannot go to these types of barbers because they are really not professional. read more

I never ever went to TD Barber shop. Ive been next door to Glory Days many many times... But never went to TD Barber, and then, One day, I needed a haircut really bad, and met Ann at TD Barber. She gave me the best haircut ever! I have been coming back ever since! All the barbers here are great, no need to book.. This place is legit and I've been going here for over a year. I've tried out the other highly rated barber shops in the area and also Hair Cuttery but they didn't work out for me. This place is family run and has been for awhile so they have the experience. I usually go to Tuan who is up front and I never have to worry about getting the Edward Scissorhands treatment. At most places I'll take a peek at the mirror every so often to make sure I don't look ragged but I don't even bother here as it's always good. Price?: $15 cash or check for guys and $14 for kids. Clean?: Yes, very much so. This is usually overlooked because you can be exposed to some nasty stuff at barber shops. Friendly?: Yep, they'll talk to you if you're that kind of person or just leave you alone and do work if not. I've been going here for at least 5 years. I got the recommendation from my brother who had also been going here for a couple years before that. I found out that my dad and my older brother had been taking my nephews here for a long time. When I walked in they quickly recognized me and asked if I was related to them. Apparently my whole family goes there. I even saw the owner at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. I didn't recognize him at the time until way after he had waved to me. The only reason I did not rate this one star is because the owners are very nice. I have been going to TDs for about 10 years on and off. But I'll say the service has gone down hill...(you get what you pay for...) I have been seen by them the past three hair cuts and I am left dissatisfied every time. Always left with hair all over my face to the point where I have to go use their bathroom to wash my face off. The lady I have seen the past few times doesn't seem to have attention to detail or just does not really care about the job... Maybe it's because I may be considered a young customer? But I always leave at least a ten dollar tip...Either way, I guess I will have to resort to having to make appointments to see my booked up friend for $30 bucks! read more

It can get crowded on weekends but they have a full staff to support it. Cheap. Hair cut was fine, however the clean up was not good. No attempt to blow hair off of my head, when I asked for gel the barber just dipped fingers in gel and stuck it on middle of my head did not move it around or anything. When I walked out I had to do it and had gel and hair stuck all over my hands. I got hair cut around 2 pm so I had to still work . I won't be back here due to when I do get haircuts it's generally in middle of day and have appointments still to run. Only go if you have time to go home and shower afterward. We came here to have my 15 mo old son's first hair cut after reading good reviews. The wait was about 25 minutes, which was a bit much for entertaining him, but not terrible. The lady who cut his hair had him sit on my husband's lap and put a little kid cartoon like apron on him and an adult one on my husband. My son did not sit still at all! The lady was a saint and got his hair cut with great patience. He didn't cry or freak out, he's just a busy body. It was $14 for a child cut. We'll go back again. read more

I've been going to TD Barber Shop every two weeks for 5 years and I keep going back because of the attention to detail. Linda is truly fantastic, and has been my regular barber all of these years--I pretty much stopped giving her any direction 4 years ago! She takes her time and puts the finishing touches on with the straight razor and shaving cream. She pulls the mirror off the wall to show me the back, but I stopped really looking a long time ago because it's always perfect. As others have noted, the prices are $15 for a basic cut. Theun greets everyone as they come through the door and every barber seems to take a lot of pride in their work. Yes, it can get crowded, but I've never waited longer than 15 minutes to get in Linda's chair. I take both of my sons there and recommend this place to anyone and everyone looking for a great barber shop. read more

Finally found a great barber after going multiple places in the Burke area. Prices are similar to everywhere else - $15 for a basic cut. They take their time with you and pay attention to details. The shaving cream and straight razor at the end is always great. One minor drawback: because they take their time on you, sometimes there's a bit of a wait on the weekends.
